Naleena took Frank's hand. "Pleasure, Frank. Thank you. And yes, I could use an engineer on the team. Also, I would like to compensate you for repairing the shuttle. Figure out how much you want for the work."

And then she turned back to answer Vayne's question. "Now you are not to speak of this to anyone without clearance. Do you remember the Battle of the Citadel? Do you remember reading or seeing the pictures of the giant ship? It was not Geth. They're called reapers. The Council officially denies their existence. It is suspected that the ship was tied to a cycle of galactic extinction performed by a race of machines every 50,000 years or so. I was forwarded the files on this. We are going to look for Prothean artifacts, and anything that may help us stop them. It is believed that the Collectors are their mere servants.

"As far as putting together a team? It was suggested that I ask the members of the team Androkan put together. And I have some other dossiers as well. This is a long-term assignment. And Vayne, the ship has a Krogan cook."

Vayne looked to naleena, his face unreadable as he listened to her story.  Finally after a long silence he leaned in to look naleena in the eye's, blinking his singular one in surprise.

"........You arent kidding are you..." he sai in disbelief, sounding dumbfounded but knowing now she was fully serious.

...Figure out how much you want for the work.

Frank stopped following.

I get to name my own price?

He stroked his chin for a moment.

It wasn't exactly hard work...  Then again, she has an unlimited budget now...

He began pacing, as he counted on his fingers.

No, I can't just be like 'I need 10,000 Cr.' That wouldn't be right.

He stopped pacing and thought about it.

Okay. I'll ask for 3,000 Cr.  I figure the repair is worth 2000... then I'll transfer the rest to Adir.

Frank snapped his fingers.  "3000 Credits. I'll take 3000 Credits for the job."  He said, now standing by himself in the middle of the busy crowd. Vayne and Naleena had walked on.

Since the others had wandered off to who knows where Eteon decided now was as good a time as any to have her things moved. She opened up her omni-tool and sent a request to the Audron for the Quartermaster to have her things sent through Customs checks so that it could be sent wherever when Naleena told her what the ship was named. I could carry everything around myself but there is no way they would allow me to move the weapons. Omni-tools are already bad enough.

With the message sent off she only had to wait a moment before a reply came. The organization of her things wouldn't take long but as it was there was a lot of stuff being moved onto and off of the ship. It would go into the queue for movement later. She accepted that and, with book in hand, walked out of the Customs area after letting the Asari know to expect items coming from the military ship. She technically was supposed to be chaperoning Vayne but with Naleena around that wouldn't be a problem. She hoped.

Eteon walked from the customs area and, not seeing Frank, made her way along the Presidium towards the Embassies. They were close enough to the food on the ring that she so desperately wanted to eat. She didn't mind the compact rations on Turian ships when she was fighting because they were scientifically engineered for consistent energy but... Using taste once in a while was also nice.

"I know how long it took you, Frank. You did good work, but 3000 is a bit steep. 2000 CR is quite fair, don't you think? That's my personal shuttle, not the Council's." Naleena said, "You just did an emergency repair. You banged out the dents, and put it back in its original shape so it would retract. Now if you repainted and refinished it to match, I'd go 4000 CR."

What Naleena had told Vayne was extremely serious. It was almost unbelievable. For most the Collectors were bad enough, but this was nightmare stuff. She looked over at Vayne with a straight face. "Really, Vayne, the cook is Krogan. His name is Aknot Grag," Naleena said, "This was not my idea for a mission, Vayne. We're following leads, and we'll see where they take us. This is a large galaxy. Are you in?"

Vayne was silent as he pondered things over, until finally he spoke. "I'm in...but I don't see how the protheans are going to be much help, if what you said is true." Vayne said, a bit of exhaustion in his voice as he spoke, "They weren't exactly successful far as I can tell."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"What are you talking about?" Essul asked, genuinely confused by this turian, but also wanting to keep him talking. He seemed the type to like the sound of his own voice, which would make it easier for him to plot an escape. He wondered for a moment if the turian would fall for it or just knock him out right here and now.

Vectivus smiled as he looked down at essul, "You really don't got a clue, do you?" he asked, clearly asking rhetorically and preparing a gloating speech. Good old weak bastards, they always talked too much the moment they thought they'd won.

"Did you think we'd really be able to sneak your stuff pass c-sec with a few bribes? No, some of our boys got picked up and had to be bailed out. C-sec's now putting an extra focus on us and our underground works. They're coming after us, cause your put them on our trail." Vectivus said as he paced, arms moving in dramatic motion to accentuate every point. Like a stupid textbook fool, he was filling out every single trope essul could hope for.

"So I got to thinking, what would be a good way to throw them off our trail? And then I meet you, and I knew you were my ticket out of this mess and into contact with the high ends of this station." Vectivus said as he leaned in close to essul, smiling a **** eating grin as he did so, "All the extranet papers are going to be talking about how the suns stopped a batarian plot against the council. We'll blow up bigger then eclipse after anhur, government contracts and publicity out the ass, and it'll all be thanks to me turning your stupid ass in. I can even rough you up a bit..." Vectivus said as he flexed his claws, "Who knows? Might get more good press if I do. Show the galaxy the suns not afraid to rough up some trash now and then."

Essul was quiet, head tilting down as vectivus's smile turned into a frown. "What's wrong, "Grenadier"? Got nothing to say?" he asked as essul continued to ignore him.

"....." Vectivus frowned, reaching out and grabbing a hold of essuls helmet as he forced his head forward, "Look at me dammit! I want you to see the face of the man who's gonna **** you up."

".....alright then." Essul said simply, looking to vectivus before he reared his head back suddenly, slamming it forward and striking the turian right between the eyes. He gave a cry of surprise as he held his face, the other suns trying to hold essul back as one of his hands ignited with biotic energy, a warp forming in his hand as it fired it point blank to one of his attackers. The man screamed as he was ripped apart by gravity shifting rapidly, essul having an easy time shoving him away and freeing one of his arms.

Essul slammed his fist into his other attackers helmet, his head going back before essul opened his hand and grabbed the mans faceplate, shoving it hard downard as it crashed into the ground. Essul was now free, standing up as he flicked both of his wrists out, a thin cord of metal deploying from his gauntlets before he grasped them, lighting up with biotics as the whips were surronded by high density biotic mass, the cord electrifying as he brought both whips back.

Vectivus had just enough time to see essul do so before he slammed his whips into the ground, a massive blast of kinetic and electrical energy sending the turian flying back and through a thick bullet proof window, crashing out into the floor of the presidum, carapace bleeding from a few slivers of glass now embedded through it and chestpiece sporting a new crumpled look.

"g-get out here you assholes...." The turian commander said as two skycars suddenly landed, the doors opening to the long closed embassy as essul stepped out, whips glowing and crackling against the floor as he brought one back, lashing it out as vectivus drew a pistol, "Light him up already you-AGGHHHHH!!!!" the turian shouted, the whips striking his hand and shattering the pistol, the turians arm snapping as it now bent at two highly unnatural and painful angles from the strike.

Blue suns mercs came from the skycars, essul looking to them as he darted back into the embassy, right as the suns started opening fire at the batarian, and the crowd standing in front of them, not seeming to care if they mowed down some civilians or not.

A gunfight on the Citadel was not a daily occurrence. An armed robbery usually caught the attention of the whole station. A firefight including the Blue suns and some random Batarian? That was enough to cause serious concern. And Eteon could hear as such from where she was standing not far from the embassies as she watched the two skycars land and begin firing at the empty embassy. The hell is going on? She thought as she rushed towards the action. She was admittedly unarmed but as a Cabal that was about 50% of their activities anyways. She looked like a civilian too so that helped.

She hefted her heavy book and as she walked over to one of the nearby Mercs and considered jumping him. The problem was that a crowd was still nearby and there was no way that she could do so without directing fire to someone closer to the ground. Someone could wind up getting hurt. People are going to get hurt anyways!

Counting the suns closest to her Eteon encased her book in a field to keep it from flying open en route before whipping it at the closest target. It was an armored Batarian, a bulky guy and wearing tech armor. He was not expecting a 500 page book weighing ten kilos traveling at a cool 9 meters per second. Neither was his tech armor since it wasn't really designed to do much other than crack and absorb hits from the front. So a book sailing through the air had little to no issue knocking the man flat as if it was a carnifex round.

A sucking noise like a vacuum in empty air was all the noise as Eteon grabbed her book again before it could fall to the ground. She used both hands to swing it up in an arc to catch the bottom of the gun so its rounds were going wide of the civilians in front of the building. The Human had an honestly surprised look on his face to see a book in the first place. It was the mid 22nd century, nobody used books anymore.

Well this cabal did and she used the spine of it to crack the man in the forehead. It was clear these suns weren't the highest on the chain since they were letting a lone woman with a book and no biotics smack them around. Eteon didn't mind though and when the human threatened to try and get up she covered the bulky literature in a dark blue biotic field, held it spine-down, and let it drop on the man's crotch. The armor would take most the blow but a threat like that was hard to ignore.

Frank pulled his pet rock from his pocket, and examined it as he walked.  I can't believe this was a thing. He chuckled to himself.  A thing that people spent money on.  How stupid.  He stopped for a moment, and started cracking up.  "I paid money for this!"  A couple civilians and a C-SEC officer gave him a funny look, as he stood laughing at his rock.

"Officer, I paid money. For this. Can you believe that?"

"That's great, sir.  Do you need help finding your way back to the hospital?"

"Hospital?"

The officer received a call.

"Shots fired?  On the presidium? Where at exactly?" The officer quickly walked off.

Neeeeeeat.

Frank followed closely behind.

As Anika stepped out of the loading bay and into the custom's area an Asari waved her down. "Stop! Miss! Those weapons and that armor! Your not allowed them onto the Citadel"!

Anika paused, then walked over to the Asari till she was towering over her. "Sorry. Here". She brought up her omni-tool and laid it on the reader and transmitted her clearence.

The Asari, glad to stop craning her neck up at the woman, looked down and read her reader. Then frowned. "K&Q Trading? Your a merchant? What kind of merchant get's a waver for arms"?

"I'm, actually not a merchant. I'm a body guard. As for the waver, it's something the higher up's negotiated with Terran parliment and.... well, looks like the our councillor got the waver through".

"This is unusual". The mousy Asari protested. "Do those guns have permit's"?

Anika looked down at her collector weaponery. "Yes". She lied. "I can get it to you in a couple of days".

"I need it now". The Asari insisted, a hint of victory in her voice.

"Two days. My ship will be here by then".

"If your paperworks not in order......". The asari began.

Anika stared at the woman. Then looked down at her reader. "You may want to scroll down a little and read who signed the waver".

The Asari blinked. "That hardly matters....".

"Scroll down please". Anika said. A hard edge in her voice that had the Turian guard by the door go on alert. His hand dropping to his pistol on his waist. "You'll find the waver has some amendment's".

The Asari looked down as Anika put Mr Bojangles cage down on her counter. Her eye's flicked up. "Does that have a permit"?

"Yes". Anika said pinching the bridge of her nose. "Yes. He has a permit. And the waver's been amended beyond the standard waver".

The Asari looked down at her display. "It says signed by Council member Udina..... But station regulation's say....".

"It's a waver. Signed by Udina. It's wave's the reg's. That's why it's a waiver. It says anyone under the flag of the King's and Queen's trading company is allowed to carry weapons. And armour. I'm carrying both.....".

"And a permit for that thing.....".

"He's a Gecko. And yes I have a permit".

The Asari looked up at Anika for a long while. Then looked back down. "Let me see when that waiver was signed. It might have expired".

Anika grimaced. She'd always thought Jess hated coming here for the legal jousting that occured with C-Sec. Goddess help her if she survived custom's first.

"What the... you can't be in here!"

Frank had slid into the C-SEC skycar behind the officer.

"Actually, I can."  Frank narrowed his eyes, and deepened his voice.  "Detective Francis Elias." He firmly shook the man's hand.

"I'm going to need to see some identifica--"

"I'm undercover, I'm not carrying identifcation."

"You really think I'm going to buy--"

Frank grabbed him by the collar. "There's no time for this!  People could be dying as we speak!"  He released him.  "HQ can provide you with ID later, but right now, we've got a job to do.  Let's go."

The officer nodded, and closed the door.

Essul kept his back pressed to the armored door as the rounds pounded against the metal. Things were fucked. There was no other word for it at this point. Any thought to stealth was gone now that the blue suns had decided to turn his mission into a damn cluster ****. Essuls eyes went towards the grates, contemplating whether to simply slip into the grate and get away. He could easily do so, kill jatha when he came out the other side, find some way to get his stuff off the station. Hell, maybe he'd just slip off the station all together, it wasn't like he couldn't get to the docks from the tunnels.

The sound of screams outside however snapped him out of it as he holstered his cazador and drew his kishock, acting more on instinct then reason. People were in danger, and his job was to protect people from exactly this type of skullduggery. He charged up his kishock as he held the trigger, making his way to the cracked open window as he popped up suddenly and threw out his hand, catching sight of a female turian as his lash caught someone trying to sneak up on her, pulling them at break neck speeds as they gave a scream and slammed into the wall, falling down out cold.

Essul brought up his kishock, firing off the round as the harpoon skewered one of the suns who'd decided a rocket launcher would be better to use then guns, dropping to the ground with a glowing hot spike impaling their chest. As he reloaded, he better surveyed the area, even as he dashed to the other side of the bullet proof glass as he looked through the heavy transparent surface.

Essul eyes went towards the turian as he stood clad in his armor, seeing her beat people with a book, a paper and ink book for gods sakes, without any armor on. Essul couldn't help but wonder a moment if she had some sort of deathwish. Seeing one of the suns apparently take some shots at her though, essul acted quickly and fired an uncharge harpoon at the man, the object embedding itself in the batarian blue suns leg as he screamed in pain, crumpling to the ground as the hot projectile burned his thigh muscles.

Essul brought up his omnitool, seeing the glass starting to crack beyond use, and activated his cloak. He crackled out of sight as he jumped through the window with a roll, wishing he had his grenades as he switched to his smg, drawing his knife in his other free hand as he ran towards the suns. They still thought he was inside the building as he rammed his knife through a nearby humans throat, the sun looked down in surprise as essul withdrew it, cloak deactivating as he ducked behind the skycar, laying down precise shots at the suns. He never aimed for the crowd, and his shots were precision, designed only to hit the suns and suns alone.

And occasionally he'd fire towards eteon, keeping her from getting flanked or attacked from behind whenever he could.

While finding there was an actual target for the Suns' current death-wish-plan was cool, Eteon was more focused on why she though beating trained mercs with a book was a good idea. Minimal chance for collateral, fair enough, but she was lucky there were no krogans around that needed a beating. Book vs armor would have failed there.

With the Batarian coming out of hiding and now drawing concentrated fire, and the civilians mostly dispersed now, she thought it would be better to just beat down the other suns in any quick way. So when a merc turned to look at her and raised his rifle he suddenly found himself in an awkward head-lock from behind. Stunned he didn't react when the Cabal jammed her elbow into his spine to put him on the ground.

She threw up her barriers when a shot came her way and was happy that the book was holding up to the assault. Since only the cover was slightly bent she went ahead and tossed it into another merc before horizontally jumping out of the line of fire onto the opposite side of the walkway before crouching low to move along. She would need to pick her book up but the thing had survived this long, a little longer wouldn't matter.

"What do you know about this situation, officer..."

"Taylor."  He responded.  "Possible terrorist attack at the old Batarian Embassy.  Reports mentioned gunfire between a group of mercs and a lone Batarian. Civilian casualties."

"Any idea what faction we're dealing with?"

"Not a clue, but they're well-armed."  He motioned behind him. "There's a couple Avengers in the compartment behind me, if you wouldn't mind getting them."

This is a little more serious than I'd imagined.

Frank retrieved the rifles from the back. As they arrived on scene.  He looked out the window and noticed the blue armor.

Sh*t.  Suns.

A couple of the mercs on the ground pointed up at the sky car.

"Taylor, get us on the ground!"

A burst of mass accelerator fire peppered the car.

Frank looked over to Officer Taylor, who was slumped over the controls. "Taylor, you alright?" He pulled him back, a good portion of his head was missing.  "F*ck." The car landed hard, and skidded to a stop against a short wall near the embassy. He grabbed one of the rifles and scrambled out.

The following was in collaberation with sH0tgUnjUliA and Redbelle

Jess nodded. "Ex military? Sounds like you've had quite a life. We'll have to get together for a drink and compare stories sometime. In the meantime..... What do you think about bringing those commando's on the mission"? Jess let the question hang in the air.

Anika turned her head. "Bring them? You hate them".

"I don't hate them them luv. I hate they got one over us.... But I'm past that. It's because they screwed us that they owe us a debt. We were on a legit mission and they screwed the mission. This delay is costing us colonies. The delay is down to them. So they very least they can do is come aboard and speed us back up. We don't have a group of folk who have been together long enough to know how to work like a team at the drop of a hat. The way we splintered from the train explosion shows we're lacking the professional touch".

"Delay? You're blaming them for the delay? What delay? Do you think that if you got the bloody armor it would magically appear on your ship? You think it's a couple days work? Can I ask you where you were going to have the armor put on the ship?" Irina asked.

“In hindsight luv your right, in that there is no real delay. When you look at it from the view of the team heading back off on the collector hunt. But at the time we couldn't have known what would have happened. We couldn't have known that one of us would become a Spectre. Much less be given a ship. At the time all we had was each other and the Audron. And when you look at it from the Audron's perspective the delay set in when we lost the armour. Much as I appreciate the factory standard instruction's for applying armour, your talking to a captain whose long hauled enough that she's had to space walk along the ships hull and replace every part of a ships exterior there is. In my line of, work time's credit's. And when the Medusa has to go into dock she's burning cred's instead of making them. So we learn to fix and repair on the fly. And I know Silias armour can be applied without a dockful of half drunk part time engineer's, most of whom are on some kinda union strike or don't care for the quality of the work because they don't have to rely on it to keep them safe. And grud the amount of health and safety red tape those people get lumbered with.....”.

“I grant, it would have taken more than a few weeks for us to do the work, but we could be off investigating planet's right now while I show all my fellow engineer's how to fit that armour up to combat standards in space. Silias armour mount's to the same hardpoints, with a little tweak here and there, and we could be mounting it right now. The ship would be active in the investigation”. Jess shrugged. “But like I said. In hindsight.... we lucked out”.

"As for the commando's..... I admit, I don't much care for them. But if they come with us, maybe they'll grow on me. This is their chance to make good by helping us on our mission after they hindered it". She painted Irina with a look."As for Haliat..... He was a butcher. Not a business man. He gave real pirates a bad name”.

Jess ran a hand through her hair. “Look. I don't want that situation we faced on the train to happen again. But I know from experience it's more than likely to. Or it could happen in some other way. What I want to get across is that every ship and every team has goal's. A purpose. Something that they want and will go to any length's to achieve in order to get it. We're here to save human colonies and it's not going to be bloodless. We've already fought the real bad guy's but.... when the people who are stopping us from saving colonies are one's who aren't cut in black and white like on the train.... when our resolve to furfill our purpose wavers..... That's when we fail the people we're supposed to be protecting. This time the mission got off easy. Next time it might not”.

Anika nodded. "Our goal is to save the colonies and right now we're not doing that sat here playing politics. Everything seems to be working itself out..... but this has all been an enormous gamble. The council could have just as easily swept all this under the carpet. In our world we don't give people the chance to tell us no. We get the job done as fast as we can and with as little mess as we can manage". She drew in a breath. "I think Jess is right though. We could use the commando's".

"You should take them under wing luv".

Anika was surprised. "Me"?

"You learned under a huntress. You've played the pirate game long enough so that you know when and where the right time to make a move is. Talk to Naleena. Make a case. Those four are loose canon's. They need someone to stop them blowing up more stuff we need. And someone who can judge when it's time to go full Rambo. After all, their mission wasn't to keep the armor out of our hands. It was to protect the armor. They choose to interpret that as keeping it out of our hands. What's a soldier's first duty you told me about"?

Anika understood. "Survive. I know. They didn't exactly take the route that offered the highest survivability rate".

"Exactly. I'm sure it was very impressive and all but like I said. They owe us, because we're working on behalf of the galaxy. They need someone to reign them in. Maybe as a military decision it was a good play but as a business decision they did the equivalent of tossing a pie out the window so no one could eat it. That's waste. And I don't like to see anything that could aid us protect the colonies go to waste".

"Even the commando's"?

"Even them luv".

"I'll speak to Naleena".

Jess pulled out her helmet. "Try showing her this if she's resistant".

Anika looked. "Captain.... the visor's cracked".

"I know. Piece of the train came up and hit it".

Anika looked up. "That could have blinded you"!

"Pretty much. I want to say aren't I lucky.... but like I keep saying. We should never have put ourselves in a position of losing our catch and getting injured in the first place".

Anika took the helmet. "I'll tale to Naleena".

"You do that luv". Jess said as Anika turned and walked off. "And find something for Mr Bojangles to eat already"! She called out after her. "Poor things probably famished"!

Jess turned back. "Look luv. There your friends. So I don't think you or I are going to see eye to eye on how things went down. But I respect you sticking by them. Just know that if something similar happens again, we may not come out of it so lucky. And much as I may seem the type I don't like gambling with my crewmates lives. And who knows, if they make it aboard they may liven up the ship some. More so than the Audron. I don't think I've ever seen a more grumpy group of terminal grouches".

"There's no way we could have known how event's would play out ahead of time. All we had was our purpose and our goal. That's our focus. If we establish a goal we don't get to flip flop with an about turn later as if it didn't matter. If Naleena points, we go and we get the job done. That's how command works. If you have something to say then say before she makes up her mind".

"I get you respect your old friends. Part of having them in the team mean's that at the very least you won't have conflicting issues with them. But if anymore people you know stand between this team and it's mission, you find a way around them and still get what you want. Because if we don't, colonies could die. That might seem unfair but the galaxy doesn't owe us anything. And getting rolled on a mission this important, can't happen again. We're running out of colonies to be delayed anymore".

"Look on the bright side luv. If they do come aboard, we'll be able to use them against the collector's and you'll have new drinking buddies". Jess looked down at her omni tool's time display. "I gotta go. Gotta attend to my crew...... See, that's how bad things can get if you screw up luv..... You lose the people that are important.....".

At that moment Aelias's voice sounded out throughthe ship. "Attention, new reports coming indicates another human settlement  has ceased communicating. Preliminary reports indicate a large ship in the area at the time they went dark. That is all".

Jess sighed. "Running out of colonies". She said under her breath. Out loud she shook her head and said. "Gotta go. Catch you later". With that, Jess turned and walked off the ship.

Irina picked up the rag, hopped down from the crate, and took a couple of tools out of the box. "B*tch." she muttered to herself, "Blames me for the delay and probably for the colony going missing. ‘Make the others nervous,’ she said. She makes me nervous. Keep your distance pirate and we’ll be better off. The ship’s crew couldn't attach the armor anyway. If it ain't done right it leaves gaps... weak points. Bloody galah.

"Zenon, you gonna be alright here for a couple of hours? I need to get some parts, shop for 'personal items,' and take care of some business. You could use a new outfit. What size are you? About a six?"

Zenon blinked. "Can't I go with you? I'd really like to pick out the clothes and try them on."

"Alright, we'll get your outfit together, but I've got to do the other part alone. I'll be back in a couple hours." Irina said, and she tapped her omni-tool and uploaded a book to Zenon's, "Here's a book I used to read. It gave me comfort after the blitz. You might enjoy it."

As Jess walked towards the Audron's open loading hatch, she stopped and saw a group of men around her crates......

Taking a deep breath she walked over. One the men, a human in a C-Sec uniformsaw her approach. "Excuse me". He called out. "We're looking for a, Captain Jess Stone".

"Your looking at her luv".

The man looked her up and down. "Officer Niall's. We're here to take the.... ah... evidence.... in to custody".

Jess looked down at the crates. Trying not to imagine the grusome sight that lay within. "Take it".

Niall's held out a tablet. "I need you to sign these over to us. They'll be taken to one of our forensic labs".

Jess stared at the crates and only became aware of the tablet after Niall's waved it under her nose. "Sorry.... what"?

"The evidence... Miss....".

"Captain".

"Sorry, captain. We'll be taking the evidence to one of our labs.... we'll need you to identify the bodies.... I understand you knew them".

Jess stared down at the tablet. "They were my crew.... Cause I bloody well knew them".

Niall's held up his hands. "Easy now miss....".

"Captain"! Jess retorted.

Niall's frowned. "Look.... Captain. I need to know what happened. In your own words. I need to start putting this together and figure out what happened and whose responsible for all this. I appreciate you must be distressed....".

"That's..... putting it mildly". Jess grumbled.

".... But if you co-operate I can work on bringing their murderers to justice".

A Shadow Broker agent who captured a lynchpin of a trading company's ship network, operating as a front towards pirate activities.....

"Preciate the effort luv". Jess said as she signed away the bodies of her crew. "Just let me know when I need to come in to id the bodies.....".

"We can do that remotely".

"I'd rather be there".

"It's not necces....".

"I need to be there". Jess insisted.

Niall's blinked."....... alright. I'll let the forensic team know. Are you up for talking about what happened"?

Jess nodded and spent the next ten minute's going over her brief history. Omitting certain details, she told him how she'd been hired to aid a Spectre and came aboard the Audron to help in his investigation. About the run's to certain planet's and how she didn't know anything else except that they'd missed their scheduled communication slots. When she was done Niall's nodded.

"If there's anything else you can think of, here's my extension. Just ask for me".

"Preciate it luv". Just don't get in to deep. She thought. A shadow broker agent was above this man's pay grade anyway.

Finally, she wandered off the ship and breathed in the air.

It had been a long time since she'd been here on the citadel. Everything was clean and tidy and organised. She was hating it already when she heard a shout in customs. Her ear's pricked up and she heard the familier voice of Anika.... and someone.... several someone's..... Breaking into a jog she hurried on over.

Dahlia finished packing the last of Naleena's stuff. She was tired of it, and she wanted to go onto the Citadel to check out the sights. She left the Audron and headed to customs. She saw Irina in the line next to her.

"Hey, decided to get off the ship?" Dahlia asked.

"Yeah, I need to get some parts for my bike and this is one of the few places with a dealership. You?"

"I've been packing boxes for Naleena," Dahlia said with disgust, "and she always has me doing boring tasks. You haven't seen Morgan around, have you?"

"No, I haven't," Irina said.

Dahlia was wearing her standard Omega outfit and got waved through customs. "See ya around."

The Asari agent turned to Irina. "Ma'am you'll have to remove your armor."

"This is not my armor, these are my clothes. They happen to be designed after commando armor because it's an effective design. I made it myself." Irina said, "So you'll let me keep them unless you want me to run around the station naked."

The agent shook her head. "You'll have to check in your weapons. You can pick them up on your way out." the customs agent said.

"What is this? A bloody police state?" Irina said, "You just passed one of the most dangerous people in the galaxy through your security. She's a bloody powerful biotic. She doesn't need a damned gun."

"Biotic amps are implanted in the cervical vertebrae. We can't simply remove them or deny biotics access to the Citadel. It would be discriminatory," the agent said.

"You're giving biotics an edge over everyone else on the Citadel, have you considered that?" Irina countered as she put her double barrel shotgun on the table and scanned her omni-tool ID. "An armed society is a polite society. Besides I'll bet people have no trouble picking up illegal firearms in the Wards to protect themselves. You've made it so that only outlaws have guns. If the person who made these rules had dynamite for brains, he could blow dust from his ears. And no, I have no weapons mods on this omni-tool. Check the goddam software..., bloody wombat!"

“Okay, you’re clear,” the agent said.

“About bloody time,” Irina got her hold out weapon and knife past security that was under the plate in the body part of her ‘clothes.’

Frank peeked over the wall, rifle in hand.  He could see the fighting, but couldn't make out any details from where he was..  He brought the rifle's 4X scope to his eye and scanned the area.

There's the Suns... Ew, nasty. He saw a dead merc, a large spike sticking from his chest.  Frank had seen similar wounds on Omega, and it could only mean one thing. Someone had a Kishock.

A few civilians... Most of them had left, but some remained, either wounded, or too scared to move. He hopped the wall.  Keeping low, he made his way towards them.

"You, over here!" A human waved him over.  "You C-SEC?"

"No, I'm..." Frank looked at the panicked civilians. "Detective Elias, I'm here to help."

How far are going to take this, Frank?

"Do you have medi-gel? This man needs help, he's going to bleed out."

He shook his head.  "No, I don't, but I'll take a look.  Sir, can you move your hand please?"

A squirt of blood spattered Frank's shirt.

"Holy f*ck."  The civilians gave him a dirty look.  "I mean... This is a serious wound, that needs immediate attention."

"You think?"

"Keep pressure on it."  Frank set his rifle down, and removed his shirt, and began tearing at the sleeve.

"This should slow the bleeding." Frank tied it around the man's thigh.  "At least I think so... I saw it in a vid once."

"That's real comforting."

Frank shrugged.

"There's some medigel in my car." He pointed in the direction of the crash. "If you can get him there, he should make it."

Maybe.

"You, and you,"  He pointed at a large human and a turian. "Can you carry him?"

The civilians nodded.

"Good."  He picked up the rifle. "I'll cover you.  You move on three."

"One... Two... Three! Go!" The group took off, and Frank, still unnoticed by the Suns, moved closer to their position.

I really liked that shirt...

Irina went to Avina and checked in.

“Welcome to the Citadel, Irina Sloane. I am Avina. This is your first visit. I can help you find any place on the Citadel, provide you with information on Council history, or tell you about upcoming events. With what can I help you?”

“I’m looking for the dealer for the Starstreamer. I need to buy some parts,” Irina said.

“The Starstreamer dealership is located in Zakera Ward on level 29. The Starstreamer is an older model, and parts may be difficult to find. New emissions regulations have forced the manufacturer to make modifications and design changes. You will be required to make such modifications to operate your bike on the Citadel and many of the Council homeworlds.” Avina said.

“Great, just f*cking great,” Irina said.

“I’m sorry. I don’t understand your last request.” Avina said.

“Never mind. Log out.”

And here I just wanted to get her fixed up and take her out for a one fast spin up one arm and back. Could anything be simple? No. Of course not!

Irina took a taxi to level 29 of Zakera Ward. She decided to stop off at a pub in a not so nice part of the ward for a drink. It was darker there. More like Omega outside the pub. She walked up the sidewalk a ways. She looked around with her eyes checking everywhere. She found an alley between a bank and a food store and she ducked in.

Dahlia took a taxi to the Presidium. She'd never seen it. She'd heard stories about it and she just wanted to do the tourist thing there. She also knew everything was so expensive, but Naleena had given her an allowance. Her taxi parked near the Conduit. She saw that it looked like one of the mass relays that the Protheans had built 50,000 years ago, and the Damael flowers across from it were coming in very nicely. She sat on the bench nearby and just wondered at the magnificence of the place.

Essul cloaked behind his skycar cover, popping up as he assessed the situation. C-sec didn't appear to have arrived yet, quite surprising to him considering how strict they were at customs. The suns could be using their connections to suppress c-secs response time, but that would only get them so far.

The female turian had moved out of the direct line of fire, which was good all things considered. THe suns were backing up, losing more men then they'd thought. He saw them gathering around their other skycar, no doubt in case a quick retreat was needed. He had to give them this much, they'd learned the basics of advanced combat pretty well.

Others however had not been so well trained, as he saw about 2 of them trying to run towards the bridge connecting the two walkways together, going after the turian. They would be easy to pick out without back up.

He turned back to the 4 that were left alive, however his eyes were drawn to the new arrival on the scene with the wounded, he looked between the blue suns and the apparently brave feeling civilian as he gathered his biotics and threw out a warp, firing a few bursts of surpressive fire and looked towards Frank, his tactical cloak fading out.

"Get those people out of here now!" Essul yelled to the man, turning back as one of the mercs got out their omnitool, a burst of electricity enveloping essul as he struggled to keep kneeling behind his cover, overload doing a fine job at wrecking his armors electronics and sending pain surging in his body.

"To Leader Cell 4:

Naleena T’sarius has become a Spectre. The Audron was approved for a retrofit of Silaris Armor. Deidrus Androkan and Xanthe Remi were suspended for 60 days, due to an entire shipment of Silaris armor being lost on Duellos although Deidrus’ suspension is only partial. Suspect Asari military to be making a recovery of said armor for Anotaria Industries – report armor not lost to keep investments high.

T’sarius has begun to recruit members of the Audron crew for her new ship. It is a prototype, the Janiri, which seems to be part of a Citadel secret fleet. One of the Audron’s team members suspects that this is where all of the Silaris Armor has been going. I have no way of verifying this; however, it does make sense.

We, however, have a problem. Cell 5’s leader Iyana's 'eccentric' tastes have been tolerated by this organization for a while now because she has been effective, but this time she has gone too far. Chopping up bodies, putting them in crates, and sending them to their ship's captain for fun is beyond sick. One wonders if she did it while they were still alive. She needs to be terminated and replaced by someone who is more businesslike and respectable. She is tarnishing the reputation of our organization.

"What the everloving F*ck are you idiots doing?"  The voice belonged to a dark-toned and short Asari who was walking onto the scene. She was wearing civilian clothes aside from her arm which was decked in Blue Suns logos and in their trademark blue. She was unarmed, relatively unassuming aside from her impressive volume, and pissed as all get-out. Her tone overrode the volume of the conflict and drowned the gunfire. "What possessed you imbeciles to start a firefight on the ring?"

She made a beeline for the officers that were still holding their weapons. They didn't recognize the Asari since she was much higher in the chain than they found themselves talking to day to day. She had Suns' logos on an arm, sure, but they needed their quarry. Over my dead body. The Asari thought to herself as the wounded and shocked civilians were pulled away by invisible forces and out of the way completely. One of the Turians who had launched his overload was on cooldown and raised his gun and fired a few rounds at her.

She ignored them as they glanced off her barrier and into the ground. She lifted her hand and four lash whips were thrust forward, grabbed the Suns, and dragged them towards her at a startling speed. When they were within a few meters of her she brought her other hand back and threw a throw at the middle of the group. It impacted them and they all found themselves reacquainted with the inside of their shuttle through suspect holes in the sides of the vehicle.

"Eat sh*t. Shooting at a superior without thinking. You four are spacewalking without helmets."

Frank saw the tiny asari toss the Suns through the side of a shuttle. He lowered his rifle, and slid back into cover.

That's a whole lotta nope.
