This is one of the few Tom pics that I can say I like. I don't know why I don't the Tom look. I think it has something to with how his neck is animated with the beard and can become distorted when the beard is taken away. Or, it could be that Tom's face is to hollow making him look shallow to me. It is like picking a lion or a bear. Tom, the shallow well groomed golden lion of Orlais. And then Blackwall, the rugged brooding Ferelden black bear. (Also, a lionbear would be an awesome beast to find in DA4.
)
Which is funny, because I just finished leveling my bounty hunter today (in SW:TOR) and started leveling my Imp agent (who went sniper, FYI) - lol.
Agent is one of the best stories. Though I still have a soft spot for Sith Warrior. Really loved it. I think you will enjoy agent ![]()
I prefer the bearded Blackwall, but that screen shot/picture that Bugsy posted, I'm super liking it. Maybe it's the profile ![]()
The other night I did load up DA:I and try to play. Apparently last time I played I was playing a Cullen romancing warrior. I. Hate. Warrior. UGH. I may have to delete her.

Haa I love these descriptions!

Thanks, I try. I've been in this thread long enough to know that Blackwall will always be our teddy bear.
A question. When romancing Blackwall and you get the first proper kiss in your room. Do you think they slept together after or is the barn scene when they first sleep together? Seems odd he pretty much passionately makes out with her in her room and then nothing....

Why is that odd? A lot of people passionately make out yet don't proceed to sex.
When I romanced Rainier, I think their first time was in the barn.

They leave it open to interpretation. Since you can get Cabot's "A few people are complaining that you have time to bed your allies" comment after the kiss in the bedroom, you can certainly interpret it to mean that they have sex if that's the way you want it to play out, but there's sometimes a huge difference between what people perceive and what is really happening, so you could have it end with a kiss, too, if you'd rather.
I definitely think it's open to interpretation. If a kiss and some cuddling is a person's comfort zone after a passionate embrace, then that's how they're free to play it. Your game, your headcanon and what you feel appropriate for the situation.A question. When romancing Blackwall and you get the first proper kiss in your room. The reason I thought it would have led to them sleeping together was due to the way they were kissing. He was pushing her back, being almost forceful, really very passionate. And hell the bed is just over there.

I've always thought that it seemed highly likely that things ended up that way, personally - hehe.
So who here is going to take Blackwall with them in the new DLC? I gave him to the Wardens so with all the Darkspawn it just feels appropriate.
I will def be taking him, but on my first pt character who already finished all the game. I do have a girl that is romancing him and hasn't found out his secret yet though ....maybe I'll do it with her first. *grin*

What if he gets the blight and has to tell the truth as he is dieing in our Quiz's arms? It would be both heartbreaking and romantic at the same, and at the end you get to vent your feeling of (I want to stab that lying bastard) by actually doing it. It is like the emotional cycle of the Blackwall romance in a 2 to 5 hour DLC.
I'm taking Blackwall before the reveal with me and hoping for some hilarity.
"Blackwall, you're the Grey Warden here, tell us how to navigate the Deep Roads and fight Darkspawn."
Or for those post-Revelations, I'm hoping for some fun little callbacks;
Inquisitor: I seem to recall someone once saying, "I would've fought through the darkest pits of the Deep Roads, like any true Warden..."
Blackwall: And I stand by that.
Inquisitor: But...?
Blackwall: Maker's balls, I didn't think - or at least, didn't hope - that you'd actually make me prove it!

I'll be taking him for sure, but post-Revelations though. I'm a bit starved for Thom Rainer content and if a few of his lines change based on that, awesome. Social media is full of people joking about asking him to sense darkspawn in the DLC so I figured I could just find out that way what his pre-Revelations lines are.
Yeah I'll take him post revelations.
What I really hope is if you gave him to the Wardens and you start the DLC post-game, Blackwall has done the Joining Ritual and becomes a real Grey Warden, so he can acutally hear Darkspawn and use that to help you get the drop on them or something (or Darkspawn get the drop on you since they can hear him too).
And if you start the DLC before Revelations he starts bullshitting about locating Darkspawn and maybe accidentally leads you into traps.
I'd love to hear how vocal Blackwall was if you took him with you on the Descent DLC. I originally didn't know Blackwall had commentary for Tomb of Fairel because Varric overrode him. Varric was the most vocal in the party for the Descent DLC, leaving Blackwall with a few lines for the Grey Warden/darkspawn stuff. I am wondering if Blackwall has more to say without Varric around or if that's par for course.

I played one time without Varric, and Rainier still just said what you pointing him out as saying, plus the times where all three companions voice their input.
