normally we see the idealistic rookies that become more and more pragmatic as time goes on.
For a person to stick to his beliefs and ideals in the warden order and become a veteran, now THAT is interesting

 
Yes, and like the interview seemed to imply, what lead to him having these beliefs?  Where did he come from and what was he doing before the Wardens?

I have a feeling Blackwall's personality would be clashing with Vivienne who is all ambition, pragmatism and manipulation, a lot. Not sure if it has a great potential for banter, or Vivienne will be introduced to the bench to keep Cole company most of the time.

True, but then again Larius threatened to murder an pregnant woman if Malcolm didn't do what he wanted. That was pretty repulsive. I find it an odd situation because an moraly good guy like Blackwall in the wardens feels like Jacob on cerberus, for example.

I don't know why I'm surprised...

Welp, at least it's better than Fenders, I can't see either member of this pairing trying to sell the other into slavery. 

 

I'm actually rather pleasantly surprised by all the NSFW and shippy fanart Blackwall and Iron Bull seem to be getting. It's a nice indication that characters like these guys actually do have the potential to be relatively popular LIs.

I don't speak for others, but personally I am surprised at the accelerated pace of how invested I am now in the possibility of Blackwall as LI *looks at her tumblr and deviantart, hangs head in shame*, even more since the character profile was released (noble-hearted warrior bears are my weakness). Once it clicks, I can't back out of aiming to #ScaleTheWall, so hopefully it'll be a reality in the actual game.
