I finished another fan video I was working on.  It's dedicated to the women of Dragon Age but it *does* feature part of the Blackwall romance so it's on topic  .  Just a warning, the song is uncensored so there is some profanity in it.

Hrm, so apparently pressing print screen in Mass Effect doesn't take screenshots like it does in DA:I. I'll have to fiddle tomorrow night to get you guys some pictures of Esri.

 

She may look like a Disney Princess (what else did you expect from Dazzle? ) But she's not soft or sweet. She's a sole surviver and she moved around constantly as a kid, so she doesn't really know how to relate to people and expects them to shrug things off like she does. She's not intentionally cruel, but she does sometimes say some harsh things.

 

Man the game has a steep learning curve though! I'm no kb+m player!

Ah, no, it doesn't. It was actually why I ended up getting fraps back then. And since I was already in the habit of hitting my fraps button when I switched back to DAO, I noticed how much better my screenshots were with Fraps instead of the default screenshot button the game generated. Never looked back. IIRC, the free version allows you to take pictures in BMP format. Paid unlocks PNG. Free video has watermark. Paid removes it. There are other programs you can use, but I don't know enough about them to recommend any outside of fraps.

What I hope to find in the DLC:

 

- The remaining wardens thanking Blackwall for not letting the real Blackwall die, for keeping up his precious work of darkspawn-killing and search of new recruits, Alistair or Loghain honoring him for saving the day at Adamant with his wonderful speech that reminded them of the Warden's ideal.

 

- Blackwall being given a badge of honor together with all the men and women of the Inquisition for saving the ****** world.

 

- A non-rescued-from-prison Blackwall being saved by the refugees in the Hinterlands. I imagine Leliana sending a missive telling them what's going to happen to the hero who saved them from the demons before the arrival of the Inquisition, so they gather enough money to send a small contingent of delegates to try stop the execution.

 

- Josephine falling in a non-romanced Blackwall's arms after he's become enough famous to be taken into consideration as an official life-mate without being the object of a social scandal.

What I will likely see in the DLC:

 

- none of that

 

- new fancy mounts

 

- a lot of Solas and elven history/lore and explanations on what happened in the past wars between elves and humans

P.S. Please can someone make a haired Solas mod? Many don't like Blackwall's beard, I simply can't think of touching that bald head, he reminds me of a nude-cat x Nosferatu hybrid. I just can't.

Is it not F11 that takes screenshots? That's what I was reading on another thread. I'd rather not mess around with extra software if I don't have to, I'm not that computer literate.

Hair would not help it. Beard could! (It helped me with Anders). Ammon Jerro, mmm... Pity elves don't have facial hair. Did you notice all ancient elves in Arbor Wilds were bald as Solas too?

 

Seriously though, I would prefer DLC not to follow Witch Hunt style, be it Solas-centered or not. Sure, my Brosca followed Morrigan through the Eluvian to be reunited with his woman and his son. But all others just received a vague speach about "Winter Change is coming!" Meh.

 

Solas DLC seems to be popular demand, though. He broke a lot of fragile elven hearts. Me, I'll just pass or take Blackwall and Sera as moral support to deal with him.

@CaptivatingKS -- Oh, I have no idea, I'm sorry. It was so bad for me back then that I'd play in windowed mode, hit the "print screen" button, and alt-tab out to paste into photoshop. =p Hope you find something that works for ya.

 

@Ashelsu -- I don't think it'll be Solas-specific since that sounds like something that would come out in the end. Witch Hunt was the last DLC for DAO. The Citadel Party for ME3 was the last DLC. They were both meant to be played towards the end of the game. However I would get a Solas DLC because he took Mythal's essence. If the Inquisitor drank from the well, does that mean he can now summon her instead? What further price is there?

Designer's Notes: This is Flemeth from the previous two games. In this game, Flemeth's story comes to a head -- she knew that Solas would summon her, and that he would need to steal her power to further his plans. She knew that because they are both elven gods...yet Solas has slept for a thousand years and his power dwindled, while she was killed long ago and a spark escaped from her into the body she now holds. She has nurtured that spark, and knew that Solas would need it. He was once her oldest friend, but she knows in his drive to save the elven people he will kill anyone -- even her. She intends to let him have the power, so long as she can pass the essence of her god-hood onto Morrigan, a gift Flemeth had always planned for her daughter yet one Morrigan misunderstood as hostile possession.

Oh well I'm happy to see I didn't kill the conversation, I swear I'll stop making 'art' from now on. I'm not a painter nor an artist, the armor is simply a reworked photo and the background is not mine, I'm a good assembler... perhaps... anyway I thank all the people who liked it 

 

@Ashelsu: Well, I find Solas a bit creepy and he reminds me of an old buddy who craves for young people asking him to tell them his past adventures - every time I ask Solas to tell me about his adventures he reminds me of the Krogan you meet in the Afterlife, the one Aria wants dead   Anyway every time I do or say something he disapproves   To be romanceable at least he must be good-looking dammit, and the only way to make Solas goodlooking -IMHO, of course- is bury his face under a lot of long hair and a thick beard

Hrmm I don't know how I'd feel about a DLC that expands Josie/Blackwall. I mean it could be cute? But I don't really ship it (Josie/Cass is best Josie ship IMO tbh) and I wouldn't want to deal with the wanksplosion that would happen from it. I mean I am pleasantly surprised at how chill Blackwall fans are and I don't think it would turn into another Fenabela situation (had to nope out completely of any Fenris discussions because I am 10000% not here for Isa bashing), but I feel like people have finally stopped talking about how Blackwall is a creepy stalker fetishist (or maybe I just finally got my blacklist refined enough to miss it), sooo. I'd honestly rather not deal with the fallout lmao.

I think I prefer an expansion that gives more story (such as letting us know what the heck went on at the end for sure) and what is to come and also gives us new interactions with our companions since after you beat the game there is a big, fat, NOTHING with anyone
