Johnny, shuttle bay.

"Just a little more." Johnny waved Septerax on, as he and another tech positioned a portion of the M-35's armor. "Stop! Hold it there... Got it."

Johnny dusted off his palms, and hopped down from the Mako.

"You're alright, kid. I like you way better than that last guy." The tech slapped him on the shoulder, before heading off for a break.

Kira

“The elevator is much slower than I had imagined.” Kira commented, as the elevator descended. It felt like it was taking forever.

“The next area is still loading.”

“What?”

“Yeah, it’s so you don’t have to look at a loading screen. Nothing breaks immersion like a loading screen! It’s a feature unique to 2183 model elevators.” Mica smirked, as the elevator stopped at ground level. She entered a six-digit code into the controls, that took them even further down.

“That’s… very interesting.” Kira smiled a little. This girl was obviously insane.

After another five minutes of descent, the doors finally opened, revealing some batcave-level sh*t.

"Think my awkward it is for me luv". Jess told Dahlia. "And I agree Morgan has grounds, not to accept her offer. It won't stop her from needling him.... Not unless he has a reason to appear an unattractive proposition and....." Jess stole a glance to Morgan before turning back to Dahlia. ".....I think we both know that's not going to happen any time soon..... Guess your just that popular with ladies luv what is the matter with you"?

Jess subsided and rubbed the bridge of her nose before wiping the sleep from before out of her eye. "Here's how I see it.... Amy's life was turned around just like mine was. When our brother died...... When... he died.... We both hurt..... I went one way and ended up on the opposite side of the fence as her. She works the system of law and damn her is she's not right about law being inadequate some of the time. It's why I left it behind to find my own justice and see what that got me". She flexed what remained of her shoulder. "Amy's working within the system..... But, I think between our brother and my fate..... Well I always knew it would hurt the way I disappeared but I had my own thing.... And I wanted to protect the family from that".

Jess looked over to where Babe and Amy had gone out of earshot and shook her head. "Can't help but feel I pushed her into being who she is. Sure, she choose her path.... But one brother down to a Spectre and a sister down in a den of non human's? I don't think she's anti alien..... To self aware that we're all alien to someone. But she's on the warpath towards making sure humans get on the seat of power to change things from the top down...... Only she's doing it while working for TerF so really, any power she gains for them will be wielded by the one with the agenda and I wonder if she's confident or kidding herself that the future she want's is the one TerF can provide......".

"Morgan, bottom line. I'll back your decision either way you decide but in the end this is about your safety and the safety of your family. If you want to stay hidden that's fine with me. But I expect one day the cat will come out the bag and then we'll have to re-evalute how to keep you and your family safe from Iyana whose got a ship that can outdistance the Medusa's friepower. If the secret comes out, you might think about how you can spin it so it benefits you and your family in some way. Amy could help with that, but she needs to think there's something on board worth her time here...... And right now, that's you and Babe". She smiled. "Fortunately, we're out in space so we're essentially a floating island so we can control the information going on or off the ship..... Just think about it luv".

Turning to Dahlia, Jess flashed a cheeky grin. "And when I get my new arm luv you watch the one arm jokes because I'll be looking for a person to spank to test it out on. Molly, the detective who worked Morgan's case, she sent me a message saying I ought to open up some. And lately I've been thinking she's right. Remember the Audron? Someone fed information to the Spectre aboard that told him about me and my connection to my family. I've spent my life as Stone erasing those connections but someone found out.... And since people who might be my enemies could have that information..... It's only right that I share that information with my friends. Being in charge of a crew of people..... Well, when I left the Medusa the first time it was to try and shield them from anyone and anything that might be coming after me personally. That wasn't the case, but it's still something I want my senior's to know so they can guard against the possible threat that information could cause to the ship. Having Amy aboard lessen's the number of places I need to keep an eye on. Exactly like Morgan's family......".

A call chirp came then from Jess's comm and she opened the channel. "Yes? What is it"?

"This is Aelias. I thought you ought to know, the girl, Jen? She's not on board".

".......What"?

"She went to visit the Janiri and we ended up leaving without her. She's aboard that ship......".

Jess rubbed her forehead to ease the throbbing tension there. "Find out who was on duty for signing people in and out and then tell them if they haven't loaded themselves in one of the torpedo tubes and shot themselves into a nearby star I'll make them wish they had".

"...... As you wish Captain".

"Wait". Jess added, realising Aelias wasn't reading between the lines. "Just.... find who was on duty and give me a name.... No action till I deem it necessary..... Understood"?

"Of course. I spoke with her at length. She seems fine and she know's Anika is aboard with her. She has a condition I believe you know about"?

"I know.... Anything else"?

"She asked me to pass on to her family that she's fine and has her treatment kit with her. She was sounding rather upbeat, being shown the labs aboard the Audron..... Oh, and I need to pull apart your comm equipment and rewire it all from the ground up.....".

"You leave that gear alone till after you speak to me about it. Got it luv"?

"Understood. Anything else"?

"Nothing.... Jess out". Jess cut the connection and sighed.

"Jen?"  Morgan did finally put his hand to his face.  "Oh for crying out loud...Jen.  I shouldn't be surprised."

Morgan just wasn't feeling like he could win with any of his decisions.  He watched over where Amy was talking to Babe, who seemed actually interested.  Of course, interested in exactly what was a bit up in the air.  Morgan turned to Jess and Dahlia.

"I can't do it.  It isn't the smart decision, as entertaining as it sounds.  Either from a publicity or a cause perspective.  I'm not promoting TerF.  I'm just not doing it."  Morgan looked at Amy again.  "But I can't help feel bad telling her no.  She's just so...eager.  And I understand it.  I understand why she's doing what she thinks is the right thing to do."

With a frown, Morgan said, "If only her drive could be put to some other purpose.  If we came up with some other answer than yes or no for what she was doing.  I still probably wouldn't be able to participate, but someone else might..."

~ ~ ~ ~

Babe was listening to Amy, who's enthusiasm grew on her as she went on.  Finally, Babe had to put her hand up to get Amy to stop.

"I want to ask you something, and don't take this the wrong way."  Babe looked at Amy with her blue pool like eyes, and her new, way over the top outfit, seemed to emphasize her body language.  It was a message of interest, but reservation.  "All of this, is this what you always wanted to do?  Or what you feel you have to now?  What did you want to do before TerF, and everything happened to your family.  Be a press secretary for someone else?"

Babe gave a 'hold on' finger, then reached to the inside of her military coat, and pulled out a cherry blow pop.  She unwrapped it, stuck it in her mouth where she put it against one cheek with her tongue, then said with the lollipop encumbering her words, "Go ahead, I'm listening now."

"How about if she remained embedded here as a reporter?" Dahlia said. "She's obviously talented. We're going into Batarian space spying on the Batarians for the Council. That affects Earth. That will show her that we're all in this together. Of course the reporting bit will have to be cleared with Naleena."

Morgan looked at Dahlia.  It was yet another opportunity to make his face look like everything was all right while a bomb went off in his head.

"Well, she could.  But then she'd be reporting with faces attached to videos I guess?  Wouldn't that be bad even with Naleena's approval?  I mean it wouldn't be much of a report without names and direct video of action and all of that, right?"

Dahlia was coming up with ideas at least.  Morgan simply wanted to melt down at the idea of a reporter following a pirate ship around or the special ops team for a Spectre.  He thought of one of those conversations, even where, Irina might be talking to Jenus and how that would go over.

It would be cringe worthy.  Amy could get a Pulitzer while the Council Spectre program was destroyed by public demand.

Alternatively, Amy could repackage it and ride the fiction video train for life, mutating the content to make B-flicks.  Not exactly reporting, but...

"What I want"? Amy actually seemed taken aback by the question. "What I want..... well does it really matter? Wanting to be something doesn't negate the need for my talent's. I mean, I am doing what I enjoy..... in a way. Maybe not in the way I thought but managing and taking responsibility for others is rewarding in itself don't you think"? She glanced away. "Public service demands sacrifice. I keep telling people. If you want this life you have to pay a price. The price is freedom. The gain is for everyone else. Is it really so hard to understand? I don't need someone to save me. Once this part is done though, then I can move on and maybe.....". She was silent for a moment and then said. "...... I like directing. Planning. Organising..... Making things..... work. People are.... complicated. They tie themselves in knots and at it's worst people don't pull together towards a common goal.... I like making things happen. I like solving problems. I never had a single.... well I had one dream but it was stupid compared to what I do nowadays".

"Who's judging you?"

Babe took the blowpop out of her mouth, and surprised even herself that it was nearly finished.  She looked over Amy in her tight, white dress.

"Tell me what's so stupid.  There's no one here who cares one bit about odd fancies.  And you know that...."

There was a bit of a spark in Babe's eyes.

"And it isn't like if you say it, that you can't keep on doing whatever it is that you are doing now."

The second after Babe put the blow pop back in her mouth, she crunched down hard on its chocolaty center.  Babe rolled the white stick around with her fingers as she sucked as much of the candy off the end as she could before she'd have to toss the stick.  Meanwhile, she waited for Amy to answer.

Amy looked over to where the other three were conversing quietly and leaned in close to Babe before she realised she was doing it. Her heart fluttered as Babe's scent caught her, carried her up and threatened to whisk her off her feet to a place that her eye's promised would be Nirvana, that Amy knew would entrap and ensnare her in the crushing vine's of Babe sweet, sweet embrace.......

"I really, really wanted to make Blasto films when I was kid". She whispered.

Babe stopped chewing on the stick and smiled.  "Badassfully," she said.

Then Babe said to Amy, "Why don't you?  I mean, not Blasto, since you can't get the license.  But what you're doing now is sending a message, right?  You just aren't getting to pick the message.  And why shouldn't you?  You know, when I was a kid...."

Right there, Babe had to stop.  She felt like she should have remembered something, and instead there was nothing but a yawning blank drawn in her mind.  Her expression was pained and Amy could see the look on her face.  After a minute, Babe recovered, remembering who she was with.  "Here, you have a dream and it isn't a pipe dream.  It isn't out of your reach.  It's just as important.  I'm telling you if you can't believe it yourself that it is important.  You want real?  We're here, this is real.  You're on a ship, you're entrenched with, well, with entrepeneurs."  That last statement caused Babe to cough.  "I bet you have resources.  Maybe...maybe you can find more resources.  You have it, I see it, I believe in you.  You can do these kinds of things."

Babe had to stop for a moment, she didn't know where she was going with this, but then Babe just went with it.  "Come on, Amy, I see you.  You're...more than even you think you are.  You've got allies where you'd never thought you'd have them.  Do you really want to be around those people at TerF?  Or do you want to get out there and do something.  This ship is about people who want to do something.  And I swear if that doesn't get your attention I don't know what will."

Then there was a mischievous look in Babe's eyes.  "Or maybe I do have an idea of what will get your attention."

Babe moved in close to Amy.  Very close.

"You want to send a message?  You aren't going to get them with ultimatums.  Not with me at least.  But you can send your message.  I'll help you send that message...if I know you believe in it.  If it is your message to send.  I mean..."  Babe brushed a hand on Amy's shoulder.  "You know, if you've got that kind of bravery to face what you'd have to do to make it all work.  I like brave people."

Over at the other end of the room, Morgan didn't know what Babe and Amy were talking about, but Babe looked like she might be making a pretty convincing argument.

Amy blinked at Babe, then the heat of her hand on her shoulder threatened to send her leg's out from under her as her sudden proximity sent her mind on a spiralling descent into the most primitive part of her brain.

"If.... I mean.... What do you mean? TerF is.... was..... pretty bad before but we changed t*t..... changed it! That's because we have good people twerking..... Working..... there. We still need to lose the extremist and shed the stigma of the past.... That's important. People who support us deserve not to be judged by TerF's ass and that's my job. To break us from the past. If your captain gave you a job, would you say no? Of course not! TerF's not perfect.... but if all the good people leave then it'll slide back inside..... ah...... slide back to how it was I mean. You understand.... You have to be strong in this game. On point all the time because no one sleep's.... because it's a machine.... always grinding away my it's hot".

Amy was starting to sweat as she stood mesmerised by Babe as she seemed to be fighting her aura and seemed to break the spell for a moment as she stepped backwards. "Uhhh... but that's great if you want to help we can hash outthedetailslatergreatmeetingweshoulddoitagaincya"!

Amy turned and somehow her shoe hit a piece of deck that wasn't flush with the floor that sent her pitching forward towards the lift as she began the short journey to the decking, that in Amy's racing mind, seemed to take longer than it seemed.

If Babe hadn't been paying attention, that would have been one brain jarring collision with the floor.

But as it happened, Babe's reached out and caught Amy centimeters before she hit the floor.  Which still would have been ugly, if one of Babe's hands hadn't gotten under Amy's head just as it banged into the deck.  Babe hissed in pain as her fingers were caught between Amy's skull and the hard surface.  Amy was all right.  Her head landed in a cotton glove.  But what seemed like a momentary pain for Babe lingered longer than usual.

Babe, her physique nothing but incredible, held Amy easily in her arms.  She winced, however, the pain of her pinched fingers lingering far longer than what seemed normal.  "Should have warned you walking about here with heels takes practice.  Are you all right?"  Babe, on her knees, searched Amy's eyes for any sign that things were amiss.

Amy stared back at Babe, firmly in the glare of her headlights and like a trapped animal, froze in the glare.

"Yes"? She said in a small voice.

From over on the couch, Jess saw everything and decided the meeting had run it's course.

"Okay, Amy? Thanks for coming up. It's been good to hear your proposal.....". Jess stopped as she noticed Amy's eye's didn't move from Babe's looking over Morgan and Dahlia she shrugged. "Guess Babe wasn't exaggerating when she said she'd handle her". As Babe raised Amy off the floor Jess stepped forward and snapped her finger's next to the side of Amy's face. As if broken from a spell, Amy looked over at Jess, her expression pleading as her body stood stiff and tense even as she clutched at Babe.

"Miss Babylon.... Amy.... It's unfortunate, but it's not a conviniant time for Morgan to join you in this effort your attempting....".

"Effort"? Amy looked as if she weren't sure where she was. So strong was Babe's aura. Or perhaps, years of hard work and little in the way of self gratification made her more suseptable to Babe's presence.

"The ad's". Jess affirmed. "You see, Morgan has a few things going on in his life that require his full attention. That on top of his duties on the ship means' his time is very precious. And I just can't free him up to join your recruitment shoots".

"I can help with that". Amy said, not looking like she understood just what it was that Morgan needing help with, but the words seemed to emerge on reflex.

"Really? Well now.... That would be mighty friendly of you".

"Friendly". Jess winced as she saw her sister scrambling for some sort of mental traction. "If it's a contract issue.....".

"You know! We do have a problem with our next port of call. Morgan's got to buy a shipment buuuut..... He's not having much luck on getting a good price. The research and negotiations...."

"I can do that"! Finally something seemed to have clicked and Amy's mental processes kicked back into gear and went from nought to sixty in under a second. "Give me your contact's and I'll have them begging you to take their goods off their hands".

"Deal"! Jess reached for and gripped Amy's hand with hers and pumped it firmly. "Like I said. Mighty friendly of you".

The Janiri emerged from FTL in orbit above Thessia.

“This is Lieutenant Jorril of the Janiri requesting permission to land at the University of Serrice. Sending coded message now.”

The air traffic control responded quickly. “We have you on radar. You are cleared to land. Please lock onto our vector signal.”

“Affirmative. Locking on.”

The Janiri began its descent  into Thessia’s atmosphere, and air traffic cleared to allow for the approach of the Athena Class Battle-Frigate. It landed in the large sports field behind the Computer Science and Archaeology buildings. Security was tight in the area as student protesters had taken to the streets demonstrating against the university allowing a warship to land on university property, and in fact having anything to do with the military. Demonstrations were peaceful, however, but still there was always a risk of a security breach. This being a prototype ship meant Serrice Guard units were stationed around the campus in plain clothes.

The airlock opened and Naleena stepped outside the ship and walked down the gangway to the ground below where she was met by a university official and by Dr. Lisani Mainarda, the curator of the museum and chair of the Department of Ancient Studies. Lisani was about an inch taller than Naleena, which was quite tall for an Asari, and she had a medium blue complexion with white facial markings indicating an upper class origin or someone who wanted to be perceived as being such. After the pleasantries of introductions conversations began.

“… So really, you have an entire archive on your ship? They’re huge, how did you manage…, I know it’s probably classified,” Lisani said. “Inusannon you say?”

“That is correct, with some Prothean overwrite,” Naleena replied. “I think you’ll find it quite interesting. We’ve been analyzing it as well. It confirms that there was an extinction cycle before the Protheans, and that the Inusannon suspected one before them. Dr. T’soni believes the galaxy is built on perhaps many of….”

“I know what Dr. T’soni believes,” Lisani scoffed. “Dr. T’soni, while well studied, is very young and has a lot to prove in the field of academics. Her theories are, shall we say, a bit wild.”

Naleena smirked. “I assure you from what I’ve seen out there that they’re not.”

“Do you have any actual proof other than your belief and what we’ve found in the archives?” Lisani asked.

“It’s… classified,” Naleena replied.

“Then until I see concrete evidence, we must assume that you have none. Nevertheless, let’s get this done, shall we?”

“Yes. My crew is ready to connect the fiber optic cables to the central computer data storage,” Naleena said. “It is secure, isn’t it?”

“Yes, someone in the Council’s administrative wing had us go through several inspections to make sure the data would be safe.”

“And Dr. T’soni said to inform you that she will be joining you shortly to examine the archive.”

“I’m sure she will.” Lisara said with sarcasm and  motioned to her team to connect the cables with the Janiri’s.

Naleena stood by observing the surroundings while the download was being done.

Morgan stood up.  Dahlia had been a bit quite after her temper release at Amy and the idea of TerF.  "Come on, it sounds like that omni-tool you're wanting is going to get into this mix.  We can work it out while we check on the bridge and how Marshall is doing."

Babe looked to Jess, knowing she understood a bit more about the hand pain.  It had gone by that point, though, and she said to Amy, "You are resourceful, after all.  I think things will work out well for everyone.  Now, are you all right or do you need a hand?  Or do you need to go over the specifics on the equipment with the Captain?"

Dahlia nodded and went with Morgan. "And I should get back to my station, at least briefly to see where we are. I'd like to get my hands on a Savant. You should get one, too. In fact I think the entire command staff on the ship should have one. They're a little expensive, but Jess should get them for us. Take the cost out of our share. But I'm telling you, this is the best place to get them, not on the Citadel or anywhere else where they're marked up 1000%."

"Sounds good luvs! Off you go. Get us tooooo.... Wherever it is we're going". Jess waved a hand. Go on. Sooner we arrive the sooner we start stacking on our debt to afford all this stuff..... Never thought I'd be going back into the red but what's a little debt eh"? Jess stuck her thumb through her gun belt. "I need to contact Dragon. Tell him to meet us there. Then go beat an arm out of Kolme because.... I'm telling you all now.... This one arm thing is getting old".

"All right,"  Morgan agreed.  "You can help me streamline what I need; it has to be seemless for me, not full of the technical suites, or at least they have to be easy to access by a soldier."  Morgan lead the way to the elevator with Dahlia.  "Not everyone on this ship is interested in an eighty item menu deep battery of perfect shield frequencies."  He joked with Dahlia, of course, hoping she'd get it and not come down on him thinking he was picking on asari.

Kolme...the mention of him crossed Morgan's mind as he passed Jess.  "Not that I want to tell you how to spend your money, but that quarian is working overtime for you."

Babe looked into Amy's eyes.  "You there?"

Lorek - Outskirts of Jalnor

The large island that Jalnor sat upon was a rare landmass that managed to span not just the Habitable Belt that made up the tidally locked worlds equator, but also extended East and West, into the dry arid zone and the cold frozen tundra zone. The western tip of the Island had a constant day and was humid hotbox, a miserable place once you got past the thing belt that made up a warm watery beach area. The eastern stretch was cold, with icy chunks leading into the frozen ice-shelf of the oceans that served as the "winter area" for any tourists. The island itself was massive, and there was lots of space for the millions of residents to call home.

Which made living on the outskirts a rather strange place, unless you wanted to be left alone, or were being forced to be alone. For the Esan Resistance, or Esan Movement depending on who you asked, it was both at once, as the asari nationalists who wanted their colony freed from hegemonic rule knew staying in the city would be a death trap. Instead, they hid in the forzen edges of the island, where few willingly ventured to, held up in the small compound area they were forced to call home.

They'd done much to try and win over the people, the other asari, the occasional salarian or hanar, even a few batarians. They'd donated and offered their services as a security force for less government oriented events. They'd given speeches, organized non-violent protests, even attempted to arrange some form of hearing with the colonial governor, yet to no avail.

Now any hope of coming to some sort of agreement was over. Many people's lives were lost in the Wayland-Yutani facility blowing up. Many families demanded justice on the world. And the Governor had to answer them, to give someone to blame while his homeworlds government sought justice with the one truly responsible. An asari had done this crime, and now the asari would pay the price.

"This is your last warning. Surrender now. Or you will be charged with Resisting Arrest!" Police Commissioner Yudas was an aged batarain, who'd served the colonial police for nearly 40 years of his life. He stood with the other officers behind skycars and erected barriers as the square grey compound sat silent in the snow, is doors firmly shut and barriers active. The arrest of any asari activists was an order he knew was bullshit. But it was neccisary bullshit to keep the people of this colony from rioting. The Esan just happened to be the unlucky ones to get their time called.

"We Didn't Do Anything! You have the proof that we didn't already!!" Came a cry from one of the only open areas of the compound, a small window open and facing the exterior. "You've been monitoring us for years, You know we didn't do this!!"

Yudas let out a sigh as he rubbed his temple, feeling the familiar stress building inside of himself. He didn't want to call in the BSIU, not for something like this at least. The smoother this went, the better it'd be in the long run, and the better retirement package he'd get for himself a few months from now. If the Intervention Force got involved, he'd have to spend a whole year just filling out paperwork about why so much broken bones and dead bodies filled up from a simple arrest warrant.

He turned to look at the stranger in his little band of policemen, an asari sitting in the back seat of skycar. He grumbled out to himself as he weighed his option, already hours in to this and with no success. Every time he sent one of his men in, the biotics would come flying from the window above. It wasn't lethal, but it was delaying for certain. And he couldn't escalate things by bringing in the bigger guns.

Which left him with one option. He walked over and opened the back of the door. "I've considered your offer..." He said as the asari inside turned to look at him, or rather, look in his general direction.

"And what have you come to conclude, Commissioner?" She asked, her voice icy cold as the yellow lenses of her glowing visor illuminated the dark back seat of the policecar.

"If you help handle this situation...I'll consider reducing your sentence." Yudas said with a reluctant sneer. He hated having to use a foreigner for something liek this, much less dealing with them. But his options were limited, 'Besides, I don't need to keep my word. As long as she does what I ordered her to. I can throw her back in with those other squid-heads.'

Ezkra K'Seni was silent as she got out of the car, boots crunching in the snow as she walked forward. Even with her holographic glowing visor, one could see the white color of her eyes. She walked forward as the visors visuals sent their signals through connectors in her brain, acting as her eyes as they zoomed in to the window above. A snap of heat vision let her assess the situation. 5 in the upper floor, multiple unknowns on the bottom levesl, too unclear to see.

She stopped in the front of the building as she looked up to the other asari, seeing one of them rushing to the door as she spoke out. "Who the heck are you? Do you think sending out some random asari's gonna convince us to give up?"

"I'm just here to talk..." Ezkra said aloud, her breath fogging in front of her as she flexed her hand behind her, getting ready to move, "Why don't we talk, face to face?"

"Face this, Bi-" The asari inside moved, her hand ignited with biotic energy, but Ezkra was faster. In the blink of an eye she had sent a stasis field around the target, now stuck halfway out of the window with her head and right arm exposed. Ezkra held out her other hand, a biotic glow easily seen by everyone around.

"You're friend's snagged in my field. Unless you want her to become a biotic explosion trigger, Open the doors now..." She said flatly as she spotted movement behind the stasis'd asari. She moved faster, her omnitool out and firing a cryo blast as it struck the frozen asari. It did nothing to her, but the shriek from behind made it clear, the area of effect for the quick freezing fluid had found a mark. "Don't try to move her, and don't try attacking me. Open the gate, or none of you will walk away alive..." She said flatly, frowning as these asari rebels tested her patience.

She felt sorry for them, truly she did. IT was clear the council had pulled strings to strike at the hegemony. And it was clear they'd signed these asari to take the blame. But such as life, betrayal was an inevitable part of living. Someone always had to stab someone else in the back, even if they never realized they'd done so.

The compounds doors unlocked, Ezkra's face unchanging as she threw out a low powered warp bomb towards her stasis target, screams from the upper floor as the sudden blast blew out the room and sent all inside slamming against the wall. They were disoriented, some perhaps were deaf, but they'd live at least.

She didn't even flinch when her occular sensor detected multiple people sneaking up behind her, knowing what it was about from the start. "Let me guess...you're going back on your word?" She asked as she turned around, seeing Yudas pointing a gun at her, with 3 other cops giving him backup.

"Nothing personal. But flaunting the law isn't something so easily forgiven..." He said as he motioned for the others, a quick shot of the submission net sending Ezkra to her knees, her hands bound in cuffs and a collar slapped on her neck, already feeling the sense of nausea it caused her sweeping through her system. Biotics were dangerous to take in, and unless one had a means of keeping them from using their powers, they were essentially always armed.

The Anti-Biotic Collar made a person feel like ****. It's effects weren't damaging, but it did make it hard to concentrate and use ones biotics. Still, Ezkra looked towards the aging, over-weight batarian with a scowl.

"Betrayal is inevitable. All things in life hurt the ones who trust them eventually...your time will come..." She said with a glare, as Yudas activated his enforcer gauntlet of his omnitool, rearing back his hand as he brought it hard across her face.

Her entire world was swallowed by darkness. Once again.

"I... understand. Our shield boosts have to be tuned to our biotics. I need to have that option available. Also if they're tuned right with our biotic amps, we get a recharge boost," Dahlia replied. "I'll get one of the apps that work with suit shields so you and Jess get the boost there instead, okay? It's still better than any boost you'll see from one of the competitors. Trust me, Aria gave one to her lieutenant, and he's not biotic.

- Omega ((Collaboration with Jen and Kel)) Part 1 -

Macharea's ship, The Blade Wolf, slowly soared towards Omega as it sent out its docking orders. Getting approval, the vessel slowly docked to the lower portion of Omega, the surviving slum area located outside of the docking bay of the station. It had been ravaged, and repairs were slow. People were scarce, and any who wanted to escape Aria's gaze, at least its full gaze, came here.

Machaera stepped forward as he waited for his vessel to finish its procedures, a bandana like piece of cloth covering the lower half of his face as he looked towards Ren'Danna. "And you're sure its here?"

"Positive. My caches are set up across multiple worlds. This ones the closest..." The quarian replied simply as she looked towards the batarian soliders, dressed in medium armor instead of the usual heavy. "I can trust your escorts here?"

"You have your own in case you don't..." Machaera replied, his eyes going towards the empty air he knew Argo occupied.

"Very well then...let's move." She ordered the batarains, moving out with them as the cyborg commander stood alone, looking around the dear desolate area of omega with some bordem.

On the streets of Omega, somewhere nearby, Tyrius Agathron walked with an outward disinterest, though the occasional bit of prey caught his attention.  Nothing worth his attention, yet.  The turian had come here, straight from the Citadel, after his last job.  The people he worked for there were very good, but Tyrius did not want to be tied permanently to them.  He sensed it was an organization that demanded the kind of dedication where one would willingly lose themselves.  And there was too much fun to be had to let that happen.

As Machaera waited for the others to return, his attention came upon a turian in the area. He raised a brow at the individual as he watched him from nearby the docks, still dressed in his hood and coat armor-mesh and his sword sheathed at his side.

It was clear that Tyrius was up to something.  He met a low level contact, a human that was clearly unsettled by his presence.  The poorly dressed man made a tight burst transfer by Omni-tool to Tyrius, and then left for wherever his fate would carry him.  Tyrius studied the information given, turned off his Omni-tool then headed down the barely populated avenue of a machinery district.

The shoddy upkeep of the neighborhood in the dregs was on display for all to see.  After passing two stores which were closed with metal, reinforced riot doors, Tyrius stepped into a vendor shop that looked like some sort of pawn shop as advertised with nauseating yellow lights.  He was there to deal for weapons, and in the part of Omega he was in, there wasn't much of a concern for him regarding who was looking.  Not that he suspected he was being watched.

And he always got a good deal.  It just took a little talking to the vendor.  Everybody wanted to make money, but everybody also had a healthy respect for their own well being, too...

Machaera had spotted the turian easily enough for how much he stood out. And for how much he seemed to have some kind of goal in mind.

'What do we have here? A little something of aria's?' The batarian wondered to himself as he decided to follow the turian. One of the advantages Machaera had was his biotics, which he used as he blinked in and out of the avenue as he kept watch on the turian.

Machaera wanted, no. Needed to expand his resources. And a secret rendevous point of aria's was a prize worth his attention. Looking towards the store, the batarian raised his brow curiously as he approached.

'So much secrecy. Could this be...an operation outside of aria's knowledge?' He thought to himself. It would make sense given the secrecy. And a smile grew on his face, 'Thats even better. A chance to muscle in on some operations and open up some connections on this rock.' he thought to himself.

With that in mind, Machaera walked up to the front door of the vendor and paused, thinking on whether or not he should go in. It took the impulsive captain a few seconds as he decided to wait outside for a few minutes first. If nobody came back out, he'd simply go in then.

Essul felt the ship leaving FTL and the planets gravity taking hold over the ships artificial field as he remained in his quarters. "We must have landed..." He said aloud, thinking of what he would do.

Deciding to take an initiative, he set out to look for commander selani. The thought to ask vera occurred to him, but he thought it'd be better to find her on his own, and get a better lay of the land as it were. Or in this case, lay of the ship.

==============================================================================

"You know, when we said we'd be going to some school on Thessia, I didn't think it'd be quite so literal..." Vayne commented as he looked out of the lounge's observation port at the stands next to the ship, the field below them looking quite healthy and pristine.

"Heh...been a while since I saw normal grass. Not desert grass or crazy jungle world ones..." He mumbled more to himself or anything as he shock his head, "Ancestors I'm getting old..." He said with a sigh.

Irina stood next to Vayne. "Yeah, and to think how old this civilization is. I mean look out there. They had about a 3000 year head start on everyone, and to think they don't have a Prothean Archive," Irina said shaking her head in disbelief. "They could have ruled the galaxy. The question is why didn't they?"

"Galaxies a big place. Maybe they did and got bored with it? Happened so long ago nobody remembers. .." he said as he thought on it, "Then again, any race who tries to take over dies. Rachni Died. Protheans Died. We almost died...." he said refering to ths korgan, "Maybe they had the right idea. Dont see them getting genophaged, locked in an arms race, or having their spies hunted one by one...."

He stayed quiet as he kept watching outside the window, "Im over 300 years old . That grass is probably older then me..." he said with a chuckle.
