So, there is a new blackwall mod out on Nexus - together with a second one you can get a blackwall without beard (but with stubble).
You need these two mods: "Rainier'd Blackwall" and "Blackwall no beard".
Nothing against his beard but he looks good without:

He's okay without the beard, but I prefer him with it. 
I also agree with sifr about his story. I would have preferred more conversations with him after his revelation about his past and his future plans depending on your choices made at the judgment.
I keep meaning to go back and finish my Kaia/Blackwall pt but I just haven't gotten the urge. I think I'm waiting for more story dlc. I really, really miss story dlc.

At this point, I'm just glad that there is now some armor that shows off some of his assets - tee-hee.

Not to mention day & night cycles were on budget too.
Even if the day/night cycle was too expensive and complicated to implement, I'd have enjoyed being able to alternate between the two like in DA2. Haven and (especially) Skyhold look really great at night, it's a shame that we have so little time to enjoy seeing them outside of chaotic attacks and a few brief cutscenes, I prefer them to the daytime versions if I'm being honest.
I'd have loved a toggle on the Skyhold customisation table to switch it over to night... it'd look great and give us some Origins campsite nostalgia.
I'm just gonna jump in and say Blackwall without a beard really freaks me out. Please no.
