DLC's I want and may possibly get:
Ending expansion not necessarily romance specific for Solas
Skyhold chest/mods improved armour and crafting
Grey warden/HoF follow up
Citadel style DLC cheesy and fun.
DLC I'd love but will never get
Shirtless Blackwall chopping wood simulator/mini game. The main mechanic is you being able to stop him and he stares at you with those haunting eyes of his. Achievement: Rolled in the hay.
I was hoping for a dungeon simulator where you convince Blackwall to rejoin the Inquisition through the healing power of leather and rope.

Great now I can't get the image of Blackwall as a sexy tentacle monster out of my head. Good thing I overslept because I'm not sleeping tonight. ![]()

I was thinking that I love the way Bioware authors are having fun dismantling their fandom's certainties, beliefs and headcanons, like discovering that all the Dalish lore is a load of crap and that Blackwall is not a full warden and that his name is not Blackwall
So I'd be delighted if in the DLC there will be even more slapping in the face and plot twists. I'd like to discover something huge, like that in ancient times the elves were the dominant race and humans were discriminated, ghettoized and treated like slaves. Then the humans rebelled and kicked their elven arses, becoming the dominant race. It would be too good to be true, I think I could orgasm if I'll ever see a thing like that LOL ![]()

I agree with much of your post, but I wouldn't say that Dalish lore is a load of crap, simply because it contains fundamental inaccuracies (though who is to say that the narrators on either "side" were ever reliable in the first place?) If that's all it takes to render something a load of crap, then all countries and peoples are figuratively sitting on dung heaps. Which, IMO, would be a more interesting direction to take than simply stopping at "the Dalish were wrong." I guess my point is that the Dalish are no more guilty of (wittingly or unwittingly) constructing self-serving narratives than any other people in Thedas. IMO, anyway.
That said, the human were once slaves/elves were once dominant relationship you describe is exactly what happened in the Elder Scrolls universe. It has made for some very interesting tensions in that series, especially since the emergence of the Aldmeri dominion in "Skyrim" and the books by Keyes. It would be interesting to see how Bioware would roll with a similar premise.

Yep, the term 'load of crap' was a bit quick but I agree with what you say. I remember in the city elf origin that you can invent the tale of an ancient elven hero to make children dream about elves making epic deeds. People need legends to be inspired and legends don't need to be true ;D

Exactly. A more realistic metric for assessing the quality of lore is how much cohesion does it foster within the culture it serves- and from that angle, Dalish lore is pretty successful. It doesn't make them more interesting to me though. I've just never been keen on DA elves. *ducks incoming pies* ![]()

Since I read LOTR when I was 13 I've always loved elves and always felt very 'elfy' in real life. I'm not very tall but I'm slender and agile and have an 'elfy face'. Furthermore I love nature and long walks in the woods and I'm fascinated by magic and all things that are considered unscientific. But when it comes to Dragon Age, don't ask me why but I feel very distant from elves, also the dalish, and I can't even blame the fandom spoiling them to me because when I started DAO for the first time I was unaware of all the mass hysteria around them. I was instantly drawn towards the human noble origin and felt suddenly at home in Castle Cousland, while the dalish origin didn't win my heart. *shares the incoming pies with Catwall, catches one before it splashes on the floor and eats it... yummy*
The thing I love most in the dalish origin is Duncan crashing the eluvian in that manly way omg I can't even... *revels in the memory of her first bearded love*
