Hey
My problem is the following: While I was playing with ME1, I suddenly got a blue screen, the whole computer crashed. I am used to it, it does it one in a day or two. But when I loaded back the game, I found that all of my comfigurations are reseted - moreover, all of my achievements vanished! Only my saved games survived it Is there any way to restore this?
Thanks for the answer in advance.
Can I get deleted data back after a crash? (ME1)

Your specific achievements file (Profile.MassEffectProfile in My Documents\\Bioware\\Mass Effect\\Save) is probably corrupted, for which I know no cure. I recommend deleting that file, thereby forcing ME to generate a new one the next time it runs, lest things get weirder and more corrupted from here.
To get your achievements back, you might want to check out this thread on the old forums. Or you could ask to copy someone's profile file.

... um... shouldn't you be concerned about the BSoD? Thats like having your check engine light on but ignoring it saying oh, it happens every now and then.

Well it happens since I bought this computer (almost two years ago) - first I thought its becouse I use 4gb ram+video card memory on a 32bit system, and that causes it. But later when I installed a 64bit system it continued to happen. Got the latest bios + drivers, so I don't know what is the problem - sadly, I'm not an IT expert. Advices, of course, are very welcome

BSoDs generally name a specific a file. Does it tend to give a specific name, like "atievv.dll" or something? If it's consistently the same file (and it's not a ME file) you can usually google it and trace it down pretty quickly. I used to have BSoD problems but they're completely gone once I traced it to my video card manufacturer's custom driver add-ons and uninstalled them.

Thanks for the advice, I'll try to check it next time I get it. What I remember is that its recommending me to install the newest bios/software drivers, then starts memory dumping - when it reaches 100 the system restarts.
