I'm bummed there weren't any flirt options for guys, but I suppose it makes sense because Blackwall doesn't really have the subtler flirts the others do, he's all zero to HEY BOY I HAVE SOMETHING 4 U IN MY BED, lmao, so it would have required two paths for his responses right off the bat.

...unless you mean as a LI, which of course id be down for, even tho the choice of Blackwall vs Dorian would be v traumatic.

Nah, I'm not asking for a romance. (Although he and my Inquisitor would make one great pair of beards). Just a flirt option. Girls could flirt with Cass and Dorian. Guys could flirt with Sera and Cullen. I just wish the option was there.  Maybe a subtle flirt for a guy Inquisitor like the first Cullen flirt, which wasn't even that flirty.  IDK.

I love it how most of the times you talk to Blackwall he's in the process of doing manly stuff. Like chopping wood or carving.

Should have framed every conversation that way. I was half expecting one where he was skinning a bear or changing a tire on his Dodge Ram or something.

I just wish his casual outfit in Skyhold was a red plaid shirt.  Perfect lumberjack right there.

As long as he has at least a few buttons undone, I can accept a red plaid shirt - lol.

EDIT: Belated edit - who am I kidding, I'd prefer that all the buttons on his shirt be undone.

I was a bit miffed that Blackwall couldn't get flirts from dudes. I mean Cass could get flirts from fem quizzy's, which I took as much as I could before the option disappeared.

@Mythal I wasn't about to drink a mysterious magical things. My husband thought it made sense with his character's elvan heritage. Glad I was able to see the scene!

I think having guy's being able to flirt with him would have been great. I'm sure he would have been nice about it. At least having more joking convos with him - showing the side of him you saw in party banter.

Yeah, I flirted with pretty much everyone for fun - couldn't hurt to let the guys flirt with him, too!

It would have been awesome to have flirt options with Blackwall for male IQs! Pretty sure my husband would have taken advantage, and it would be a strong incentive for me to finally role a male character. Plus, you know, he's a brooding bear with a burr- this is universally appealing. And if it's not, the world is full of wrong.

Yeah, my Inquisitor could only admire from afar. He recruited Blackwall ASAP. At Haven they had many manly conversations and such, but my guy was always hoping in vain for more. This was all while I was going all OCD in the hinterlands before I stopped at Redcliffe and recruited Dorian.

He's really happy with Dorian so no worries.

@sandal: I adore Dorian for his snark, his wit, and his charm. He's probably tied with Varric for bestie status at this point for me (maybe I'd even give him a slight edge over Varric at this point - just wish he had more to say, but alas, all conversation with Dorian in the library is exhausted atm) .

Yeah, Dorian is awesome.

I like that his banter with Blackwall goes from hostile, to an uneasy truce. Although Dorian can be a bit of a meanie with his 'ever heard of soap?' comments. Lol.

But they really do form a truce of sorts.  Blackwall saying "Do you think we could ever be friends, Dorian?" (complete with a weary sigh because he just *knows* Dorian is going to say something sassy lmao) made me go D'aaawwwwwww.

And then Dorian pretty much says 'yeah but it will take some work...... Also lot's of soap.'

I love taking those two around with me and listening to them squabble and eventually try to play nice.

They're such polar opposites I loved having Dorian and Blackwall together in my party.

@sandal: Yeah, I know what you mean. I like that they end up getting along relatively well in the end, and they're always good for humorous exchanges. I think I got the truce conversation again yesterday when I was in the Hissing Wastes. Then I got one of their more humorous conversations.

They actually seemed simpatico at the start of that particular conversation, and then towards the end, Dorian said something to the effect of: "I guess you're not a complete moron after all!" And then Blackwall said something like: "I thought we were having a moment, but now you've gone and ruined it." I laughed, of course - <3 those two guys together.

Oh no, I better leave the thread before I end up posting a five paragraph easy about Blackwall, Dorian, and Sera: my favorite team, my favorite LIs, my favorite bros.

My favorite is when Blackwall says, "So this Corypheus. He's one of your's?"

And then Dorian just flies into this ranting joke about Corypheus being some sort of deranged pet.

@sandal: Hahaha, I love that Corypheus banter! If I ever get a hamster, I'll have to name it Corypheus - but it will never be allowed to pee on the carpet. And in this analogy, the carpet...is actually the carpet.

Agreed! Dorian and Blackwall are my two favorites. <3

I would've loved to be able to flirt with Blackwall as a guy. As a human, he still does have the early line in Haven, when you choose "Is it we already?" and he answers, "Too soon? I thought we were building a rapport.", that almost sounds like a flirt. Takes the place of the race specific dialogue that others get at that moment, I believe.

I nearly always have Dorian and Blackwall in my party, it's so hard leaving one of them back at home. I try to remind myself to give others fair play, but I want my boys.

Lmao, true, but I'm feeling blah today, so it would end up like a 5th graders first essay.

I love bLaclwall, Sera, and Dorian because of three reasons: they are a great team, they have good romances, and they are good friends to you.

First they are good romances. If you date them, you are sure to feel emotions, like a real romance!

Second they are a good team. They fight sometimes but then are friends so it is like how people are.

Lastly, they are good bros. they will always be there for you. That is how friends are supposed to be, as defined by Merriam Wevster dictionary.

In conclusion. (Copies and pastes first paragraph)

I was pleased with how fleshed out Dorian was. On my recent game, when I did his personal quest, I didn't bother clicking on the investigative dialogue that clarified his interest in men because y'know, been there, heard that. When we got back to Skyhold, lo and behold, there was a new dialogue option: "You led me on." He realizes that his flirting gave the wrong impression, apologizes for his part, and asks if the Inquisitor wishes him to stop. Choose "Don't you DARE" and he shares a good laugh with the Inquisitor. That was great to see. I really ought to give other companions a chance. Dorian's been in my last two games. I will let him catch up on his reading material next go-around. ;)

I've only done 2 romances so far, and I think I picked the right ones to try first! Blackwall for raw emotion and feelz, Dorian for stuff that makes my heart flutter with happiness.

So what Armor do you think looks the best on Blackwall?

Warden, by far! I mean, even for just pure aesthetics. The others on him are very bulky.

I made an album somewhere in the thread of all his different armor variations after someone requested it....too far back to find on mobile though. If he could wear Legion of the Dead, it looks good bulky on him iirc, but unft he can't.

Edit: Templar is good too.

I agree I put him in Warden and Templar armor. I am not saying he need sexy ("Cough" black leather), but some armor in his style that is a little slimming.

The Warden Battlemage armor is a bit...too slimming, at least in the preview. I haven't made it for him....I...should...Orlesian Battlemage is also fun, even though it's a know, not heavy armor looking.

(looking through the screenies I took for that album)
