Thanks veeia! Oh you make me really want to go back and get new scenes at the judgment. I looked at the tool again and all I usually have been doing is turning off the depth of field settings entirely. Curious to see what I get if I just cahnge focus distance.

A friend of mine came over today and he's playing a human Rogue who romanced Cass. He asked who I romanced and I was thinking oh, man, this guy is one of those cynical people so what is he going to say about it? Hah. So I told him. He started talking about how hilarious he and Sera are (he is not a Sera fan overall, though, but says that her banter with Blackwall is worth it). I told him he needs to start bringing Dorian, but he really doesn't seem keen on Dorian. I think I convinced him to at least start putting all three of them in a party for giggles, though. Teehee. 

 

As an aside, I did figure out how to tell what my approval is with everyone. Max is 125, turns out mine is maxed with everyone but Viv, who is sitting at 88.

 

Re: cinematic tools, the character lighting can be a little tricky. I've had best luck with just going with top light and setting all of the numbers to .05. I'm sure fiddling with it I could get some nice effects where the light has just a touch of yellow or something, but I haven't really worked it out that far. One thing is that the settings reset every time you change areas, bit me a couple of times after I carefully set stuff up. Grar. 

 

Also, I will not be able to get the 'Bad Lieutenant' thing out of my head now.

@Bay: Oh yeah, I tried that - I've been out to Emprise du Lion and done several quests, popping back and forth between Emprise du Lion and Skyhold...still no Cullen - can't figure out what's up with that, but whatever. It's okay since I vaguely recall it working on my first playthrough. I can live Cullen being MIA - I'll just pretend he headed off to the Arbor Wilds before everyone else did - lol.

 

Just popping in quick, don't have all your info, but I'm wondering if this is related to the bug with doing Sera's pranks first? If this doesn't apply, ignore me.

Hmm, yes, I'm pretty sure that I did the pranking thing earlier in the game. Haven't heard about a bug related to it until now, though. Welps, maybe Sera and I should have stuck to baking cookies on the roof...

If it's the wrong story, well, oops! I assumed that cred was talking about something DA:I-related. What's funny is that I did a search for the story title, and the very first thing that came up was a Supernatural fan fic involving Sam and Dean (speaking of which, if that Supernatural thing was one of those weird Sam-Dean incest stories that another friend told me about...I am soooooooo not going there).

Is it the What Did you Do with Blackwall thread in Scuttlebutt? I just saw it and went "...nah, prob not worth my time"

But I imagine it could be a myriad of other ones, lol. There are so many threads I actively avoid, haha.

 

... in rereading this, I gotta say that... I don't want to chime in on a thread like that. It would go like this:

 

"What did I *do* with Blackwall? Well first I **** then I ****, and after that we did that again about 5 more times, which was pretty awesome, then we - oh. Actually, this tale will probably get me banned unless this is an 18+ forum. Is it? Or are ya'll a bunch of children? Don't answer that."

There is actually a thing called PlotFlagInquisitor: http://sourceforge.n.../?source=navbar I just found out about this in the last day or so, you can crack open your saves n stuff. Note: don't suggest cracking it open if you haven't already been through the game. There's accidental spoilers of sorts. I mostly did it for the lols because I have to stick my nose in stuff.

I'm still reeling with embarrassment that I found him fairly boring during my first PT, but I do blame the banter bug for that. It needs to be fixed, stat. Like "real" fixed,  not these Rube Goldberg-ian workarounds. :/

 
Same here, I didn't visit the forums to avoid spoilers so I didn't even know about the banter bug.
Actually I decided to romance Blackwall because my first playthrough was more of a test than anything and I thought that he was the least likely to get romanced in a more canon playthrough... 
 
Then I got that banter where he ask Solas about his "friends" in the Fade and I went: "Oh! he does have a sense of humor!!"
 

 

His laugh is the best. And his little growl when he shows up on your balchony... Love

And he has great stamina because he wasn't even panting after climbing all the way up there!

@cred: Ah, so that's what it was - mystery now solved! Hmm, interesting read...although it's 3:39 AM and I really only have ice cream sandwiches in the freezer. I guess the bowl of ice cream thing is kind of out of the question for me (also, I should go back to sleep if possible - had the weirdest Eureka-related dream before suddenly waking up...and I mean the former SyFy show).

Hello fellow Blackwall fans! My first post on these forums - I'm a little shy *smiles nervously*. Apologies if I repeat any thoughts anyone else has already voiced - I have read most of the thread but may have missed one or two things!

 

I actually romanced Cullen on my first PT as a mage, but decided to 'climb the wall' (*dirty cackle*) for the second PT as a dual dagger rogue. And, oh boy, I was not disappointed. I'll straight up admit I enjoyed the Blackwall romance more than the Cullen one. Why? Having given some thought (okay, a lot of thought ), I feel like the BW romance is more mature and more angsty, and I kinda enjoyed the fact it wasn't all hearts and sparkles - perhaps it's more realistic that way? Also, I was thinking that Blackwall never actually says the words 'I love you' to your Quizzy, but there is no doubt that he does (I should say that I am just post-Revelations, and haven't had the final couple of scenes/convos with him), and I'm okay with that - it's in keeping with his gruff, direct, man-bear character.

 

Does anyone have any thoughts on when they think Blackwall falls in love with the Inquisitor? My personal impression was that there was more lust involved at the start, but that evolved over time of course into love.
