otherwise it would be a restaurant with a bar, not a pub or bar

Down here, there's lots of sports bars and "bar n grills" type of places. There are just bars too, but the others are just as popular.

"bars" comes first though, you dont call it chips and fish, cause the chips aint the main focus, its the fish... same concept

Actually I rarely drink. I got to bars because they often have televisions and other things to do, and I just find it an innately more casual experience than a restaurant.
Often to catch a hockey or basketball game.
In any case, this is veering off topic.

Will we get a chance to recreate the scene from that one concept art? Pretty please with a cherry on top?

You mean the drinking fanart, where Sera's telling a dirty joke and the Warden's laughing like he's just heard the funniest thing in the world? I second that. It could be a very nice, lighthearted scene in a game where I think there's going to be a lot of drama.

A bit of an off-the-rails tangent, I know, but I never really cared for those illustrations, personally. Something about the art style really bugged me. I think it was the over-exaggerated emotions on the faces, especially with that tavern scene...it just made the characters look goofy to me.

That was actually the picture that sold me on the GW. I love a man with a good sense of humor who also knows how to keep it together when shtf.

Wasn't that concept art? Doesn't that make it far more likely to actually be in the game?

Yes, it was concept art by Matt Rhodes
But it's been stated that just because something is in concept art doesn't mean it takes place in the game. Concept art is just to give the player/viewer the "feel" of the characters and game.

In terms of characters, not necessarily. Well, in terms of a lot of things. Concept art can come early, based on the nature that it doesn't require the toolset to be properly working! So scenes and whatnot are concepted. But there's a whoollllle lot of time that goes into a game and it's possible that, for a multitude of reasons, there simply won't be a scene like that in the game.
It'd be better to look more at "what does this scene say about the characters" than to take the scene entirely at face value. (and even then, the characters could still evolve somewhat. Maybe beardy guy is a bit more reserved? Perhaps Cassandra has a hidden, crude side that blows people's mind. Or maybe not!

I may not romance Bara (straight male here) but I gotta say I absolutely love the idea for the companion. I kind of see him as a more serious (by serious I mean not cracking jokes all the time) version of David Tennant's Doctor (Who). Old, mature, with a positive attitude, a sense of humor but oh wow can he get scary.
Or maybe I've just been watching too much DW lately
Anyway I hope bioware is still working on him, would like the gray hair back but as a sword geek, on that image of him standing in the table on the trailer. I swear I went nuts thinking about the handle of the sword (jokes coming in 3, 2, 1...) until I realized it was clipping through the chestpiese of the armor.
Also thanks to Aimo's art (wonderfull as always

Also thanks to Aimo's art (wonderfull as always) I cannot get the Sean Connery voice from him and I swear I wanted for him to sound more like Ned Stark (I'm bad at actor names, I had to "google indiana jones father" T_T)
....What if,
....His voice actor was Brian Blessed?

From far away, that top one looks like something ENTIRELY different. It is done, warts and all! Possible tweaking in the future to make it more polished, but for now no more >_<
Frankly it features the Inquisitor and all 9 companions, but as you can see I let my biases show ^3^
Okay, off to lunch!
