Ostagar makes no damn sense from your point of view- the Grey Wardens were the first line of defense. There was no Arch Demon in the field.

in the dragon age site there are 2 full character profiles recently released - Sera and Iron bull.

Mayhaps Blackwall gets his turn this week too

at least gamermd83 will almost assuredly ask about Blackwall or Ser Beefcake as she affectionally calls him, so i'm pretty sure we'll at least get something.

Guys...pretty every other companion thread has more life. Come on, Blackwall needs more love!! Hope we will know more about him soon, as BW has released some interesting information on Sera and Iron Bull - and they are all from "Meet the Companions" project. So Blackwall is next. Hopefully.

I think people are just hyping up for possible LIs, so he's just getting ignored because of it. Since we don't have a lot of story to discuss yet, most people are focused on the outside appearance, and Blackwall is too old for a lot of people, well, at least for me, probably since I get getting hit on by old dudes and it can be a bit creepy. I can see him as a mentor type character.

But I do have to say that I miss the grey hair, I really liked it! It doesn't look like he has any in the latest screenshots and demos. Maybe they decided it made him too old. Still have my fingers crossed that he's a love interest and feel slightly hopeful now that there are possibly more romances than most of us thought initially.

I see Iron Bull to be more likely since they stated that he likes to sleep around with anyone, so with a description like that. He has a higher chance of making it over Blackwall.

I've pretty much given up on Blackwall being a LI now. I think Iron Bull = bi romance and Dorian = gay romance and Cullen = straight romance. It seems to me that all the romance slots are filled up. On the one hand, I really like all those characters, especially Iron Bull and Dorian, but on the other hand I'm still a bit sad to be giving up on Blackwall, Varric, and Solas.

 

I might be wrong, but that's the way I see things going down now.

 

Still, I hope my Quizzy's can be good friends with him. He seems like a cool dude. Maybe he'll be kinda like Anderson from ME and act as a father figure towards Quizzy's he gets close to. That path could be equally rewarding in a different way.

Assuming there's exactly six romances, with a perfectly even distribution between male/female and straight/gay/bi. That's still guess work at this point.

With that in mind it seems likely that Cassandra will either be a templar or a champion, with Blackwall picking up the other. 

 

While Cassandra could work as either, I think it's most likely that she'll be a templar, because Blackwall makes the most sense as a champion.

True, but it's a likely guess. They've said they'll have more romances than any other DA game, which means there have to be at least 6 because DA2 had 5. They said everyone would have options, which means that we will have a gay option and a straight option for each gender, at least. I've hypothesized that the split could be more like 2/3/1, or 3/2/1, but then you'd have a lot of fans saying, "Why do these guys get so many more options than I do?" They could have more than 6, but the resources to make more than 6 in-depth romances would be considerable and they said they're not devoting much more time to romances than usual. So, I'm thinking 2/2/2.

As a point, what they said was more romances than any other Bioware game. 

 

If they stick to that, six would be the minimum, as that's what they had in Mass Effect 2(with ME3 being more complicated due to the way some romances were handled).

Well, are we sure they'll use the Inquisitor's specs, or will they have tailored specs like in DAII? So, yeah, Cassandra might have Templar like abilities, but be independent from that tree.
