I was talking on tumblr about how when I look at non-bearded Blackwall it just reminds me of the time my cat got a lollipop stuck to his butt and then had a giant bald spot where majestic fluffy hair once was and my amazing friend made this

 

 

I can't stop laughing lmao. 

 

I had one of those lolipops once and I swear there was a hair inside it. So nasteh.

Thank you so much!  I hadn't written anything since I wrote those stories, but your comment made me think.

 

My worst enemy has always been my editing, because I will spend forever and a day editing as a write, making it take sooo loooong to get anything done. So, last night and today, I gave myself just an hour to write a drabble, without really editing it. (I did go back and fix a few grammar mistakes, but I'm not counting that!)

 

I don't know that I'll put these up on fanfiction.net with my old stuff, since they're just little and unedited and such utter crack. But maybe. For now it's just tumblr, so that I can get some practice in again.

 

Not everyone's cup of tea (and it's all sfw, so no good stuff as yet), but here's a horribly awful crack ship sort of flirtation, with Blackwall & Dorian, because i love them so much singularly that I had to put them together.

That's my approach to fanfic too...I just can't apply the same level of rigor I do to other writing because then I spend my time writing fanfic instead of original stuff or I never finish it, and it's all horribly indulgent fic anyway, so I like to just get it out and call it a day.

I just wanted to say you are not alone. I love shipping unconventional ships(Arishok/Fem Hawke or Fem Trev/Solas). It's a past time for me. To the point that it's rare that I go after or read fanfics of canon established couples, unless I was shipping them before they became canon (Fem Shep/Garrus or for a time Buffy/Spike).

I was playing and at the scene that dorian and cullen play chees when i was playing i pick the romance option that says someting like "we should spent more time together"
And cullen response was " don't you preffer the company of blackwall?"
And my inquisitor answer was " yes, of couse. But de can be friends."

Still love this thread the best. Briefly looked at other threads. Actually saw some really reasonable stuff in one of them, but then someone always comes along and goes nuts and it makes my brain hurt.

I like to occasionally write some fanfic mostly because it will CONSUME ME if an idea lodges in my head. I am going to need an AO3 account at some point.  

 

But my original characters will also consume me, and they know where I bury the bodies, soooo... if I ignore them for too long... they come up with stupid ideas like "but what if WE visited Thedas!" No. You will do no such thing. You are GROUNDED. Do other people have these problems?

It is. I love my Blackwall beardy, but I'm all for people using mods that make the characters more attractive to them. I used to give Alistair scruff and hazel-bluish-greenish eyes (and Anders blue eyes) because I like my blonde/blue eyed tropes. (If you could call them tropes.)

 

Anders was a side effect at first, from modding Alistair. They used the same color eyes, and that's the one I'd modded for Alistair. Then when I met Anders in awakenings, it was always the color eyes he had and I could never go back.

 

edit: @veeia: the only ones I don't like are the whitewashing ones. The only thing I ever did to Isabela was to give her more pants in her pants, lol. She was pretty awesome the way she was.

I've been recording all the scenes with Blackwall's romance on my Lavellan (using Alix Wilton Regan's voice), but for a music video.  I don't think there are any music videos for Blackwall's romance yet, at least on YouTube... I know there are plenty for Solas and Cullen (and I have contributed to their numbers ).  I wish I could skip to the scenes I need so I can continue working on it and upload it ASAP XD
