I also took a lot of screenshots of him during his speech moments. I need to reinstall the free cam and get some action shots.

This character is bffs with him but I forced myself to try another romance.

My characters always end up BFFs with him If they're not romancing him. It's hard enough for them to not flirt his face off, they show restraint by just buddying up to him. Every jail scene goes something like "BUT YOU WERE SO BRAVE". Every time. It can't be helped.

@verti: Well, there's a line about getting a house and using the Anchor to cook eggs (heh), but no mention of kids as far as I can recall.

No lines about kids at all, even in the bugged dialogues (both romanced and non-romanced). He simply says he wasn't suited to that kind of life, he didn't deserve it and to the romanced inquisitor, he had never met anyone he wanted to stay with. At best, he mentions getting a house/dog or just carrying on as they are, doesn't matter to him.

But if he didn't, then so far I've got: Morrigan, Alistair (granted it's in the sense that it's, y'know, impossible + needing an heir and all that), Zevran (female Warden banter with Shale), male Hawke and Merrill, female Hawke and Anders (? I don't actually know, but somebody said he says something at the Gallows...).

I wasn't sure if anybody in DAI had said something to that effect.

I can confirm, Anders does say something regarding children to a fem!Hawke: "We will fight for a world where our children can be born mages, and free. Ten years, a hundred years from now, someone like me will love someone like you and there will be no templars to tear them apart."

Hey, a question; has anyone asked Sheryl Chee if they will be fixing the bug where you don't get part of Blackwall's conversation?

 

Some of the criticisms where people say that he didn't say anything about what happened make me sad because the dialogue is there, just broken.

I'm loving all the screenshots, you guys! I'm living vicariously through you now that my PC has broken down (hopefully it's just 1 memory bank; but I have to wait and see what the pc-doctor says).

 

It'll be nice to have a fresh install of the game though, once patch 5 arrives

What amazing pictures everyone. The man is just gorgeous, isn't he?     Uh, don't mind me. I worked on amusic video almost whole yesterday, so I guess I'm still a bit high on Blackwall right now.

 

When it comes to kids... He is now free and has somebody who loves him, so I don't think he would actually mind having a kid at some point. His life is completely different now. Well, at least they have kids in my personal canon.

 

What part of the Blackwall's conversation is missing? I don't think I've encountered that specific bug.

I don't think anyone asked her directly. When veeia brought it to her attention on twitter, Chee spent part of the day digging up why it wasn't triggering and then dropped a line here when she figured it out. This was right before the last patch was scheduled to come out so it was too late for it to be included. I've seen other writers in the past get irritated when a bug is messing up content they created for their consumers and personally say they've submitted a ticket in-house. I just assumed Chee did the same since she knew exactly what the problem was and how to fix it. We haven't had a patch yet since then so no one really knows if it's slated to be fixed. People have also mentioned the bug in feedback as a back-up so we'll see.
