Yeah, Blackwall's pretty fun to examine on subsequent playthroughs. Also I have this great mental image of a guy yelling at his computer/TV because Blackwall keeps approving of the Inquisitor yelling at him like I'M ANGRY YOU MADE ME ANGRY WHY ARE YOU APPROVING ME OF BEING ANGRY LET ME BE ANGRY AT YOU AND YOU BETTER NOT LIKE IT
And that's when I start looking like my BSN icon

this is why i love his arc. it's so nuanced. you can can play it so many different ways and from so many different perspectives, but you can't engage with it on a fanboy rage level, it doesn't work with that kind of reaction. 
That's the second night in a row Viv has invaded my dream space. Also the ending for the Grey Wardens sounds like a lead in to another story *Bugsie greatly approves*
That's what I'm thinking, too. I was going to have Hawke stay in the Fade on my canon run because I thought the GW would be important in the next game (we still have two Old Gods left at minimum) and I wanted to see Stroud as the familiar face in Weisshaupt, right? (If we end up going there.) Well, ever since I found out that drunk Alistair rejoined the wardens and went to the Orlesian order, I changed my mind. Stroud stays in the Fade because if there's a slim chance that drunk Alistair could be my main point of contact in the next game, oh, hell yes.
I left my other Hawkes behind in alt games just so I can continue to see Loghain and Stroud in the next game, if the opportunity presents itself. I think the GW are still important in the grand scheme of things.
I have recruited every companions except Sera and Blackwall.
Can someone guide me how to recruit Blackwall? I didn't do the Warden's mission in Stormcoast. Is it because of that?
After Val Royeau, Leliana should have told you about a warden in the Hinterlands, which is Blackwall. (It's in the return cutscene, so you don't miss it) Travel to the Upper Lake camp and he's by the cabin there. 
The quest is called "The Lone Warden" and will auto be in your Inner Circles quest section after that conversation. I think it disappears after Adamant?
It's interesting that all the companions we recruit are stuck in a fight of some kind. They are all on the offensive too, except Blackwall. His very first move is a defensive one: blocking an arrow with his shield.

Yes, I see it now, but at the first glimpse I noticed the lower left kitty with the funny mustache, and associated to Blackwall immediately

I don't mind the Blackwall "hate" either. It's a very emotional moment in the game for a player to deal with and I've seen plenty of people give Loghain's character a closer look once the rage subsided. They start to understand his character better and so on. Given time, they'll appreciate the layers to Blackwall's arc and how well it works with the overall theme of the game. The only time I dislike the rage is when the player is mad that he/she was denied the right to execute Blackwall personally in the name of justice when it just boils down to wanting to cut in line first. Extraditing Blackwall is an act of compassion or pragmatism, not a front row seat at the gallows. In fact, I saw a tumblr post the other day that had me laughing. This guy went on about how he hated Blackwall from the beginning and the Revelations stuff just made him despise him even more. He was so frustrated that he kept screaming at Blackwall and Blackwall kept giving out approvals, which just enraged him even more. LOL. That was awesome to read.
As a Rainier hater, I have to agree with this. As a character, Rainier is a great one. He wouldn't evoke such strong emotions on both sides from players if he wasn't. Great characters is basically Bioware's calling card when compared to other Western RPGs. But one can love someone as a character yet despise them as a person. As for the killing him thing, yeah the Inquisitor has no real good reason to do that. If players want that, leave him to Orlais since Orlais has a plenty good reason for that.

You can personally dislike the actions of a character, find them abhorrent to your own personal values, they might remind you of bad things in your own life, a bad love affair, a crappy workmate, an abusive peer and still like and appreciate them. They might remind you of parts of yourself that you dislike or despise the same way other characters remind you of parts of you that you really like. Having said that, whilst I can appreciate characters whose actions/deeds/personality I dislike or hate I don’t tend to spend a great deal of time on what I recognise as good well written characters who I am personally repelled by. I have gone back to characters after a time and come to appreciate them more, but it took a little bit of distance to dissociate myself from. There might be some enjoyment on teasing apart initial feelings on why you hate a character so, but I spend far too much time doing analysis in real life to feel like I need to be intellectually stretched in a form of entertainment too. If I’m compelled I might weigh in, but then I think, I’d rather go for a walk, take Buglet to the playground, draw something, write something, listen to music anything that isn’t debate with a stranger on an internet forum.
What annoyes me most about character hate in general and as a Blackwall fan who is fully cognizant of his failings and weaknesses I’ve occasionally felt belittled and shamed by comments saying I don't really understand his failings or weaknesses, or that I excuse and dismiss them and then being targeted for my supposed personal failings because I don’t have the same moral perspectives and attitudes to his character as others do. I don’t wish to debate with people who think because I like a certain character I fail at logic, the ability to look at a character objectively and worst of all fail at being a good person.
