I live in Alabama and was raised in a church- I went to four different VBSes each summer. I know what I said and stand by the observation. The emotional chords are all there, but the wording is a little. . . specific, sometimes.
Glad to know we were part of the same free summer camp program. I sometimes think they rushed the music, and never bothered to proofread the lyrics.
Haha, free, and reasonable assumption of safety. As I got older and we did youth retreats, I had to read the phrase "that gets my engine all revved up with nowhere to go" to my crush, in a skit about inappropriate touching. (It was holding hands.)

I quit attending locally over some. . . theological differences between myself and the Southern Bapist Convention, but VBS and Youth Group are some of my fondest memories. Other than hand holding "easy to romance LI" shaming, but whatever, lol.

That being said, though, the concept of a group founded to do noble, if necessary, things sort of having a darkening or stagnation like the Grey Wardens seem to have gone through, yet falling short of both reputation and legend once someone dedicates their life to it is both tragic and redeeming- Blackwall, along with the actions of the PC in DAO, may set precedents that keep the Wardens relevant in ways unattached to the Blights. Or, his involvement could end up hurting the Wardens. Regardless, it seems his arc will have a good amount of heft and humor to it, which is the best part of Bioware, anyway.

I was worried I couldn't live up to the beauty of bossuary's dabble (seriously, she nails the feels-uh ™ in a few paragraphs, I took a week plus plus to finish all 6 pages (page 5 especially was more difficult to figure out).

Oh I'm sure any Blackwall romance will be wonderfully handled by her. Wynn's one of my favorite DA characters of all time, and his personality seems closest to hers. I'll no doubt be in tears by the end of it, though whether they'll be of misery or joy I'm not yet sure (assuming there is a romance of course).
But...no matter what happens in his romance, it will always have a little sock shaped hole in it now 
. Unless there's an actual sock scene I suppose.
