You can really see it here.
This close up has alleviated my concern a bit. It does look more like blood splatter now. Just not as dark as the blood on his armor. And the whites of his eyes don't look as yellow as I thought they did.
I was worried they decided to add a last minute visible indicator of his corruption ( like the veins on Wesley's face in DA2 ).
He could still be very close to his calling, but I still hope he can at least make it to the end of the game.

So the fact that he was the Warden Constable during the Blight, does that mean that he was second in command to the Orlesian Warden-Commander (from DA: A)? And would that mean that he might be the Warden Commander in DA: I?

I keep wanting to pronounce his name as "Blackwell" instead of "Blackwall" and it's stating to bug me a little. Still, he looks very promising, and I'm glad he's going to be a senior Warden.
His eyes do look very close to the Calling. If I know Bioware and their love of sad romances, this just increases his chances.

Nice catch on Warden-Constable Blackwall. Now I'm confused. Is he Orlesian? Hmm, the way he talks of Ferelden and Orlais may be he is neither.
About the eyes. Remember those DAO trailers with Cousland Warden, where he had glowing eyes?
Were they not planned for all Grey Wardens, but it was not implemented because engine's limitations. What if wicked eyes are now Warden's feature?
