Jenus had to get back to attending guests. She left Iole in the dance area after nudging her towards Frank. Iole found the human hilarious and decided to dance just like him. Smiling inwardly, Jenus left her teammate there, letting know she’d cover for her. There was a cart loaded with used plates, cutlery and garbage. Jenus took the cart and headed for the elevator to the mess, down one level.
With the cart in tow, Jenus went to the kitchen, where Grag was hard at work preparing the desserts. “Humans, where do they get the ideas for these things? At least its got inter-species appeal.” The krogan was setting several tall, red and blue cups out.
Mira was also there, preparing the next batch to go up.
Jenus felt annoyed. “I’ll take those back up. Why don’t you help Grag, Mira?”
Mira stared at her. “When are you going to get over it?”
“Hey, I don’t know. Maybe when you stop putting others ahead of your teammates.”
“No arguing in my kitchen,” Grag ordered.
Mira put her head down a moment, to fix one of the trays, then looked up. “I should have responded when you were thrown to the floor. I’m sorry. But are you seriously mad at me for not going beyond that? What exactly do you expect me to do with the people we’re going to be fighting side by side with?”
“I’ll tell you what, Mira…I’ll ask Captain Jess Stone’s bodyguard, who has more of a crest than you”
Blue energy began to emanate from Mira.
“I said no fighting in my kitchen!” Grag said, as he picked up a large spoon. “Let me tell you how much it hurts when I put my full arm behind this.”
“It’s fine, Grag, “ Jenus said sardonically, “Nobody’s going to break out fighting here.” She turned to Mira, “I’ve got your back, even if you don’t have mine.” Jenus took a stack of trays that had been prepared by Mira and headed back to the elevator.

Naleena got a wicked look in her eye when she saw Anika dancing. She walked over to the commandos, removed her coat, and handed it to Iole. "Watch this for me. If anything gets on it, someone is getting lavatory duty."
"Uh, yes, Ma'am." Iole said. "The coat... it's expensive?"
"Very." Naleena said, and she went out onto the dance floor.
Unknown to the crew, and most of the team, Naleena was a professional dancer at clubs between contracts earlier in her life as part of her cover. This not so feminine acting Asari walked up to Anika and

Frank shuffled away from Anika without saying anything else.

"Don't think I didn't see you trying to copy my moves." Frank squinted at Iole. "Ditch that coat, and I'll show you how it's done."

Essul found himself gravitating towards the asari commando left holding a coat as he watched his commanding officer dance, looking from her to Iole curiously as he tilted his head in confusion. "So is this sort of thing normal?" essul asked, sounding more confused then anything else as he took another sip of his drink.

Tallis blocked Jess from the XO’s view as the salarian passed on his way back to the bridge. With an eye towards the cup, Tallis giggled. She pointed towards the color coded cups and plates. “Blue’s good. Blue’s good.” Tallis then put a finger towards her mouth and made a pretend gag. “Red’s bad. Red’s bad.”
Suddenly, Tallis seemed to become excited. “Tell me! Tell me,” she said. Tallis pointed to Jess, and made a bit of a swaggering motion with her arms. Nodding her head emphatically as if Jess understood, she smiled, then frowned as it became apparent Stone didn’t understand right away. Recovering almost instantly, Tallis made some sort of motion around her head as if she were wearing a hat, walked around in a circle dragging one foot on the floor, put a hand over one eye, smiled again, and pointed to Jess.
“Tell me. Tell me,” Tallis repeated.

"Normal?" Frank continued dancing, while speaking to Essul. "Not if I'm on the dance floor." He laughed, before stopping to rub his eyes, and blinked a few times. His vision was a bit fuzzy.
I need to lay down.
"I'm actually not feeling so well." He massaged his forehead. "Iole, it's been fun." He looked to her, and back to Essul. "If anyone needs me, I'll be in cabin 9." He squeezed his way out of the group, and returned to his quarters.

Frank tossed his hat away, and emptied his pockets on the table, before falling face first into his bed. He was out.

While Jess could not claim to be the most empathic of individual's, her time taking on people for her ship had led her to encounter a whole host of unique individual's that meeting Tallis, while surprising, was not out of her realm of experience. Communication seemed to be her problem. Probably not something that an Asari would find a problem given their ability to meld, but for her.....
She watched as Tallis mimed and held her hands up and away from her head, making motion's as if tracing her hands to conjour a shape, then dragging her leg..... which immediate history made Jess think back to the commando she'd shot. Before slapping a hand over her eye. At which point the element's came together and Jess's face fell into her open palm. "Alleged pirate.... Grud. Alleged..... word to the wise luv. There's no point being a pirate if you tell everyone". She looked up and wiggled her finger between the two of them. "Look, I'll tell. But could you tell everyone that I'm just a business woman? People call me a pirate because I'm good at what I do.....". Boarding a seizing being one of them, she thought to herself. "But if I were a pirate, like that Silver character who prowl's shipping everywhere, scourge of the space lanes! Word is she took two Batarian slaver ships once with nothing more than a shuttle and a comm channel. Then she freed all the slaves and took on the grateful ones to her crew. The rest she just gave the ships too. As it turns out slaves don't like their master's much and spaced them as Silver was set to leave. The modern day equivalent of walking the plank".
"Another tale is the time when Silver was strandard on an asteroid field. Marooned for all time by her rival, the infamous pirate Scarlett. You see Silver was trapped on that Asteroid for three nights and three days....". Jess's eye's brow furrowed as her eye's went to the ceiling. "If you count cycles on an asteroid...... Ahem. Anyway, Silver had to reduce her life support, it's said, and she managed to rig up a poor mans distress beacon and on the last day, when her life support was about to give out, a ship came. using what little power was left Silver blasted off towards it.... and found herself on a Earth Alliance frigate that was training N7's.... Silver got an honourary N designation that day for lasting as long as she did with the gear she had. Spent the rest of the trip up to her eyeball's on the Captains private stash while going over his log's and let me tell you.....". Jess was smiling at the memory remembering how deft his finger's had been before she caught herself. "....Yeah, well.... if you believe the stories that is".

Anika saw Naleena dance before her and joined her in her motions before slipping in from behind and pulling her close. Her hands pulling lightly at her hips.
"So, Spectre now huh? Does this mean the Assassin with a past is gone"? Anika brought her head forward and the scent of the woman before her caused her to clutch a little tighter. "Because if so, I could use some reacquainting. If your not busy with all the new duties".

Frank's brow wrinkled, as he rolled in his sleep. His medicine was reacting to some of the mysterious food from earlier.
"Tall... Tippy toes! Ha..."
"Wait, what are you... that's your sister... niiiiiiiice..."
"...can't be...contacts?"
"...just a friend... I dunno... do you think... "
"...ha... dinosaurs... shotguns."
Frank opened his eyes, and quickly sat up. He stared into the corridor from his bed.
What the f*ck?
Frank locked eyes with the space cow standing in the doorway. "What do you want?" It's gaze was focused, almost predatory.
He pulled one of his boots off. "You're freaking me out, cow. Get outta here!" He threw it as hard as he could. Upon impact, the cow liquefied, and was now a brown puddle on the floor.
He closed his eyes, and sighed. When he opened them, the puddle was gone.
That was creepy.
He sat over the edge of the bed, and buried his face in his palms for a few minutes. He looked up, and was face to face with the cow.
"Ahhhh!" He made a run for the door, and closed it behind him, before sliding to the floor.
Footsteps.
"Sh*t." The cow was standing at the other end of the corridor. Frank scrambled to his feet, and took off down the hall.

Iole was dancing around Frank one moment, and the next she watched him wander off talking about dinosaurs and shotguns. She laughed at first, from his weirdness and thinking he was joking. Then she stopped mid-step as he sort of stumbled away, mumbling. Is he all right? Iole was about to go check when she noticed Commander Selani make an appearance. None of Iole’s other teammates seemed to be nearby, so Iole went to make sure the Commander was greeted and taken care of.
Meanwhile, Tallis was listening to Jess with fascination. When Jess drifted off for a moment, smiling, Tallis felt herself drawn in, looking deep into the captain’s eyes. When Jess recovered, Tallis pulled back, examined Stone with curiosity, and then smiled herself.
Walking across the room at that moment was Jenus, bringing out the last of the dinner foods on trays. Both Jess and Tallis noticed she looked annoyed, though Jenus seemed to be oblivious to being observed. The elevator opened next, with Mira pushing a cart with tall red and blue glasses towards the table. She, too, looked upset.
As Mira got closer to the table with the cart, anyone human who was present recognized what was on it immediately. “Ice cream sundaes,” one of the human crew exclaimed, giving a name to the dessert that most of the non-human species had been wondering about.
Tallis slid next to Jess’ side and placed her arm through Stone’s as Mira was putting the desserts onto the table.
“La la la la,” Tallis said brightly. She gently but eagerly led Jess towards the table with the Sundays.

Iole came back for an item and heare Essul ask her his question.
"Normal?" Iole raised one brow. "I'm going to say...no. But I suppose it is normal around here."
The batarian was tall enough, like a number of the other specialists who had come aboard, that Iole noticed how far she had to lean back to look up at him. "You weren't on the bridge. Nice to meet you. By the way, I spied that knife. Batarian make?"

What does it want from me?
Frank slowly backed away from the cow, who was now wringing it's hands as it watched him. He blinked and it moved a few feet towards him.
Wait a minute.
He blinked again, and the cow appeared to move closer.
"The longer I close my eyes..." Frank opened his eyes wide "HA! If I don't close 'em, you can't move!" He ran down the hall, laughing maniacally all the way to the elevator.
-----------------------------------------------------
"Yeah, just the helmet." Frank took his helmet from the person covering for Septerax, and slid it on. "Thanks."
If it doesn't see me blink, maybe it won't move.
Frank tried it, just to see, and the cow appeared in the armory. Frank picked an empty crate and climbed inside.
Safe.
He fell back to sleep after a short time.

"Standard issue issue military personnel." Essul said as he tilted his head to the asari in respect, even though he wasn't smiling he still was having a pretty pleasent time. "It's a mandatory requirement in the hegemonic navy to cart a weapons on person at all times in case sudden attack. Though it seems the practice isn't as widespread outside our space..." he said noticed the last last armaments on the various guests. "Very interesting. .." he saud sounding fascinated before looked to her, "I apologize, I have yet to introduce myself. Essul Ran'perah. A pleasure to meet you."

Iole was about to answer but had to pause as she heard someone laughing maniacally, running away through the crowd. There was quiet for a moment, then the noise of the party started again.
"I...was that? Nevermind." Iole shook her head then focused on the batarian again. "Essul, nice to meet you too. I'm Iole, of the infamous chastised flying commando circus. The ones who blew the bottom of the train out. And had one of their comrades knock someone against a bulkhead. It isn't shaping up to be the best reputation, but we're working on improvements."
With a glance at the knife again, Iole went on. "I like it. The blade I mean. A little, well, it looks like it hurts. You know us commandos, though. Most asari are supposed to be dependent on biotics at close range, or unarmed combat, trying to put a bit of disance between themselves and whoever they're fighting. But...well not all of us are amazing biotics, despite what we like people to believe. Yours truly has a holdout for extreme close quarters shooting."
Iole studied the batarian. "Dessert's coming out. Have you ever had what humans call an ice cream sundae? They're actually pretty good."

"Train?" Essul asked sounding confused as he heard her go in introducing herself. How curious of a thing to be called, was it some asari code of reputation? Hearing her compliment though, essul gave a slow nod, "I know how it is to burn out from biotics. This knives said me more then once once I was close to crashing, as it were..." essul said, lifting his hand as a log blue shimmering glow surronded it breifly before extinguishing.
He looked at iole curiously as she brought brought human cuisine, "Whats in it?" He asked a bit unsure. Ice cream? As in icy cream? What What that even taste like? What would that even feel like eating?

"Well," Iole stepped over to the nearby table where Mira had just put out several blue tall glasses with spoons stuck in them. She took two, handing one to Essul, "Grag knows his stuff, and says its pretty much something anyone can enjoy, unless they have a poojark stuck up their ass, whatever that means."
The 'sundae' was filled with white-ish, frozen...dairy? That was topped by something bright white and foamy. Drizzled over the concoction was dark brown sauce that most sentient people of the galaxy knew was chocolate (one of the great exports of Earth). Ironically, the chocolate was warm. To top it off was a glistening red ball-like berry.
Iole used the long spoon to get most of each part of the sundae on it. "The idea is to eat it slowly, otherwise you get something called 'brain freeze' which humans seem to despise. I don't think your brain actually freezes, but I saw Grag get it while he was testing one and he cursed up a storm. You can't eat it too slowly, though, or it melts and makes a mess. And you aren't supposed to eat the little red ball which is called a 'cherry', for whatever reason. Nobody will tell me why." She pulled the spoon close to her mouth, pausing to study it for one last time, before taking a bite while experiencing the taste.
Briefly she closed her eyes, "It's really good..."

Naleena took Anika's hand after they'd grabbed a couple of sundaes fromt the dessert tray. "I think we can steal a few moments before the ship docks. We'll be making an atmospheric entry and landing at the military base," she checked her omni-tool, "In approximately one hour. Let's go up to my quarters."

Jess followed Tallis to the table where she scooped up a sunday from the blue table. Spotting Anika with Naleena she fought down a smile and turned to her seeming escort. "So luv....". She began as she scooped up some sunday and tried it.... The ice cream hit her tongue like a cool, soothing balm that lit off her taste buds causing her to swallow involuntarily as her eye's widened. "..... Dang". Jes exclaimed, taking the spoon in her bowl hand and banged her chest. "That's..... You gotta try this"! Jess scooped up another and held it out to Tallis.

Anika raised an eyebrow. "Sneaking off to the Spectre's quarter's mid party? Bold move. Stay Nally. These people.... they need to see you here. They need to know that your one of them. For now at least". She smiled impishly. "I mean what could be so interesting in your quarter's that you need me for a whole hour"?

Tallis had a rather attractive set of full lips, so when she wrapped them and her tongue around the spoonful of delicious, creamy desert, it was fairly sensual. She lowered her eyelids with relish, enjoying the treat. After Tallis swallowed, she lit up, hopping her brows a few times in knowing delight.
With a few swift motions, Tallis removed her serving gloves, and pushed a rogue drip of ice cream back into her mouth with her thumb. Elated, Tallis grabbed her own tall blue cup and hesitated not one moment in shoving a huge, cold spoonful of sundae right into her mouth. She rolled her eyes in pleasure once again, and smiled, right before her brows furrowed in confusion.
Suddenly, Tallis put one hand to her forehead and whimpered. Then she put the cup down on the table, added her other hand to her mouth, and started stomping around in place…
"Cold! Cold!"

"A test of timing involving in eating a confection. How strange..." Essul said as he lightly pushed off the red fruit garnish to enjoy the strange almost clashing colors of the ice cream. White and black with white atop, 'I wonder what the colors are supposed to symbolize...' he thought as he brought a spoonful up and plopped some into his mouth hesitantly. He'd never really gotten into human cuisine, human drugs sure with his cigarettes, but not human cuisine.
His eyes went wide as he brought a hand up to his mouth, expression undeterminable as he swallowed the frozen dairy. "It's so cold..." he said, his metallic teeth not doing much help as his whole mouth cooled off. He wasn't used to eating something cold, and the only thing he'd ever ingested cold were drinks. Not this strange, viscous, half solid half liquid concoction, and yet,
"It's so good..." he said, sounding somewhat in pain as he said it, indeed it was. It was a strange mix of different types of sweetness all clashing and complimenting one another at the same time, balancing each others flavors and textures well. He took another spoonful, this time prepared for the cold shock as he ate more, enjoying the taste.
Vayne meanwhile scooped up the cherry on top of his sunday along with some whip cream, shooting it into his open mouth as he squashed the fruit with one side of his teeth, hearing a satisfying crunch as he swallowed nodded, "Not bad..." he said as he took a large scoop and plopped it into his mouth, enjoying the sensation of it melting away and seemingly immune to brain freezes.

"Ooooh. Head cold". Jess said setting her's down and putting ehr arms around Tallis. "C'mon luv. You know, to much Ice cream can do that right? Here. Have a seat". Irina moved over to speak with Jenus again. "Hey would you check out Tallis and Anne Bonney?"
"Who?" Jenus asked.
"The pirate," Irina replied, "Maybe this party wasn't such a bad idea. Look, I know you're still upset about Mira not having your back in the discussion, and about a lot of things. Your commander's a hard ass. I'd rather not be visiting you in the brig. So maybe everyone should let what happened on Duellos die. Tallis got the worst of it, and she seems to have gotten past it."
"Yeah, maybe you're right." Jenus said, "But I can't let this thing just fester. You sweep this sh*t under the rug and it just creates friction. What do you think?"
Irina stirred her sundae. "Well, there are two ways. You can do it aggressively and meet the pirate captain in the training room, which in the state things are in between the two of you at the moment I really don't think would solve anything. Or, you could do the same thing as Tallis, and go over and offer your hand."
"No f***in' way." Jenus whispered.
"Jenus, listen to me." Irina said, "I'm speaking to you as your friend, now. I've been a squad leader. I'm not saying don't meet her in the training room - you can but under different terms than now. You know you were wrong up there on the fore deck, and now that's causing friction between you and your squad leader. Commando up and admit you were wrong."
Irina had just hit her where it hurt. She called out her commando pride. Jenus knew she was in the wrong, and it was causing all sorts of trouble. "F*ck! Alright. Do you have my back?"
"If it goes south, I've got your back." Irina said, "Just don't cop an attitude."
Just don't cop an attitude. Now she sounds like Textbrain. But she says she has my back. Okay, let's do this. Jenus took a deep breath, and she set down her dessert and walked over to Jess. Irina shadowed her a bit away but was nearby just in case. The room got quiet.
"Captain Stone, I... was wrong. I shouldn't have shoved you on the foredeck. I was angry for what you did to Tallis. But if she can make peace, I should be able to make peace," Jenus said, and she glanced over at Irina who nodded. She extended her hand. "No hard feelings."

Eteon;
A team of Armigers is en route to Illium, and their paths will intersect with your own on-planet. They will not interact with any of the crew but you, and are not to converse with Jess Stone, Morgan, Naleena or any undocumented member of your crew. They are picking up Sun's equipment for an operation on the Human colony of Horizon. You are to remain with Naleena however one of the Turians will hand off a Binary.
Do with it what you will.
Androkan.
The Cabal shook her head as she looked over the contents of the message again. It was a timed message and not sent through buoys so that it wouldn't be detected by censors. She deleted it and overwrote the dynamic memory with meaningless Palaven arms' coda from her codex. She wanted to think of what the hell a binary was but since hearing distant screams and general joviality she'd leave that to later.

Tallis enjoyed the warmth of another hand on her forehead. She was sticking out her tongue, which stood out vanilla ice cream white against her blue skin, when Jenus had come over to offer her hand and apologized to Jess. Tallis clapped and said, “Wonderdul! Wonderdul!” a bit of numbness affecting her speech.
Jenus peered down at Tallis while holding out her hand to Jess and said, “I see your leg is looking better from that grappling hook shot, Tallis.” She curled a smile until she spotted Mira, who happened to pass nearby, clearing out some trash as the party was coming to a close.
Uh oh, Tallis thought. But she didn’t say it because if she did, she’d have to say it twice.
Losing her smile, Jenus glared at Mira. “I was going to compliment you on your bodyguard, Captain Stone,” Jenus remarked with an edge in her voice while looking at Mira, “Since she actually bothered to protect the person she was supposed to, unlike some people.”
Ordinarily patient, Mira was tested. She dropped the trash into a nearby bin roughly and came over to the group. “Tallis, Captain Stone. Let me assure you the atmosphere here is meant to alleviate issues despite some people’s insistence in exacerbating them.” Mira’s expression was hard as she faced Jenus.
Iole entered the scene, having noticed her companions talking to Jess and wanting to extend her own thanks and apology to the pirate captain, ignorant of the building tension. “Hey team! Captain Stone, I’m Iole. I hope it isn’t too late to say I’m sorry for the part I played in that whole train debacle, setting the charges. They were directional, and I didn’t intend for anyone to get hurt, though I know it doesn’t matter and the risks…well I’m really glad nobody was permanently hurt. Especially since…”
“Never mind that,” Jenus said, “Mira here was the one who gave the order to set the charges. Unless our ‘leader’ here is now denying she has responsibility for that too.”
“Are you serious?” Mira said, exasperated. “Jenus, in what world does anybody put up with what you’re saying?”
Iole’s golden flecked brow crumbled in worry and her matching golden eyes receded. “Uh oh.”
“I don’t know, Mira,” Jenus went on, “In a world where there’s some give back for sticking up for the people on your team? How do you think Iole and Tallis here feel since you decided to throw me under the skycar? I’m sorry Captain Stone; this isn’t about you and it isn’t to make an excuse for myself. It’s more about that you’ve got better people watching your back.”
Tallis said, “Hey! Hey…”
Iole protested, putting out her hands to try and calm things down, “No! No, no, no, no this isn’t about that Jenus. This is all a misunderstanding going back to when we blew the bottom of the train out because of our orders.”
“Hey, you know who’s the best behaved person here right now?” Jenus asked. “Captain Stone. How does that make you feel, Mira?”
Mira was silent, but there was a glowing blue hue that could faintly be seen shimmering around her.
