@cap: I was going to ask if Anora still had that single giant Princess Leia-style danish stuck on the back of her head, but I just found a video with her and King Alistair in Redcliffe, lol. I see that her hairstyle has changed a bit.

I really have to wonder at why they didn't break that scene up into two parts. It just begs to be two different cutscenes. I mean, my girl doesn't care and would kiss him all day long no matter when, where or who was watching, but she's just like that. Who am I kidding, the door to her quarters was right there, she'd probably have grabbed him by his chains and dragged him through the door, waving goodbye to Josie and the   faced nobles.

 

But still, it just needs two parts. The judgment and the discussion in private.

Right? I wouldn't even mind if they were each a little bit shorter, but the entire court doesn't need to know that the inquisitor freed a murderer from jail because a) she had another man go in his place and because he was her boyfriend.

 

I think the writing was just a little... naive in this case. Abaeni is definitely a private person. She would never have kissed Blackwall in front of the queen!

They don't say it, but it's her face and dress, so I just assumed that it actually was Anora.

Yeah, from a logical standpoint, it doesn't make sense to have a really public judgment if you choose the swapping option. I would have expected it to have been held somewhere really private - like maybe downstairs from Josephine in that rather large, empty room without any spectators.

I'm having trouble taking screenies of my current Quizzie, I play on console and I must be very quick putting the controller down, grab my mobile and take the pic with a firm hand. All the pics I've tried to take saturday are blurred -.-

I head canon that it happened differently in the real story (i.e. my headcanon), and the game mechanics just couldn't show it.

 

BUT.

 

If I had to accept the game as canon (in tags because it mentions the unmentionable in good company):

After that little smile they give the IQ as Blackwall is walking away, Kiara would've suddenly been like, "Hey, don't turn and walk away from me after that. We still have a lot of talking to do. No, don't take the chains off him. He's coming with me!" Then grabbed a hold of those chains and practically dragged him through the door to her chambers. Josie would be going, "Inquisitor??" and Blackwall, "My lady??" And she would've shushed both of them, shut the door in the noble's faces and then yelled at Blackwall all the way up the stairs. "What did you think you were doing??! How dare you not tell me about this. And then try to judge me when I get you out. Like I could just leave you there. Don't you know what you mean to me? You stupid, stupid man. Don't know how to be with me as Thom Rainer, hrrmmff. As if a name is going to change who you are? I think not. People are more than their names, don't you know that?? " He wouldn't be able to get a word in edgewise. Then once they reached the top of all those stairs (good thing she's so in shape, so she can yell and climb stairs at the same time), she would've totally pushed him back on the bed, utterly surprised him by covering his mouth with hers and then had soul-searing sex, not allowing him to speak or take off the chains. At least, not until it frustrated her just as much as it did him.  Afterward, he would've said something like, "I've been thinking of you every night for the past two years" and she would've said, "I want a sandwich."

 

Okay, really he would've said for the past however many weeks. Or days. Or whatever. But she still would've been like,"That's sweet, but I'm starving." And, he'd be totally trying to apologize and my lady this, my lady that. She'd have waved her hand, holding some grapes. "I don't care about that anymore. But say, now that you don't have to hide anything, tell me some juicy stories about the young Thom Rainer!"

I personally don't mind seeing screenies with  text in them. At least you'll usually get a full face option, even if the expressions isn't the greatest.

I agree! I don't mind text or the dialogue option box in screenies either! Since it naturally pauses when you get a dialogue choice, you could just take a picture then!

I've finally got a moment to catch up on the thread, read everyone's bios and see their pictures! You are all amazing, and I love it.

 

I'm glad we're doing this at/around page 500, it'll be a good mark to be able to go back and find them, to read again. I also find it wonderful that given one game, and i actuality not a *huge* difference in choices (not like in some of the previous games), we've all come up with such unique, different characters that relate to the world and Blackwall in their own way. Makes it so much fun to read the bios & see the pictures, and makes me appreciate the game even more.

You should be able to take them during a cutscene? When it pauses on a dialogue choice? Then there wouldn't be any moving action, and it would allow you to steady the phone/camera? I've also seen some people talk about how they get screenies with consoles, but I think it's dependent on the type of console and I really know nothing about it

These are some almost decent screenies I managed to take during my first run, I was still on 360, now we have the one =)

 

With some ehhanced contrast and shrinking they are almost good xD

I checked out the judgement scene on both my solo Queen Anora and solo King Alistair world states. In the audience, there are three placeholders wearing Anora's dress and have the hair bun, but the skin color and hair color are randomized each time. Easy mistake to make, especially if the one right behind Rainer happens to have blonde hair at the right time.

It just came to in the middle of the night but I would like to hear some thoughts on this:

 

There's the Wall Climbers of course who ship Inquisitor x Blackwall

 

There's maybe people who ship Josephine x Blackwall

 

But how about Ser Ruth x Blackwall (the former was denied any judgement and went back to the Wardens, the latter was judged to be handed to the Wardens)?

Fellow Grey Wardens finding common ground in having done bad ****, wanting to die for it, but were denied and now strive to find redemption by protecting the innocent? Perhaps Ser Ruth finds her faith in the Grey Wardens restored with Blackwalls idealism of the Order, and maybe finds something more  ?

When's the last point you can activate Blackwall's romance?  I knew it!!!  I somehow missed it, but kept hoping.  I just finished Adamant and had the bar scene and then he left.  I was somewhat flirty with other companions.  No intention of romancing Josephine, but she asked me for a dance at the Winter Palace (refused).  I didn't always choose the heart option when talking to Blackwall but have been very nice to him and doing things that would raise his approval.  Finished all his quests.  I know for a fact that when first arriving at Skyhold I did not choose the heart option.  Is that the last point to activate the romance?  Most companions/advisors are friendly to me except Blackwall who ignores me.  Waaaaaah!

Unfortunately, you have to choose the heart option during your first talk at Skyhold.
