Yay! Mystery solved! *throws confetti*

Thank you, Sabreenei, veeia and Sheryl for the investing and answers!  <3  Thanks everyone else for trying to help narrow down the answer.  :)

Now to get some extra dialogues with my pixel man!

I love that white color for the ball outfits.  How does one use that?  I've never modded anything, so I have no clue how to do any of that.  I will probably break something, but for that color change (even though I like the red as well) I might try.

I really like that art too.  Looks like his biggest fear is everyone knowing he has blood on his hands.  :o

It's actually not too hard to use a already done mod (I don't know about making them from scratch!!), but it's a little different than mods have been in the past, because of this engine.

Right now to use a mod, you download the mod manager on Nexus, and you download the mod(s) you want to use. You have to make sure the mods you're using are compatible with the mod manager. The one with the white clothes hasn't been updated on Nexus, but if you go to it on Nexus and look in the comments, you'll see where the compatible file is linked to download.

I'm using three mods at the moment -- a black pajama mod, a mod that turns the bits of light tan leather to dark leather, and now these white dress clothes.

The only thing -- once you use a mod, you have to have a mod in place to open up that save. If you want to get rid of your mods, you have to make a "fake" mod (which is really easy, by the description), and put it in your folder. I recommend backing up your saves before installing any mods, just in case!

edit:

I thought the white and blue/black matched the color scheme of the whole ball much more too.

Spoiler

And I don't remember the first time doing the jail, but re-doing it on all these tests, I showed up in the pajamas! Good thing I had them modded :P

Okay, Sabreenei, thanks!  I'm going to show this to my son later and see if he is able to hold my hand while I do it

I lied earlier.  I did once download a mod that allowed FemShep to have like 50+ outfits in ME3.  But then DLC was released, I bought it, and it broke the mod.  So I never did it again because I didn't want to have to keep re-doing it.  I guess I wouldn't have to worry about that now with ME3 but maybe I should wait until DA:I is done with DLC?

Hurray! Thanks everyone for the detective work and Sheryl for finding the answer. Hopefully this gets patched so those not in the know will get their Blackwall fix!

Joe asked pages and pages ago about that armor.  Heavy Adventurer?  I think you can buy the recipe for it in Redcliffe from the dwarf vendor stall.

Anytime a new patch gets released, the mods have to be updated. Once in awhile things will be okay, but normally any patches break the mods. For this, theoretically, you could make a fake mod, and then continue playing without problems -- you'd just be playing without the mod anymore. You could still go back to your games. The problem is if you had a mod on your character, like a created complexion & makeup, and took it out -- you might look funny! :D Or, like in DAO, people would end up walking around naked. Which was sometimes hilarious. Maybe it explains why Sera has a thing for stealing breeches!

The mods that are out now are mostly re-colors or textures, and if you uninstall them, they clothes would still be there, they'd just go back to their original colors. Plus, people seem to be really fast to update things right now. So might as well play now, who knows when the patching and DLC will be finished!

re: Heavy Adventurer Armor -- Yes, you can buy it at Redcliffe! But it's level 1, and it's only for humans, and it doesn't have any arm or leg slots.

So, mystery solved? Sheryl, thanks for coming here and explaining all this!

If you want to see the post-Revelations personal questions, the only thing you can do right now is not exhaust all the questions in Blackwall's pre-Revelations personal question hub

Wow, so my guess was correct after all. Now we'll have to decide which question in the first set of let's-talk-about-you is the least interesting so we could ignore it until Revelations, I suppouse  :)

I'm wondering. If you need to have a line left to trigger it, does the dialogue for that unasked line go away after revelations? Because on Veeia's screenie, I didn't see any of the options from previous unasked questions.

Or maybe there's just a lucky few that got the convo, even after asking the questions!

I can't remember (and can't get into the game atm) do we get some more "about you" questions once we get to Skyhold? Or if you exhausted them in Haven, was that it for the "about you" tree?

As Dorian says, "Questions, questions."

Any news on the other Rainier dialogue bug, Sheryl?

There's only one set of "about you" before revelations, Sabreeni. And I...assume that whatever option I had before revelations went away since it was no longer relevant. I could go in my file and check later tho.

Hanako, what other bug?

Sad sighs.
Still convinced there's no Blackwall chest scene because they didn't want to animate all his chest hair, so they went for the smooth chested boys (Cullen, IB, Dorian) instead

I would have been happy with seeing his concept art in game (the one where he's ripping the griffon pendant from around his neck at the gallows). I mean we got to see Varric's chest hair! Mind you I don't think the inquisition can take that much epic chest hair!

And thanks to Sheryl for answering our queries!

Hanako, what other bug?

The one where even after confirming a romance with Josephine, his half of the dialogue about it like his party banters with others still triggers.

I remember Sheryl said she was going to look into that.

I can live with either chest hair or no chest hair - just getting his coat/quilted jacket/padded armor thing off is enough for me (although I must say that he certainly doesn't seem hairy anywhere other than on his face and his head if the romance tarot is anything to go by). Maybe I should just resign myself to waiting for the new season of Orphan Black and hoping that Cal might go shirtless.

Looking at the Talktables (just random ones) and I just saw this:

"My lady? Oh Maker, let her keep breathing..."

in the Temple of Mythal one. Is this what Blackwall says if you've romanced him and drink from the well? (havent' done that), but...for...science....I might....because...panicked Blackwall worrying about Quizzie's life....

edit: oh, okay, I see Hanako! I actually got that and I had forgotten about it, but I think I was just so happy to hear ANY banter, it didn't bother me, lol.

Yep. I took this option once for science and it made me go

Whoa, okay, good to know! I can't believe I didn't ask him all the questions before Revelations with my first character! Must have reloaded at some point and decided not to exhaust them again, highly likely I suppose now that I think about it.

Yay for sloppiness! Go Veeia! =D

I guess I know what I'm doing when I get to the Well this time!!!! Well, temporarily because none of my Inquisitors have plans on being one of Mythal's thralls long-term. When I first went to the Well, Blackwall seemed to feel so strongly about it that I was like: "Okay, sweetie, if you're really that worried...I'll let Morrigan drink even though I'm super curious about what's going to happen....but you owe me a back rub or something later."

Yes to the Mythal scene, my husband chose that route and looked at me like a loon for swooning. He also rushes to see if you are ok when you wake up.

This was me too! But hearing the conversation the opposite way.... well, someone is going to have to try it sooner or later, might as well see what happens with him! (and probably reload, but you know, science!!)

I had Dorian, Blackwall and Varric with me first time at the well, all of them together persuaded me not to do it.

I was totally going to drink the well because I was irritated with Morrigan's continual inability to be forthcoming. My inner Aeducan was screaming to not let her have the well, that Morrigan couldn't provide answers on why she wanted the dark ritual so badly in Redcliffe and in Witch Hunt, that Morrigan could very well be denied the answers she sought from the well in return. Man, poor Cadash. I lost sight of her in that moment. Anyway, I asked my companions what they thought and was touched by Blackwall's concern. Ended up letting Morrigan have it (sorry, Aeducan!) because it really wasn't something Cadash would have done in the first place. I had a good, long laugh when Flemeth appeared. That was worth it. =p

Blackwall always ends up with max approval by the end. I love the woodworking scene.

I just wish that I could flirt with him as a guy. Not a full blown romance, just a harmless flirt. Is that too much to ask BioWare?

I'm bummed there weren't any flirt options for guys, but I suppose it makes sense because Blackwall doesn't really have the subtler flirts the others do, he's all zero to HEY BOY I HAVE SOMETHING 4 U IN MY BED, lmao, so it would have required two paths for his responses right off the bat.

...unless you mean as a LI, which of course id be down for, even tho the choice of Blackwall vs Dorian would be v traumatic.

I love it how most of the times you talk to Blackwall he's in the process of doing manly stuff. Like chopping wood or carving.

Should have framed every conversation that way. I was half expecting one where he was skinning a bear or changing a tire on his Dodge Ram or something.
