I'd say a shitstorm is coming after the announcement of the LI and their sexualities regardless of who is straight/gay/bi.
I'll grap some popcorn and enjoy the world/forum burn, because I'm fine whoever we'll get in female (and male) LI .

Yep, same here. I'm just sad that we may not get some characters as LIs at all. I'm not concerned about who will be gay/bi/straight at all, though.

I guess that's more of a problem for the male LI than the females. For the latter Leliana was practically excluded by Laidlaw (and it was kind of difficult to expect her to be a LI from the start), so at worse only one of the new ones won't be a LI, and it's still possible all of them are.
For the male LI there more problems, since we got six companions for, at best (in my opinion there won't be more) three spots (plus Cullen already confirmed).
It's nice to see that the DA fandoms are mostly calm about it though.

Like it or not, romance options are a vastly popular aspect of these games and a ton of players consider it an important part of their immersion.  The LI mechanic is here to stay.

I actually heavily considered this when people were speculating on the beard warden being a former chevalier a few pages back. Maybe, I don't know. Ser Michel did leave Celene but I don't think he'd instantly rush to join the wardens. They're dedicated to fighting Darkspawn and with how they're seeming to slip onto the darker side of gray, they'd probably try to figure out how to use Imshael rather than destroy him.

Yeah... also in the camp of 'it isn't Michel'.  I just don't see it based on the things we've seen so far.

Yes he could easily be ruled out. But, Celene more than likely would want him dead. And, the wardens work outside of the empires reach, but are not above killing one of the own to keep there order safe. Plus, Michel lives by a honor code that would fit the wardens. And, why would they hang a warden that old when they could just send him on a early calling.

I think we can all agree that he will have a masculine name, to match his appearance. Though it could be funny if he was given a more feminine name. A Warden named Sue...
