I don't think there's any danger of companion pairings being expanded on. Didn't Alistair and Leliana get together in Darkspawn Chronicles without the warden? They didn't keep that theme going in subsequent games. Ditto on any other companion pairings that happened in DA2 -- wasn't mentioned in DAI.

 

Know what would be interesting? The Arl of Redcliffe was sent away in both the mage and templar version of the game so he's still alive and available for a potential DLC. Teagan had appearances in the last two games so that'd be fun if he showed up again and if Redcliffe continued to be pivotal for the series, but no clue what the story could possibly be. They wrapped up Connor so that's the last of him.

There were mods for DA2 which added beards for Anders, Varric and Seb. (I used them. With great satisfaction!) Beards for the Inquisition!

Actually, Blackwall noticed elven beardlessness too and asked Solas about it. Solas said he did not see enough elves. Take it as you will.

I was exploring Hissing Wastes today (my favourite location, btw) killing local wildlife (mostly demons and Venathori) and enjoying banter between Sera and Cole. There are slaves you can free. I sometimes clicked at them and got thank you. But today... Suddenly Sera: "I will handle this! (To the slave). See this flag over there? This is our camp, go there and Inquisition will take care of you." And bam, wartable mission "Hire former slaves for the Inquisition" or something (only for Cullen). It never happened to me before. Did somebody have it?

I'd like to see more content related to the main quest added in if the DLC takes place before the end of the game, with some genuinely interesting side quests thrown in. Also, dinner with Blackwall at a fancy restaurant and/or the ability to summon him to the Inquisitor's quarters!

If the DLC takes place after the game, I'd really like to go on a trip to Weisshaupt to find out what happened there. Anyway, I would agree with everyone who wants a storage chest, new hairstyles, etc. I think the Solas issue is too big to deal with in a short DLC, but I do want to find out what's going on eventually (whether it's through a new game or a very large expansion).

In game assets seem to imply story DLC will be about the Qunari. Which would be pretty cool for Adaar since they'd probably get a lot of specific content and they deserve it.

Could be an outdated relic of development tho. Personally I'm not hugely interested in that area of Thedas but it could potentially be cool to have a DLC like that since the Inquisition/IB can have such dramatically different relationships with the Qunari depending on how you played. I also think Bull could use more content, so win/win. I would also be interested in seeing how the various companions react to it.

But of course if we are talking about DLC that deepens a culture/area,my vote is always for Kal Sharok.

I sort of feel like if DLC is going to be postgame story, then I might actually want Solas back first because as much as I get irritated with the eyezoom SOLAS!!!! focus and setting aside my annoyance with the post credits scene in general, I love Solas and would love to see him being a jerk to more Qunari, as he undoubtedly would, lmao.

Did I miss my "BRING SIGRUN BACK" train?!!! Damn college and sleep, making me miss all the fun. Anyway, I know I'm late as heck, just wanted to leave my ever so valuable contribution - Sigrun is awesomesauce and I shipped her and Nate like crazy (since he was having none of me *pout*). As for the DLC, I don't care if it makes me a lame nostalgic malcontent, but I would trade a DLC with Inquisitor for a chance to play as my Warden again  But since that's likely never going to happen ever, I'll be happy with any Inquisition content if it has decent plot, more romance-specific stuff and shiny new armor and weapons. Though, as I said earlier, I would really prefer it to be a DAA-like expansion and not centered around Solas since his storyline looks like more of a next game material, imo.

Yes, I've gotten the war table mission.  It will also pop for you if you click on enough of them yourself.  But I've had Sera free them for me like that as well.

I am hoping for a Grey Warden/What the Heck is going on in Weisshaupt-themed DLC, exploring the issues surrounding a possible cure for the calling. We could plausibly encounter our HoFs in that scenario

 

Also - DLC beginning scene consists of Inquisitor having a nightmare, it ends suddenly, she sits bolt upright in bed, then into the shot appears a topless Blackwall as he sits up next to her, having been in bed with her the entire time! "Are you alright, love?" *swoon*

I got that mission without Sera in my first play-through, but now I know who I will be taking with me to the Hissing Wastes next time...

You know, that imagery reminded me of the ever-popular Ardent Blossom flower crown that you see so many people wearing on tumblr -- those flowers are kept alive because it's actually a ring of lyrium on their heads. Would be interesting if hair loss inevitably occured.

I feel like the DLC will be post end game or a simultaneous one focusing on the HoF. I'm not sure if they would release one with different characters first, though, as there are probably many players new to the games who would not care.

Or maybe a prequel with one of the main characters. Honestly I wouldn't be very excited about a prequel but...

You're not missing the banter between Solas and Blackwall about elven beardlessness because of the banter bug. It was pulled out of the banter array and made to not trigger because it actually contradicts Word of Gaider (i.e. canon).

 

So, what happened was I wrote a bunch of banter while tired and obviously confused about the state of elven facial hair. The banter I wrote got voiced, and then one day, just to be sure, I checked with David Gaider about elven beards. The conversation went kind of like this:

 

"Hey, can elves grow beards?"

"No."

"Er, really? I wrote a banter referencing elf beards."

"You should probably delete it."

"I will."

 

So I went off and tried to make sure that this mistake of mine would never see the light of day. Of course, people dug around in the files and found the soundclips.

 

I would urge you to interpret that banter as Solas trolling Blackwall.
