Yeah, a little disappointed that he doesn't have the grey streaks anymore, but I'm willing to hold off judgment until we get a better look at him.
Im hoping that its just some pre alpha or some beta screens and the streaks will be added later, though im not holding my breath.

Mike Jones!Who?
It could have something to do with people wanting signs of aging throughout the game.Im hoping that its just some pre alpha or some beta screens and the streaks will be added later, though im not holding my breath.

They were present in the concept/s. In the GI combat videos i don't think there were present already. I don't know if they'll add it later, but I doubt it.

I want to say Blackwall is his nickname, but if it was, it'd be more fitting if it was 'Darkwall'

I think it's a name he's taken for himself. He looks tainted so he's not far off the long walk. I really hope there is a sort of Bruce Banner/Hulk conflict in his character as he struggles to hold back the taint till he can finish one last mission to protect the world.

Well it's less glamorous with wardens , they don't go berseck. They turn into Gollums.

Ah, yes, the Barawall. Wardens' last line of defence against the darkspawn.

Blackwall, why does this make me think of Game of Thrones? If he is the wall does that make Darkspawn Whitewalker.

After seeing some people say that they want him to have a Scottish accent, I can no longer imagine him any other way. Bioware, give Blackwall the accent he deserves....and/or whatever one you wanna give him, he is yours.

Oh wow!! Why do I get this feeling he'll be like...a tank wall for my party?
Missing the grey, but like the name! Hope he has a Yorkshire or border ridings accent.
He'll likely be a staple on my non-warrior characters.

Did we already know Blackwall prefered 2handers? Or was there thought he might be another sword and board warrior?

We can make him either or but in early concept art and gameplay footage he had sword and shield

He's shown in the armor concept pieces with a sword and board and in the gallows concept art there appears to be a 2handed Grey Warden sword in the background.

Probably a bit late to the party on this, but is it me or did Blackwall steal Rebellion?

It's a place holder if you look at Sera and Iron Bull they both have DLC weapons from DA2 as well.

I'm hoping he has a real name. Blackwall is a station I used to get to my university in London through, I fear I won't be able to take that name serious ![]()

I believe the quote strengthen the possibility that his reasons for joining the Inquisition was due to inaction from the Wardens in regards to helping others; perhaps they intended to simply stand and watched while Thedas was destroyed by Civil Wars and demonic invasions simply because no Darkspawn were involved.
Or perhaps it denotes a change from protectors to just another faction seeking political power caused by the First Warden's bid for the throne of the Anderfels.
