The Warden Battlemage armor is a bit...too slimming, at least in the preview. I haven't made it for him....I...should...Orlesian Battlemage is also fun, even though it's a know, not heavy armor looking.

It is but there is a special material to unlock it for all classes. (For light armors its Dales Laden Wool)
I mean I haven't made it, but since there's a preview for it and it's a unique version for him, I assume it works. I can go test that now, though, because a) it sounds hilarious and b. why not.

I like the defender variant of his standard armor best because of the chainmail. Looking over your album, I'm very intrigued by the enchanter mail since it removes the Grey Warden logo, which would make sense post Revelations. I wonder how that would look with shoulder modifications, to make it a bit more warrior-like.
Defender armor (chainmail appearance), I like him best in gold/yellow personally.

Found some nice blue silk with a pattern - need to check on the name later. It's pretty on its own...but it would probably be a colossal disaster if combined with plaideweave (which I guess is the whole point in a ridiculously silly outfit - lol).
Yes!!! Silk brocade. One of my friends just made an outfit out of that and plaidweave for Dorian, and I love it.

@veeia: Bwahahaha, poor Dorian! Dang, I thought I'd found something else, but it turns out when I used it that is was more gray than anything else - meh. With a name like royale sea silk, seriously, I was expecting MORE blue. Anyway, I guess you really can't do much better as far as bright blue goes than the silk brocade there - lol.
Based on veeia's link, I just made the enchanter armor in the game for Blackwall and I can only customize the color of his belt and his pants under it, but no graphics show up when light arms and legs are added on. It was a good try though.
And whoah, there are armor designs that I didn't even know existed. As a dwarf warrior, I would open up the crafting screen, scroll through armors that *I* could wear and make them. Blackwall would either get my hand-me-downs or wear whatever dropped off NPCs. I never bought human-only armors, pfft. So I was surprised to find this design way at the bottom of my schematic list. I'm googling and don't see the Tier 3 equivalent for it. Was wondering if it changed to chainmail eventually. Hmm.
Okay, did some crating experiments! Unfortunately I can't get my Cadash to load, and she has the most materials. But I made him a Hulk Themed Orlesian Battlemage outfit and a rogue outfit (Free Army Scout) that is legit working for me, minus the weird crotch thing but just look at the sexy scarf and straps....
And finally, finally...I've finished freaking Chapter 2, so it's up now if anyone was actually waiting for it (also, curse you AO3 for yanking all of my paragraph returns *shakes fist*).

Oh wow, that's some epically ugly armors. And here I was doing my best to make Blackwall as handsome as possible. The only person I've showered with plaidweave has been Sera, but she actually looks good in it. Blackwall has been in some regal royal blue. 
He definitely dresses better than my quizzy.
