I also like the Solasmance, it was my first partial playthrough (I deleted her shortly after Skyhold because I let everyone at Haven die and accidentally let my clan get slaughtered, boo).

Before the launch I was all about Cullen but his flirts came too slow. The Blackwall flirting just drew me in so when I re-rolled a human I went for it and well obviously am a huge fan.

@veena is your Trevelyan going to romance Cullen? I have to make a character who just disagrees with Blackwall and avoids flirting to make any other romance happen. I doubt I pursue Solas right now because the lack of content is just a bummer... maybe if a DLC makes it look promising or will tie up loose ends.

@kalalala the Civil Wars song has been stuck in my head since I saw your video! It fits the angsty part of the relationship so well.

Edit: I just watched your other two videos! They are great!

"Well, ****" does lead to the card game. It glitched for me once - the quest did not closed correctly and cardgame cutscene did not fired. Journal's "cleaning" sometimes helps in this case.

My next goal is to romance Josie, then Bull probably.  Cullen's somewhere down the line.  Not sure if I'll romance Solas or not?  We'll see!

 

I probably felt the same amount of squee for Dorian as I did for Blackwall, even though the flavor of the romances are so different.  I'll miss Problem Bear but I do wanna give other romances a shot.

Thank you!  I love that Civil Wars song, too.  It was linked as one of Sheryl Chee's songs she listened to while writing Blackwall in that blog.  I heard it and immediately thought, "Yep, this is going into a video for Blackwall!"

Am I the only one or everybody else has a 0% achievements and a 'coming soon' in their keep? 

What is mpf?  I hope it's not mean, cuz I was just kidding!  I have 0% for DAI as well.  I don't even have 100% for the other games.  I bought all the stuff for DA2 on the Xbox but that game is registered to my sons account so doesn't show up for me  

 

Question for anyone (if anyone) who has DAO Utimate Edition on Steam.  Since getting my new souped up gaming comp it keeps ctd for me every 20 mins or so.  I did some reading up and the only things I've found that sound like my problem is it doesn't like anything newer than directx9 (i have 11) and it doesn't like overclocked gpu?  Is there anyway to get around this or do I have to just deal with it?   I'm not too tech savvy when it comes to messing around with files and such so I get scared.

 

Xetykins: Blackwall does spoil any other romance imo.  I agree with you!  He is def my DA husbando.

The problem isn't overclocking, which just speeds up how fast your CPU/GPU runs. Overclocking means you're trying to push beyond the default clock rates on your CPU or GPU to get better performance. It's usually safe, but if you go too far with it, that will cause instability or crashes.

Anyway, I did some checking (being computerless right now is giving me lots of time to kill - heh) and found a thread that might help. Just follow the directions in the thread linked below, and you can run the batch file that reduces the number of cores the game will use. Hopefully, it can lower or eliminate the number of crashes (although if you've already tried it and it's not working, I guess you'll have to try something else).

Hey guys - I've really tried to look through this thread but I can't find it - just recently learned of the dialogue you can miss with a romanced Blackwall after Revelations if you don't leave any convo tree options open.  Can anyone provide the link of what exactly that conversation entails? What does he say?  Much obliged!

Thanks, Arteyia!  I read it.  My eyes started to cross, lol.  My son is off work today so maybe I can get him to take a look at it and tell me what it means.  It looks like it's preventing the game from accessing all your cores or something?  He should be able to explain it to me in speech I will hopefully understand ...a little, lol.  I actually do better when someone is telling it to me verbally over me reading it.  I think I get intimidated when reading it because I'm afraid I'll misunderstand what they wrote or that they didn't write the correct stuff.

 

I never found that article in my looking last night.  Just the one about overclocked gpu (it came from the factory that way, I didn't do it, lol) and the directx9 thing.  I found suggestions to turn down my graphics and AA.  Maybe I'll try that again...but the game looks so purdy on high and 16x!  *pouts*

Thane4ever: I don't have a link for the convo but I remember you could ask him about where he is really from, if he left any family or wife behind and how he got to be a soldier?  I don't remember if there was anything else or not.  This current pt is the first time I got to ask him that stuff because I had always exhausted all the dialogue options about asking him about himself before Revelations.  It was great to finally get to ask him!

Not before patches, dlc, mods or whatever with better hair and PJs arrive. Yeah, I'm shallow that way. Judgement scene in PJs... just, no.

Nope. I believe veeia's version is romanced? He just says that he "never met anyone he wanted to stay with".

I love Solas, and his voice is to die for, but as I rarely tend to play fem elves (prefer to play male elves for some reason) so any romance is far down the list I'm afraid. If he'd been bi elf only, I probably would be romancing him with my current Lavellan, but would have been a hard decision to choose him over Dorian tbh. I would have been terribly spoiled for choice!

@Thane4Ever -- If you don't mind, I'm curious where you heard this. I only ask because I'm starting to see a fresh spike of new people finding out about the extra dialogue and was wondering what the source was for this go-around. If you're curious, you can also click on "show bioware only posts" for this thread to see Sheryl Chee's post about this oversight and how it happened.

Yeah, you're totally right. I just saw a recent mod that will make the formal attire at the ball turn invisible, meaning you can walk around in your Skyhold outfit and any mods you use for that should still work. I would not be surprised if Skyhold outfits started to get even fancier for that purpose alone. (Too bad about the lack of a dress, but I recall Gaider mentioning on his tumblr that the cinedesigners wanted to incorporate dresses and it got cut because they couldn't make it work or something like that.)
