@Solistace: I had a female inquisitor romancing Cullen and I believe that Vivienne was the one who brought up him "hiding behind poles" to catch glimpses at Josephine.  I don't remember for sure who else was in the party, but it might have been Sera and Dorian?

 

I love all the pictures and beard goodies!  I always say I prefer him with a beard, but I looked at that one link for the diff appearances for Blackwall and I kinda liked the one where he had stubble and a crew cut (I think, I couldn't see the if the top had longer hair or not in the picture).  I might have to try it if I ever get brave enough to try modding my game.

Thanks for sharing that video -- very sweet to watch. And I don't know if it's a new thing, to be honest. I see him paired up everyone, but maybe there's such a high ratio of elves going after Solas and Cullen that it seems odd to run into an elf going for Blackwall?

Just caught Alastair Parker on the latest episode of Doctor Who...playing a beardy warrior, no less!

Was a minor part - I didn't even know it was him until I saw the credits, despite the voice being familiar - but it made my night

Was a minor part - I didn't even know it was him until I saw the credits, despite the voice being familiar - but it made my night

 

I'm embarrassed to say that I only just noticed it was him on my third watch of the episode, because of the extremely Blackwall-esque way he responded to another character's question of why they weren't trusted with real swords.

 

What's more fun is that since most of the Viking's are only ever referred to by the Doctor's nicknames for them, that means we get to watch Alastair Parker once again playing a gruff, bearded warrior with a fake name. Although Blackwall is definitely a better pseudonym than "Limpy".

That might work better if you'd actually spelled "past" correctly, but then, your little rhyming scheme wouldn't quite work. It sure is nice that you can spell sophistry correctly in your signature, though. *sarcasm*

If you want to post something antagonistic about a character in a fan thread devoted to that character - with what appears to be a clear intent to troll - then those of us who don't like the attempted trolling are equally entitled to directly respond in the same thread. Gee, I'm just so very, very sorry that you didn't get the angry rant you wanted and instead ended up being publicly shot down over your word usage by someone whose job involves having to edit tons of bad writing by bad authors on a daily basis (that would be me). *sarcasm*

 

At any rate, maybe you've heard this phrase before: "If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen." Toodles! Or you can stay and then we can all start debating, IF you actually have something substantive to say about the character (beyond whipping up bad poems and/or tavern songs).

Yeah, I love Akane. She's nice, but she's also level-headed and intelligent, and she's ultimately very good at her job. I think she shows a lot of growth through Season 1!

Agreed! I won't lie at first I didn't like her but she grew on me as season one went on. She's now my official spirit animal.

@kai: Yeah, I kind of meant to try the Cullen thing out at first because my mage Warden like him way back in DA:O form. Only I ran into Blackwall and flirted and then couldn't stop flirting with him; he gets so flustered after that one comment about your private quarters back in Haven that resistance was basically futile at that point for me - lol.

 

EDIT: I thought Gino was stuffy at first, but I really liked him by the end of S1 (if you've watched the whole thing, that scene with Gino and Masaoka...augh!).
