Does Lavellan yell at Morrigan in game about it being her heritage? I remember earlier I was trying to find the Lav specific dialogue that Weekes said should fire and never did (didn't try THAT hard I was actually just looking to see if there were Solas lines that were supposed to be there but got cut and when I didn't find those, poked around at the other files) but I did see that today while grabbing "Maker's Balls", which made me happy to hear . (I actually haven't reached Well of Sorrows with an elf yet...too much character hopping, I've only finished the game legit twice )

Yeah, when Morrigan goes on about being the only one appropriate to use the Well, Lavellan can say "You alone?  This is MY heritage."

Yep. I'm almost done with my current Blackwall playthrough, and I will be rolling a new Inqy to do it all over again (with a different race, and with some alternative decisions to keep it fresh)! Gotta make the most of my break, right?

Yeah, I went back and drank from the Well after hearing about that... totally worth it.  And, it was in character with my Necromancer Lavellan who holds a similar attitude to the "forbidden arts" as Morrigan.  Heh, Blackwall is going to have his hands full with her XD

I wish I knew the exact lines Scuttlebutt. It wasn't specific dialogue to a Lav, because I got them with my (Dalish obsessed, which is why I remembered them)Cadash. It was like a few ambient lines about them, possibly on the Exalted Plains? If I get time later I'll peek at the the talktables or soemthing and see if I can find them.

I think one of the lines is " Do you ever think the elves will ever have a home again?" or something like that. Totally melted my Lavellan's heart. I think he is sympathetic to both elves and mages (I have to admit, his line to viv " Must it be more complicated than treating people the way you want to be treated?" pretty much sums up my own opinion )

Catwall, I went to go grab a quick screenie or something for you, and maybe make a video since I couldn't find one on YT when I searched, because I have a save right before the Well of Sorrows and I don't remember the exact line, but I got one of those glitches where instead of triggering a cutscene, you just get deposited in the area the cutscene takes place and I'm enjoying romping around the temple of mythal without having to fight anyone.

 

So my point is, I tried, but the game failed and then I got distracted and I failed. Perhaps this is a sign from the Maker that you should wait. (Or...like, someone else will post it. It was in this thread awhile ago...I can't remember when we talked about it. I actually have yet to hear it in game but, dreamy sigh)

Watching Shakespeare Uncovered atm, and this episode is about The Taming of the Shrew. Why is this relevant? Because there was a hot guy with a beard playing Petruchio who could totally be a sexy Blackwall! I'm quite sure I've seen him in something else sans beard...

I was trying to figure out of it was Anthony Howell from Foyle's War (played Paul Milner on the show), but I'm pretty sure it wasn't him. However, the funny part of this is that when I checked IMDB, it actually was Anthony Howell who voiced Gaspard de Chalons in DA:I. Hahaha, so far that's three actors in DA:I who've appeared in mystery series that I watch - lol!

I greatly appreciate the thought and effort, Veeia! No worries though- I just need to deal with Samson and then we're off to the Arbor Wilds. I will experience it soon enough (and make a save so I can experience it again, because reasons.)

And, I had a similar reaction when it happened.  I also went back to my recording a few times to watch it again... and again.  Oh, Blackwall

He is ridiculously dreamy, yes. That voice...I can't even.

 

I'm pretty glad that my husband thinks he's a great character too- we were actually discussing him tonight, speculating about his past life, thinking about what a uniquely player-responsive story arc he has among other CRPG characters, etc- or else I think my pixelcrush would drive him nuts. Which, I admit, brings its own kind of fun.

It's a Skyhold PJ texture mod that I used Cheat Engine to turn into armor.  I'd share a link, but unfortunately the maker of the mod took it off Nexus with the message that s/he's no longer supporting it
