Morgan gave a dirty look to Dahlia that said, I'm right here!

The thin turian officer shook his head in disbelief.

"I'll take you in for a twenty-hour questioning if you don't keep those pretty, misused lips shut, miss," the human officer remarked as he forced his free thumb under his straining belt and leaned on one leg.  "Now...I'm not going to ask again, pilot.  Find your license and registration,  before I lose my soft spot for soldiers.  Your asari service has already pushed my patience to the limit."

She caught Morgan's look out of the corner of her eye. "Sorry, Morgan. I'm not talking about nice upstanding people like the three of you in this car. I'm talking about racist ass holes like him," Dahlia said, "Don't talk down to me like that! You fat f***! I don't care if you're C-sec. We work for Spectre T'sarius and we're on our way to the Janiri. So you can let us go to the Janiri, or you can fill out a bunch of paperwork for nothing because she's just going bust us out. Our ship is at Gate C-1." She looked at the Turian officer, "Why don't you explain to your partner that he could be a big hero if he would just escort us over to the loading dock next to the Janiri? Contact Spectre T'sarius and drop my name, Dahlia T'aniri."

The turian C-Sec officer came around, his uniform ill-fitting due to how thin he was.  He clicked his mandibles twice, looked at Dahlia through the windscreen, and spoke in soft raspy voice that sounded like he needed a drink of water badly.  "Okay, miss, out of the car and put your hands on the hood."

"Says she knows a Spectre," the human officer said mockingly.  "You think she does?"

It took the turian officer three more seconds than anyone would have anticipated it taking to answer.  "Nope."

The human officer smirked.  "Out of the car, blue.  Hands on the hood."  He then shifted uncomfortably in his tight pants.

Dahlia climbs out of the back of the car and put her hands on the hood. "Are you really sure you want to do this, officer? I mean think of all that damned paperwork you're going to have to fill out when one call to Spectre T'sarius on that omni-tool.... Goddess, just contact your Captain. I'm sure he's heard of the Spectre.... You could solve this little matter with one little call and it would be over. But no.... you've got to go through all of this. Or, you could just escort us to the Janiri where they're expecting us. But since you made the stop it's recorded in your records so you'd better at least verify this with your Captain, don't you think?

"And sorry about calling you a fat racist ass hole, officer. That was in the heat of the moment after you called me a prostitute because I'm Asari. And my name is Miss T'aniri, not 'blue.' Let's handle this properly, and I won't file a complaint."

Valkara was glad she had walked free from what she described as a "bloody mind prison". Examining a map layout of the citadel on a nearby wall, Naleena had said to get aboard the Janiri ship which was located on the shipping deck which wasn't to far from Valkara's location. The krogan Valkara had managed to nearly kill before would now of been hospitalised while probably receiving face treatment from the asari's angry biotics at this very moment. "That b.astard had everything coming for him." She whispered to herself while continuing to stroll at a steady pace towards a parked taxi before entering into the car and asking for a ride to the docking station.

Once Valkara had reached the docking bay, she set her eyes on a majestic ship that had clearly belonged or designed to the asari; it had an overall dark grey colour with pattern in rich purple. The hooded asari walked over to the ship and saw crew loading up some sort of crates. "I've been recruit for spectre Naleena's mission. I have to talk to the ship's doctor immediately." Valkara asserted herself to an idle man who subsequently checked his Omni-tool for a message that notified Valkara had joined the Janiri before directing her inside the ship to the doctor.

"C-SEC seems to think he's a terrorist.  That's not saying much, since they think everyone's a terrorist these days.."  Frank rolled his eye. "But tell me, what kind of terrorist is worried about civilian casualties?  The guy went out of his way to ensure the safety of non-combatants." He chuckled. "Sounds like a pretty shitty terrorist if you ask me."

"He's definitely a biotic, but from what I've seen, his powers are extremely unstable.  It appears he needs regular medication to keep them in check, DiIsolyn Neurosomethingsomething, I can't remember exactly what it was called."

"That's all I really know about him.  He doesn't speak much, never even caught his name."

"What was that?" The human officer asked.

Morgan leaned in, putting on as sheepish a face as his hard looks could give.  "Ah, she's had a bit too much, and...she's just going on with nothing, really."

"I thought I heard something about pirates.  Was she calling us names?"

"No! No, no, officer...Puliski?  Officer Puliski.  She, ah, she said, 'Pilots, their lots of them.'  She was, you know, noticing all the traffic."

"Right."

The turian officer stepped over to Dahlia and said in his soft raspy voice, "You're going to have to control yourself ma'am, while we check things out.  I'm going to remove your weapons and cuff you."

Vayne looked about the audron as he wondered where deidrus was located. He was planning on moving his things out of the audron, but he had to do something important first. As he looked about, he gave a sigh as he got on his omnitool, typing out a message as he pressed send, addressing it to the captian.

-Captain Deidrus Androkan

I wanted to speak with you in person but I find myself pressed for time. I've been offered a chance to join naleena on her investigative mission and feel my service would help. But I wanted to make one thing clear, I will be coming back to this ship, and to your investigation, to help when next I can. The collectors are an important matter to me, and you have done as good a job as any could expect in fighting them.

It may not be much, but you have my gratitude, and I thank you for having let me come this far. And if you would allow, I would like to return once more, after my tour is done with naleena.

-Sincerely, vayne.

Addendum: Please don't jettison my shuttle. It's kinda my mobile place of residence. I will be clearing dangerous cargo off it, so no worries there. :)

With that out of the way, Vayne got about loading his personel armory into 3 small crates, one of them already filled with clothing and personal items. All the crates however were specially made, designed to trick the sensors and scanners by making it appear the crates were filled with normal items, such as clothes, food, personal hygine products, any item c-sec had no regulations against.

He loaded the last of his grenades into the specially organized crate, rows stacked neatly one atop the other as he closed the lid and locked it, punching in the code to arm the anti-theft and anti-scan systems.

They stacked onto the armor case, and vayne had no problem pushing all of them out the ship and out the loading bay and to the skycars. He loaded them nice and evenly, armor and one of the cases going into the back seat, as he got in and sealed the door, gliding slowly as he made his way towards the Janiri's docking coordinates.

Anika looked sighed as she kept her hands on the wheel..... Jess was out, Morgan was complying with protocol and Dahlia had gotten herself into hot water with two, rather heavy handed officer's in her opinion. Taking a hand off the wheel she she reached into her medical pouch and came away with a stypic and something to clean the blood. "Morgan, could you clean up the captain? She's not looking so good".

With that done, she swung an armored boot out of the car and set on the deck. Then hoisted herself up and out. The fat human straightened as she did. "Now lookee here miss.....". He stopped suddenly as Anika rose to her full height. The officer was a couple of inches shorter than average and Anika had to tuck her chin in to look at him.

"Officer, I'm a member of the K&Q trading company and this is a car belonging to the K&Q. We are allowed to move guns as part of our agreement and allowed to carry them as part of a waiver organised by the council. You can look it up. I'm sorry for Dahlia's behaviour, she's from Omega where law official's come under hired muscle. But I assure you.... We are attached to that ship... the Jeniri... we were previously attached to the Audron, and the driving was down to me and me alone. I lost control. Now are we going to deal with this"? Anika crossed her arm's over her armored chest. 'Geez Jess.... how do you get out of these things'? She'd done it enough in the past to have it down to an art but her?

Hopefully this would turn out alright.

"Really, Officer, all you have to do is contact your Captain. He'll know about Spectre T'sarius," Dahlia said, "Anika is right. We were attached to the Audron with a Turian Spectre, Captain Androkan and just finished a very stressful mission. Now we're about to go on another one with the Janiri and Spectre T'sarius. You don't ever want to see T'sarius in a bad mood, trust me."

A skycar leisurely pulled up ahead of the groups, driven a little under speed limit and hovered a few seconds before it set down in the space head. The door swung open with a hiss, and vayne got out of the car with a simple heave ho of force. He stood tall, orange eye looking to the group as he turned his head, his scarred and eyepatched right side aimed for the officers as he approached the group.

"Got yourselves into a spot of trouble, did you?" He asked cheekily, crossing his arms as he smirk a bit, not helping but be amused by the situation. Here he was, krogan on the station who had to sit through that long customs check, and three humans plus one asari cause all the ruckus.

He looked to the officers as he gave a nod, "Don't mind me officers, just chatting with some of my future crewmates aboard our soon to be future vessel." He said as he pointed a thumb to the Jeniri, "Anything I can do to help?" He asked as he held out his omnitool, showing first his authorization to carry one he'd gotten from eteon, then his authorization as a certified private investigator with illium's department of state and corporate justice, "Something of a lawman myself."

Officer Puliski turned to the Krogan. "Step back, Sir. That doesn't carry any weight around here. Virnos, call for backup."

The Turian officer contacted dispatch for another two squad cars.

"Oh it doesn't, does it?" Vayne asked as he looked the officer in the eye, arching a brow as he brought up an article in his omnitool, "So I'm guessing the case of Gorot II Heranon Mal Fulsoom Karaten Inoste Varda vs Internal Affairs doesn't carry any weight? The one where the council itself decreed illium's legal authority to enforce its laws within the citadel, and that its representatives of legal authority, be they fellow security forces or independently authorized private security persons, to be meet with all courtesy's of the citadel security service in order to complete their duties as law enforcement agents?" he asked as his smile dropped, turning into a deep sneer to the cops.

"But I'm not here to stir up trouble officer. I'll be stepping back, as you ordered, and stand right here doing nothing." he said as he did so, slowly and with his hands up in mock compliance. The citadel had ignored his authorizations and licensees before, while he was stuck in customs, and it had really pissed him off. Normally he might be tempted to even petition abuse of authority by c-sec. However, he didn't want to stir up more trouble then he already had, or waste anymore time.

The sooner he got his butt off the citadel, the less he'd start to really hate this place.

Deidrus was standing on the command deck with an ETA for his strike team to land on Horizon. They would be meeting up with a friend of his, or an acquaintance more accurately. An Asari who worked with the Suns from time to time for a little extra power on the side.

The blue holo-displays had messages being relayed between the five armigers as well as the front contact between the Suns and him. As usual with these things there was a certain element of patience necessary. He had to hope that should the Colony go dark his men and women were already planetside, and before that, that the soldiers could smuggle their armor in with the Suns. It wouldn't be as heavily monitored as Eclipse packages, that was certain however the Suns were not ones to be treated lightly. They were a very recent group compared to the Eclipse and Pack and had made their name for a reason... Disconcerting ability to make friends where they shouldn't be able to.

The message from Vayne popped up on a screen to his right and he scanned it over. He nodded to himself before returning his eyes to the displays. It would be Operation Go once the armigers were in Suns' hands, and at that point he had to rely on the abilities of a single woman in a den of thousands of blues.

Sirens were heard approaching and more lights flashing. Two black and white C-sec cars pulled up to the scene and four C-sec officers, two human and two turian, approached with their weapons drawn. "Alright, everyone out of the vehicle. Nice and slow. You two: blondie and the Krogan on the ground hands behind your back. Someone get sleeping beauty and quiet man out of there."

"Talk about excessive force." Anika said.

"Just do what you're told and get down on the ground. Things have changed since the Geth attack." a newly arriving human officer said, "Cuff 'em. We'll sort this out later."

"Damn, Spartus," Virnos said, "You had to get overzealous about this."

"I didn't write the rules, Virnos."

"I want my lawyer!" Dahlia said.

"Take 'em downtown." the human officer said.

"I demand to know on what charges I'm being detained." Vayne said, though he complied and got on the ground, seeing he wasn't getting any only made him angrier as he continued to talk.

"And I hope you c-sec boys like paycuts, because you can damn well bet illium's department of state and corporate justice will hear about this in a long and detailed report. Hope you're really good at your jobs when the shitstorm breaks and your higher ups look for scapegoats to fire to quite things down." he said as he held his hands behind his back, hearing the cuffs snap.

"You know that under the case of Martius Tarkin v. Citadel Security Service, this type of unwarrented racial profiling was a violation of due process and didn't go away with the udina amendments..." he said, continuing to spout legal talk as he was shoved into the police car, not putting up a physical fight in the least as he continued to verbally berate the officers.

To Eteon's silent embarrassment it turned out deck 4 was the one with high security. She had stood in the lift for a full ten seconds waiting for it to move before a neck-high optical scanner moving left and right caught her attention. Ah. That's why... Somehow, she had missed which one was which so she as carefully as she could to remain out of scanning range selected the fifth level before sliding away from the side of the lift with the scanner, taking her armor case with her. Well then... That never happened.

Fortunately, her second guess was correct and after wandering down a hall she found the armory. It wasn't very big, which looked odd to the Turian. All the service ships she had been on that weren't for civilian transport usually had a significant area set aside for the weaponry and armor. Usually the soldiers had two different sets of composite (or one composite one special variant) armor, then their weapons...

Then again Asari 'armor' is hardly what I would call difficult to pack. She stood there staring at one of the armor lockers but then shook her head before setting her case up in a gap between the last locker and the wall. When she did so she noticed just how drained she was from using biotics to haul the thing around... She probably should have just thrown it into the back of a car instead of walking it here... Actually... Am I the only one here? A few of the lockers were open and without any contents, she assumed for the new arrivals to the ship. She didn't think that they would put their stuff away quickly but... Who knows.  She thought to herself as she opened up her case and started arranging the things inside.

As long as they aren't all getting arrested for something stupid it's not a problem.

It had at least been twenty minutes since Valkara had an hour long lecture on medication by the crew's doctor. Although Valkara hadn't been on the ship for that long, she had already learnt the sections on the ship and even sated her data craving addiction by reading the other dossiers that would be joining Naleena's team. Valkara had her data pad reading a female turian named Eteon while making her way inside the armoury to place her carnifex in a secure locker. "You're Eteon right?" Valkara remarked to the turian woman, discretely examining her through Valkara's concealing hood.

After finishing the repairs on the Starstreamer, Irina put her tools away and locked them in place on the side of the bike, and she decided to take it out for a spin. "I've got an extra helmet, Zenon. You helped, so you deserve a ride."

"Sounds like fun, where are we going to go?" Zenon asked.

"How about we take her for a spin around the Citadel Ring for a warm up, and then take off on one of the Ward arms?" Irina asked, "Make sure you have your rebreather on, because the atmosphere only goes to 21 meters on the arms."

"But the bike is enclosed, right?" Zenon asked.

"Yes, but the seals aren't the best. The manufacturer recommends rebreathers." Irina said, "but I have to ask Septimus to do me a favor first. Hey, Septimus. Could be a sweetheart and have my guns sent over to the Janiri? We're gonna take this baby out for a spin."

Septimus gave her the "hi" sign.

Irina started the Starstreamer and it purred, the turbines started to whine and the mass effect generators kicked in. She took it slowly out the rear of the ship, and got clearance from the tower to enter the main traffic on the Citadel Ring.

"Okay, this is screwed. Speed limit 140 km/hr. 'Please lock with auto control. Set destination.' We're out for a joy ride. I didn't buy the auto-lock feature. Screw this speed limit crap, but we've got to keep her here to warm up the engine until I get a green light, Zenon. Then we'll take off to the arms." Irina said.

"This is fun." Zenon said.

"You haven't seen anything." Irina passed several vehicles, weaving in and out. and around the traffic jam. "There it is. Green light in 5..., 4..., 3..., 2...,1..., and here's our exit." Irina gunned it. 140 kph to 650 kph. The end of the Citadel arm was rapidly approaching. She had to slow down for the turn around, and return trip. Zenon was screaming in the back.

"Faster!" Zenon shouted.

Irina punched it, and this time they hit the top speed of 800 kph, but had to slow down in a hurry as the Citadel ring grew larger. Then sirens approached from the rear.

"Sh*t!" Irina said. "Wanna out run them?"

"Yeah!"

"But there's no where to go, here." Irina said. She found a spot on the ring to pull over, and opened the top of the bike.

A C-sec patrol car parked behind them and a human patrol officer got out, and walked over to her. "May I see your license and registration? Do you know why I pulled you over, Ma'am?" His Turian partner waited in the car.

"Why don't you tell me." Irina said.

"You were going 800 kph in a 200 kph zone. You don't have tags. And I'm still waiting for your license and registration." He said. He was about 5' 10" and in fairly good shape with dark hair.

"Well, I can explain, Sir, and it's easily checked. I just got off the Turian ship Audron. I've been on a long term assignment on an Asari frontier world as a security guard. I just got back into civilized space, and Zenon and I just fixed my bike and took her out for a spin. The Spectre in charge of the mission was Captain Deidrus Androkan of the Audron," Irina explained. "After this 'joy ride' I was going to put the bike in storage and head over to the CSV Janiri at gate C-1 where I am to begin another long mission with another Spectre, Naleena T'sarius. I'm sorry, but I've got no license or registration that is valid on the Citadel. We'll have to handle this through the Spectre herself."

The officer looked at Zenon who was grinning from ear to ear.

"You know, Ma'am, I've heard chatter on my radio tonight relating to a ship called the Janiri and T'sarius, so I'm inclined to believe you." the officer said, "I haven't seen a machine like this before. I've read about them. I've always wanted one myself. Who is the girl?"

"She's a friend. Her name is Zenon. I rescued her from that frontier world, and I can't say what it is because of a non-disclosure agreement. You, however, might have heard its name in the news recently. She's coming with us."

"Is that correct, Zenon?"

Zenon nodded.

"I'll tell you what Ms....

"Sloane."

"Ms. Sloane. I'm going to write you a citation to get a license, registration, and insurance before you take this bike out on the Citadel again. Take it to C-sec. I'll take Zenon to the Janiri. Let me call this in." The officer got on his radio and made the call to C-sec.

"It seems a few of your friends got into some trouble. I'm glad we didn't have any difficulty, Ms. Sloane. Have a nice evening," the officer said, "Come on Zenon."

"It's okay, Zenon." Irina said.

Zenon went with the officers. They kept their word and took her to the Janiri, she said she was with Irina Sloane, and the guards let her on board.

Irina rode her bike to C-sec, and checked in as instructed.

Eteon was fiddling with the Carthage when Valkara spoke so she only made a somewhat distracted affirmative nod. She didn't like how it lacked any collapsing configuration to make it slide more easily into the pistol slots in her case. Eventually she gave up and opened up the side of her Cabal armor and left it in the holster, unwilling to just leave it out.

Turning from her assortment of things she looked to the hooded Asari and blinked slowly. Well, she's not a Quarian or a Turian with that body structure. So a Human, Asari or Drell? Are there female drell? The silly question was held from her face only through the blessing of vacant glances. Regardless the lady's face was impossible to see, and thus just a little bit odd compared to the menagerie of aliens on her previous ship.

"Eteon Draiken, correct. Cabal and currently... A soldier, I guess." She tilted her head slightly, nodding back to her armor case. "And you?"

Anika shook her head. Looked over to Jess who was being approached by officer's. The best thing to do was to comply she supposed. But then again, the ship was right there. And those pea shooters C-Sec were carrying wouldn't give her to much trouble if..... No.... No. She didn't want her first visit to the Citadel to be one where she'd ended up in a holding cell. She activated her comm and sent a message. "Naleena? It's Anika. C-Sec seem to be arresting us. We're outside the ship at the moment. The gun's are out and we could use some clout. Their not looking though their databases and.... We've got some cop hero's in try hard mode....".

At that moment, as Morgan was escorted from the car and one was reaching in to pull Jess out of the back.... She woke up.

Jess's unfocused eye's opened and her head popped off the side of the sky car's interior as she stared around, only to see a man coming at her, one hand on the skycar's upholstry while the other was open and reaching for her.

"INTRUDER"! Jess cried out as she swiveled herself around. Tucking a foot up to her abdomen and plowing it hard into the man's face. It had the desired effect. The man, whoever he was, fell back holding his nose that was geysering with blood. It also had the undesired consequence of sending Jess's mind whirling. The drink and the nose.....

Wait... why was her nose bleeding? What the hell was going on?

"ANIKA"!!! Jess crawled forward and managed to get to the skycar's door where she fell out into the throng of people who seemed to be gathered. With guns. Lots and lots of guns. And ships! They were in a docking bay..... on..... the...... Citadel?

Oh grud she'd gone to the Citadel and gotten drunk off five amber's. The shame if anyone in the K&Q found out about this.... now then.

"Okay. I'm fine....". She said straightening up and looking around at everyone in eyesight. "This looks bad. And all I want to know is.... whose responsible for getting C-Sec all riled up"?

Morgan, Dahlia and Anika stared at her while an officer came forward. "You! Get your hands on your head and....".

"Ahhhh-ta-ta-ta-ta". Jess clucked pinching the bridge of her nose. "Naw oing a scwuball thang ill omeone ell's ee why by nobe's ike his". Tilting her head back she pulled out a tissue from her pack and dabbed the blood away. "Charlie O'rielly! Who bashed me in the face"?

"Um, Anika said rubbing the back of her neck. "That was.... me.... actually".

"What the...."?

"You were getting excited"!

"So it's wack a Jess day when I'm excited"?

"We nearly hit a cargo hauler"!

"Who was driving"?

"Me. But you....".

"Officer... There's your culprit"!

"JESS"!!!

One of the officer's came forward. and patted the other on the shoulder. "Look miss....".

"Captain! Captain Jess Stone and will someone get that man off the ground"! Jess pointed to the man she'd kicked holding his own bloody nose. "I think his nose is broken".

"And that's an offense in itself".

Jess straightened up. "Is it an offense for a woman to wake up and find an unknown man pawing at her like a drunken sailor on shore leave? Anika. Where are we"?

"Hmph. Outside the Jeniri".

Jess took a deep breath. "Okay I'm sorry I said you were the culprit but gun's everywhere... This isn't a good situation to be in. Did you call the Jeniri"?

"I called Naleena".

"Why"?

"She's a Spectre".

"And the Jeniri would have called Naleena and they'd know to send someone out for us.....". Plus they have GARDIAN laser's, she thought. You know.... Udina has more pull on the official level"!

One of the younger officer's had his Omni-tool out and was looking up records. He stopped and looked around nervously. "I don't know about this guys... The records are saying they might telling the truth"!

"Aaaw ain't you a sweetheart luv". Jess walked towards him which had several of the more veteren C-sec's moving their gun's towards her. "Ma'am...."!

"Captain". Jess corrected as she ignored them and came to a stop in front of the young one. "What's your name luv"?

"It's.... Esterban".

"Well officer Esterban. How about we go behind your car back there and you can take a statement".

"Well.....".

"C'mon luv. Am I a Captain or not"?

"The records say yes".

"And am I assigned to the Jeniri or was assigned to the Audron"?
