Pretty much everyone who likes Benedict Cumberpatch likes him for his voice, so having him voice a game character would actually be pretty great. But I think he's probably too expensive for Bioware nowadays. If he wasn't, I think he'd make a gorgeous Solas.

He's in just about everything nowadays. But he has done voice work for some indie games in the past, not too long ago either if memory serves.

 

Also, (copying this over from my post in the Iron Bull thread because I like the idea) if there are companion "dates" in DA:I like they had in ME3 (ie shooting bottles off with Garrus, having dinner with Kaiden etc...) what do you think the "date" for Blackwall would be like.

I don't think we know enough about him to be certain, but due to his idealism, I think he'd be a romantic. Maybe a classic dinner date, or dancing incognito at a nearby noble's ball?

I feel like I kind of abandoned ol' blackwall a while back. I hope we hear more of him, or an interview at least.

 

In his bio, as I'm sure you all know, it says:

Blackwall is one of the rare few Wardens who chose, of his own accord, to pick up the shield. He believes so wholeheartedly in the noble ideal of the Grey Wardens that he would rather have this life than any other.

 

I'd like to hear more about his background/what drove him to pick up the Warden shield. It'd be cool to find out that he was related or at least knew some Wardens from Origins/Awakening.

I imagine there would be. He seems Fereden to me, but obviously that's just a guess.

I don't think he's Ferelden honestly. I think he's either a Marcher or from the Anderfels.
