I saw those on twitter yesterday. They are fantastic!
I have a technical issue with my DAI graphics that I assume has to do with my vid card or driver or something. If any of you are a bit savvy with that would you mind pm'ing me? As much as I've searched I can't find anything. Maybe I'm doing that wrong too ![]()
P.S. Thank you for answering, Ieldra! And I always do Adamant first, Gilsa. It "feels" like how it's supposed to flow if that makes sense. I will probably try to get the Alistair talking to Morrigan thing one day but it hasn't happened yet. In that case I think I have to do the ball first.

I loved that chat with Blackwall. Even though I got it on my character that was actually pursuing Dorian. It made it better somehow, like, that's sweet of you to think that and try to help, Blackwall, but I'm actually into men. Dorian, specifically. I can imagine the flustered laugh Blackwall would give. In his defense, I had flirted a bit with Cass, but my guy was just a flirt ![]()
Also, I love your new elf!

Thank you! I wish I could romance him, haha XD
I love the male elf/human woman pairing (Mahariel/Morrigan was my favorite romance in DA: O), so I'm looking forward to seeing Cassandra's romance for the first time with him
. I just thought it was perfect that Blackwall picked up on my Adwen Lavellan eyeing Cassandra. And my Lavellan, being a bit nervous on how to approach this human woman, asked for some advice. It was a great bonding moment- I'm totally going to headcanon a bromance between them ![]()

Heh, I'm playing a male Inquisitor (Lavellan) for the first time, and he just had a man-to-man chat with Blackwall about pursuing Cassandra
.

OOOh he's lovely.
Yeah I got the same thing with Blackwall and my male Lavellan. Oh Blackwall, you have no idea sweets!

That's the only problem I have when creating a male PC -- I totally want to romance them myself! As it is, I live vicariously through the romance with my IQ & Dorian. Since I want to romance both, but can't with either, I make do with going crazy over their story.
Blackwall is different, since no matter how much I RP, my girl characters are always feel a little bit more like me.

Your Lavellan is very handsome! What did Blackwall have to say about Cass?
Sidenote: I looooove Morrigan x Mahariel.

This is what Blackwall had to say about Cass:
Blackwall: You're eyeing the lady Seeker, aren't you? I can see why. She's definitely...striking. A little stern, though.
Lavellan: You're experienced, I assume? Got any tips?
Blackwall: If I say the wrong thing, she'll probably have my head. Cassandra is a warrior. That's all she's ever known, but that's not all there is to life. Show her that.
Everything about Morrigan/Mahariel was beautiful
, and I love how his story went full circle in the end with the Eluvian. The romance actually made me cry happy tears in the end, haha.

I love cartaboss' tumblr. Thanks for linking that. I missed it somehow. (It helps that our Cadashes have the same hairstyle so I can live vicariously through her commissions. =p)
I did a small experiment with Blackwall with a cutscene that you get via Josephine's personal quest. If you opt to raise the Du Par-how-ever-you-spell-it to nobility, then there's a party to attend to convince someone to pull strings. Anyway, at the start of this, the Inquisitor gives a hand signal to her party to wait outside the gates and the person in the front returns the gesture and marches off to the side. I got this with Iron Bull and Sera. Kept trying to get Blackwall to be in this position. FINALLY, I just brought him and only him.
This man is stubborn.

Oh, man, I didn't even make the connection. All I saw was this sad, sad posture and laughed my butt off at the comedy. Didn't even think of the cutscene connection!

I FIGURED IT OUT!!
I was lying there in bed waiting to doze off and a thought occurred to me that I always picked Sera last. Didn't I always pick Iron Bull last, too, because his tarot card was allllll the way over on the far right of the selection screen? Could that be the answer?
IT WAS.

Pick Blackwall last in the party selection and ye shall receive.
(The first person selected gets the hunched over spot. The second person remains in the background.)

Today's raining, sigh, so I have time to waste with my useless lucubrations ![]()
I have spent the last few months wondering why the abysmal difference in the reaction to Blackwall's misdeeds compared to other companions, especially Solas.
I have come to many conclusions and read a lot of interesting things written by other people, but no one ever talked about the mirroring of facial expressions that instincltively influence emotions, and the consequent emotion-specific influences on judgement.
Blackwall is not the mind behind the homicide nor the perpetrator, he's just a pawn, a puppet manipulated by a powerful bastard, though he passes as the monster.
I found some articles speaking of extenuating circumstances and the benefit of doubt in real world trials and Blackwall should fall within both cases. We know very little of what happened in the Callier affair, and how, though people's reaction to it is often absolute. Are Blackwall's facial expressions influencing the players judgement? Something like this:

Another thing I found while searching: Blackwall is evidently remorseful: his body language, his eyes, everything speaks of a huge remorse. I found this aticle on the web https://www.utexas.e...Remorsenov5.pdf
So, why isn't his remorse enough to inspire empathy and forgiveness?
On the other hand someone who is likely responsible of the separation of humanity from the heavens and the nearly destruction of the whole world, someone whose name means 'pride' gets this:
(sorry Emma)
Smooth talkers always win, also in politics... clears throat....
I found a vast literature on the web speaking about mirror emotions and the influence of facial expressions and body language on people's reactions to the same facts, and about how people react differently to the same action depending on the emotions aroused by the facial expressions and body language of the person who did it. In other words, emotions alone without emotional maturity and a lack of empathy lead to this http://greatergood.b...eltner.2000.pdf
I'm trying to dust off some memories from my philosophy studies at High school but I've never studied this matter properly. Does someone have a better knowledge of this matter?
Sorry but my brain is a bit hyperactive @_@
