Naleena’s reaction to Morgan reminded him that it was hard to tell a good ruse from an actual reaction. He wasn’t going to be able to avoid her questions forever, but he needed time to assess Androkan, for his own sake let alone The Shadow Broker. Was Deidrus the same as when Morgan had worked with him on Noveria?
Nobody seemed to have wanted to do the dirty work of removing bodies, so Morgan got his mind off difficulties by getting to it. The first corpse he came across was the batarian he shot. Morgan eyed a henchman of Aria’s who looked like he was about the same size.
“Bray…”
Aria’s bodyguard peered over. Disgusted, he snorted, “What? You think I’m playing along?”
“You certainly are!” Aria’s voice cracked like a whip. “And help get rid of the other bodies. We don’t need cadavers in plain sight. You, too, Krath.”
Bray grumbled, Krath scowled, but both assisted, making the task go much faster. Bray went the extra step of changing into the Suns's armor. As Morgan removed the dead, he picked up a few loose credits, and searched for pieces of armor he could swap out with his suit. It wasn’t perfect, but with an adjustment or two, he got himself a helmet, and a few choice replacement plates with the proper logo. It didn’t have to be perfect; this was a merc group after all.
Turian shuttles began arriving as Morgan came across the last Blue Suns body. It was rocket launcher merc he had killed. Morgan sighed, feeling like a scavenger. The rocket merc’s helmet looked in good shape and a possible fit for ‘Silver,’ though he wasn’t sure exactly what her plan of disguise was. Morgan unfastened the helmet and brought it over to the black and yellow clad woman, passing the seven foot white armored giant on the way.
“Ms. Stone…,’ Morgan started as he offered the helmet, ‘It was my idea so I should put myself up with the rest of you. And, if you don’t mind me saying so, while I know you’re getting some heat for your look…Eclipse mercs tend to wear yellow, too.” He smirked slightly, though with his rough face, it didn’t do much to offset his image. “Besides, maybe when it comes to putting up a front, you’re the perfect person for the job.” Morgan lost his smirk as he wasn’t certain how his words would land.
“That’s a compliment in my line of work,” Morgan clarified.
