My nightmare playthrough is continuing. Level 7, things are looking up. Blackwall is allready unkillable, Sera is already a killing machine, and my Trevelyan finally got fire mines. Oh, yes. A couple of unfinished quests, and then it's time for Yellowstone park and its dance of death!

Hmm... I just made a Trevelyan, but I think I'm going to go back to the CC and make a dwarven lass for Blackwall.  I'm going to try to base her off the tarot card for dwarven females (which is beautiful, imo!).  Wish me luck .  I haven't made a dwarf (or a qunari...) yet in the CC.  I'm boring lol.

It's called a footstool. Sometime in love furniture is needed for more than just lying down.

Yeah, I can see how that may be a problem :/.  I hope to mix things up, though, since I mostly play as elves.  I only finished DA: O once with a dwarf... that was probably my most depressing playthrough.  My poor Lady Aeducan had her heart broken by both Gorim and Alistair.  Not only did Alistair dump her after becoming king, but he died sacrificing himself to kill the Archdemon </3

 

Anyway, speaking of Trevelyan, I hope Blackwall didn't mind her staring at him as he leaned against the wall

I hear ya. The problem is that they set all this up with human-to-human animations and then forced the rest of the races to follow suit like hammering a square peg into a round hole. They really could have just had Blackwall bend a knee here and there. The worst of it is the intimacy scene where the camera pans to shuffling feet and the faces kissing and shuffling feet again. It's like ... oh my god, just pick her up and carry her to bed. Kaidan did it for Shepard, it's not hard. =p

 

Iron Bull's romance with a dwarf is great. The team for that really bent over backwards to make it all happen. I was in tears when I saw that they just stuck the dwarf on a box for the balcony scene. No way around it. They just owned it instead of doing the mysterious float.

it's just hilarious that I set her up to be with Sera or Solas, but Solas hates me now, and her personality would clash horrible with Sera's

The first scene is the worst one for Blackwall/Cadash and actually most of the other ones after it are great. I made a photoset of some of my favorite ones awhile ago.

Those look awesome and I kinda regret I deleted her so quick. I just saw that first kissing scene and was like, nope nope nope.

Finished WEWH and have a question: do I have to choose between sparing Gaspard's life and reconcile Briala and Celene? I understand that if I save Gaspard's life Celene exiles Briala, locket or no... did I miss something?

I keep seeing art featuring a fat Blackwall and I can't help but keep thinking of that scene in Hot Shots! 2 (I think it was hot shots 2 but i'm not 100% sure) in which a cruiser removes his helmet and his face under it is pointed, shaped like the helmet...  Imagining that Blackwall's body under the gambeson is shaped like the gambeson's folds reminds me of that

@MrsRobin- I don't know about WEWH (I admit that I race through that quest w/o thinking now because it makes me nervous- all timed stuff does this to me) but I am chuckling about that Hot Shots 2 reference.

I do agree that's funny.

 

Speaking of oddball relationships I still found it funny in my female mage playthrough Blackwall wanted a relationship with Josephine. Sera somehow started the whole thing and when i inquired about it it seemed like it was true. Blackwall sent her flowers and chocolates and other stuff which surprised Josephine. Blackwall played the shy type aspect which I thought was funny. When I tried to help sadly the whole thing ended as a crush thing.    . Frankly Blackwall deserved a girl like her.

I actually dug around for this. It does seem like you're stuck either sparing Gaspard and losing the chance for Briala's reconcilation or vice versa. It's probably just the way the dialogue tree is set up since sparing Gaspard is a star icon that doesn't return us to the main conversation.

 

ALSO, found a very useful guide to WEWH so I bookmarked it. Second link is more detailed and longer. Just has interesting info like what approval gains you'd get with whoever. (Didn't know Blackwall approved if you spared Gaspard. Interesting.)

I don't care if I lose a 'Blackwall approves' because I loved Briala's speech and I like the idea of elves having a representative in high places. And there's nothing like seeing two people in love reconcile :°)

I finally got banter working with some help... But I got a whole pile of banters I'd never heard before, the whole sweet on Josie thing and then my dude quisitor chatted with both of them about it and it was kinda of sweet and kinda tragic really. I still haven't heard that Jose banter or had that convo. Maybe now that I have that CE banter trigger I will. I can't imagine it ever being a pairing i care a ton about, but it does sound cute and sad, and I like those things: lol:

Guys i think my blackwall convo is teally forked and spooned. I pretty much avoided talking to him just so I wont be tempted to romance him, made sure I got the memories of the grey and some generic convo and thats it. So I still should have plenty of convo left. But after revelations I still did not get the extra convo options with him. Any of you guys still experiencing this? I really dont want to youtube it but i guess i'd have to :-(

I had Viv, Bull and Blackwall Veeia (using the CE which I primarily got for the banter add on and schematics) we were on the exalted plains chasing the Snowy Wyvern when I got it to trigger. A conversation with Blackwall and Josie was then available to me, and it was both funny and sad. Flowers appeared on Josie's desk too.

I love the new dwarf retexture!! Can't wait to get into those source files and customize it, now that the modding tools are finally working for me again. I really love that all the big modders are doing that. It's fun to customize and I wouldn't have had any idea what I was doing in general if I couldn't look at their files.

Are you sure you didn't accidentally exhaust that one tree? He has a lot of dialogues but it's only the "tell me about you" one that you have to avoid.
