No, only Cullen and Sera have the option to be married. Some of the others you can discuss it, and others you don't even get that. It sucks.  <_< :crying:

No wedding in Trespasser with Blackwall, but a very good reunion scene.

Just skip the Hinterlands. It kills your love of games unless you're a completionist who just accepts teh grind is made up for by the rest of the game.

Ayy, I wasn't expecting a wedding since I guess I'd hear about it being an option, but I'm glad there's at least a nice scene with Blackwall.  As for the Hinterlands issue, I suffer from severe must-clear-all-areas-completely-ism, but I think as long as I approach it in doses rather than all at once I'll be good.

I have another question, when do you guys think is a good time to do the dlcs, apart from trespasser obviously? As in, both level and plot wise? Any recommendations who to take apart from Blackwall for the best dialog? Does it even matter, are there any relevant new lines for him that come with the dlc? Heh, sorry about all these, I feel so out of the loop after all this time...

JoH after Cory's death. Descent at level 20; which for me, was before Cory's death.

Cassandra is a must have for JoH finale stuff. I also liked Cole, Sera, and Varric apparently mentioned Anders on a specific side quest of the area. I know all of those are rogues, but most of the dialogue is in Stone Bear Hold, so you could switch characters prior to NPC discussions.

For JoH; I was a rogue and my party was Dorian, Sera, Cass for the important stuff.

For Descent; I was a rogue and my party was Dorian, Iron Bull, Varric for all of it. Just remember that the final boss fight requires Lightning, I would have been ticked if I'd hadn't had someone along with the right magic and had to walk all the way back.

I can't answer anyone's questions because I'm useless and my Blackwall trivia is not up to par.

I romanced Blackwall with my Qunarisitor who had Sumalee's voice. I always do Sumalee for Qunari/Dwarf, and Alix for Human/Elf. Just seems to work that way for me.

Honhonhon, Blackwall as the smol to Adaar's tol~ <3

My Qunquisitor has Alix's voice, but that's just because it seems to fit her personality. Lorewise I think Bioware's intention was to go along the lines of what you said... though there are a lot of elves in this series who have American accents, so I take it all with a grain of salt.

I LOVE his reunion scene! That scene... well, all of his scenes really, after his secret's out are just very chill. He's just a down-to-earth, normal, flawed man who is trying his best to be a better person. And getting punched in the face a lot and whittling griffons in the process.

So I've started the Blackwall romance, I think - the first flirt of Skyhold is the key, right? - and boy, the Inquisitor is... pretty forward, if not presumptuous... I mean I guess it's just Bioware's cheesy writing but we've flirted once by the blacksmith in Haven and suddenly 'she knows he has feelings for her'? How? From what?

I'm not terribly bothered by it or anything but I just thought it was a slightly weird thing to say, unless I've missed something. I kinda hope the rest of the romance is somewhat better paced. Sides, after that scene I've felt quite awkward picking another flirt option in the barn. Did it anyway cause I never know how many hearts are required to keep the sidequest going, but all the while I was like 'if you really must, Inquisitor, though if I were you I'd take the hint and leave the man alone'.  <_<

OMG YES. I thought it was SO ADORABLE how there's this tall Qunari next to this shorter human guy (short to a Qunari, to humans he's on the average size) and it doesn't intimidate him at all. He's just going "You are a gorgeous, feminine goddess and the greatest thing to ever happen to me", and everyone else is like "Damn. Inquisitor is tall." It did bother me how they scaled my Qunisitor down to be shorter than him in some of the scenes, but I recognize that it might not have been possible for them to fix that aspect of the game.

I RP my Qunisitor who romanced him as being used to humans either being intimidated/scared by her, or who just want to be with her for the novelty of it. So when she meets this bear-man out in the woods who looks at her like she's the most beautiful thing he's ever seen, she's just weirded out by it initially until she realizes "Oh, wait, he actually does think I'm wonderful and amazing! This is my snuggle-buddy. I claim him. He is mine, and we shall snuggle." Because I think he'd be a great snuggler.

Just finished up my second Wallmance game (well, main game, haven't got to Trespasser yet). I foresee much snuggling in Andreia's near future.   If I ever get my screenshots organized, I'll try to post some here.

In the meantime, here's a close-up from Explanations:

I agree with everything you said, but my understanding is that Blackwall had been pretty promiscuous and sex minded in the past. I believe it shows in his banter with Iron Bull? Not on the vein of sex, but towards his character profile, I just romanced him in my last PT, and he admits that the very thing the real Blackwall noticed him for was selfish. He told some guys to stop harassing the bar wench...but because it was interfering with him getting his drink on in a timely fashion, not because he actually gave a crap. And this is AFTER he's killed kids, run away etc. But then a week later, he's born again Blackwall. That was a lot of maturing inside a very short period.

I don't think it happened necessarily overnight, but probably was a gradual character change over several years.

I always saw Rainier's motivations for assuming Blackwall's identity as being self-serving at first, using it as a shield and mask to hide behind and "trading his death" as he tells the Inquisitor. That's not to say that he did not feel guilt when Blackwall died, as it added another name to the long list of innocent people who had died in his place and reminded him of all the men he betrayed.

His claim that he adopted the persona to "honour the Warden's memory" was something I think he told himself at first, as a way to justify what he was doing in his own mind. But after several years of living as Blackwall and attempting to emulate the Warden's heroism, it stopped being an excuse and he genuinely wanted to continue the Warden's legacy of doing good.

The Inquisitor seems to think the same, that regardless of what his intentions where when it started, eventually he "stopped pretending".

The correct date is 9:35, as confirmed by Sheryl Chee.

I always use Alix for my Inquisitors, even for my Qunari girl. I wasn't really impressed by Sumalee's voice acting, from what I've heard of it  :?  And Alix just fits my Inquisitors better, and compliments Blackwall's voice nicely, imo.

I also haven't been back to DAI in a while. I just don't like it all that much, but Blackwall is still one of my favourite DA characters and, imo, the best thing that came out of this game.

And I actually don't mind that Blackwall's romance didn't get the wedding option, but that's just me. I was kind of bitter about it when Trespasser first came out, but then I watched Cullen's wedding scene and it turned out to be this spur-of-the-moment secret elopement, which is not exactly what I imagined for them. I can just headcanon that they got married later.

True. I'm a completionist (not entirely, but mostly) who just accepts the grind.

Also, sticking to how it seems the game design was *intended* to be, isn't so bad. Something like:

-Arrive and do some stuff around Crossroads, at least enough to 'secure' it

-Go to Val Royeaux

-Go back to Hinterlands and do Crossroad's/Redcliffe's surrounding areas (especially the Mage/Templar camp quests), maybe do Storm Coast's main part or Fallow Mire

-Do Mage/Templar quest in whatever sense (visit Redcliffe or not)

-Perhaps go back to Hinterlands and do the further off areas (horses, lodge, dwarf cave?), maybe do Storm Coast's main part or Fallow Mire or initial Forgotten Oasis

-Haven gets attacked

-post-Haven, when you feel comfortable, finish off Hinterlands at any point, deal with the dragon at any point

(And throughout this, do at least a few Haven visits)

Some zones are mostly good for just one 'trip' (like Fallow Mire), others are mostly good for two or three (like Storm Coast), but Hinterland seems designed for 4+ trips* and that seems overwhelming for a Dragon Age game I suppose.

(*Crossroads, surrounding crossroads, areas aside, dragon area)
