I had to dig through all my tumblr hearts to find this post because it's relevant to your questions. Here are the codex entries on all versions of Alistair in DAI, including the drunk Alistair. My guess is that they're bugged and another one of the many things that are not showing up properly in the game.

Thank you so much!! Well, that solves some mysteries, but brings up new questions - did he just roll with Clarel's shenanigans or did he use his head, is he even still alive and so on. Better than nothing, but it's sad to see that it didn't make it into the game, for whatever reason.

 

PS: I'll stop sticking random Blackwall screens to my posts when I die (or when the mods/other thread residents tell me to stop)

sorcererpavus on tumblr: maybe I’m alone in this, but i really wish you could have like reeeally close friends in Dragon Age and it actually made a difference. So for example, if you romance Blackwall and you get really close to Cassandra, when he leaves, you can go to her and like give her a hug or like talk about how you feel. Maybe this is just cuz im a sensitive type, but i feel like this would make people more attached to the characters and it’d add more depth and more of a want to gain the favor of your companions. idk.

One of the things I hated the most after Revelations is that nobody had a f****ing thing to say about it. I was just back from Orlais, Blackwall was still in jail, I wanted to cry on Dorian’s shoulder, get some scolding from Cassandra, have a friendly chat about broken hearts with Varric, but everyone acted as if nothing had just happened. It all felt so unreal

The one person that I thought would have something to say was Leliana since she was my spymaster and wrote up that report. The dialogue options with Cullen back in Val Royeaux could indicate that the Inquisitor would be angry with Leliana for not discovering the deception sooner. I went to Leliana, curious if she'd have anything to say and to the best of my recollection, she did not. Slightly weird.

Same! I thought for sure Leliana would have something to say.  She tells you in Haven "even if he was....not what I expected."  Then she is the one with the report letting you know about Val Royeaux.  She obviously knows more than she lets on.  But you don't get a chance to talk to her about it

The TV Tropes page points out an important detail: all her information is relayed through couriers and messenger birds. With the distances they need to cover, any information she gets is days, weeks or even months old. She could just have filed it under 'low priority'. I get the impression she didn't talk to Blackwall much. Or he didn't talk to her. He be scared of her.

Edit: I understand Josephine's concern with rank though. She is in charge of the family and the estate has been broken up and sold in parts and she is trying to keep her family in good standing and protect it from her siblings' foolishness. The last thing she would do is cause a scandal by having an affair with a Warden/criminal.
