Oooh, finally figure out this new layout and already missed a few things.

Bri...I know what you are going through. Read a book called The 36 Hour Day...when my grandmother had Alzheimer's it helped a lot with understanding what she was going through.

 

Me...some of you might know this, but over the past year I wrote a trilogy based on swtor and wow, a crossover. So far it's been kinda successful and had a lot of reader's. I had enough of a response that I am writing a 4th one based on one of the characters I created. I always wanted to write a book, never thought that when I got down to it I would have a story that spanned 317k words and 1019 pages...and writing more. Character development was fun as I tried to create all new and original characters for the storyline.

 

And glad to be back. I missed this group. :-)

I also have another addition to my family - a cat sancutuary near me had a fire, and I fostered one of the cats.  I couldn't give her back - she is the little black one on the rt.  Took her about 3 weeks to come out from under the bed.

16 gigs DDR3

660 GTX (I was going to get one of the budget 700 series, but all the reviews said the 660 was better performance)

I love building computers. I want to try to sleeve my cables next and add a water cooling loop

I'm not brave enough for liquid cooling, that kind of thing is asking for my usual run with Murphy's Law to rear its ugly head. 

 

Oh and this time I shelled out for a modular PSU. No more having to figure out where to stuff all those spare tentacles in my case.

I just wanted to say I am happy to see a bunch of old faces that I know and love and missed! I mean I miss the giant steam room chats and the links to DA kink memes and dress up games and pictures of cats and torturing poor Rage and Cebo. I really missed a bunch of y'all! And hope we can show off our Inquisitors to each other with DA:I. I just hope we can have fun again and post a bunch of naked men.

Reika, thanks. Writing that story was one of those times where I had an idea, started it, stopped because I hit a block, had a spark of interest that gave me a whole new direction, and then before I knew it I had mapped out this huge storyline and characters than completely compelled me to finish it. Somes days I would write a paragraph or two and others I would start and before I knew it I had written 20k to 30k words in one sitting. This 4th story is centered around perhaps my favorite character from the trilogy...a woman who is 1/2 high elf and 1/2 sith pureblood. In the 2nd book she was a primary antagonist, but redeemed and a primary protagonist in the 3rd. I guess a lot of my readers liked her too because a lot wanted something about her background before we see her in the second book, and Born of Two Worlds is that eploration. I'm still in awe that so many like it (it's all up at fanfiction) and follow it. I never expected near the following that I have especially since the crossover of swtor and wow is not a commonly thought of kind of crossover.

That actually sounds like a really cool crossover, Rage, when I'm done with the current book I'm on, I'll check it out.

 

I'm still poking away at Forsworn. Like you said, sometimes it's just a sentence here or there, or a paragraph.On a good day I'll get more.

 

Halfway through the computer build, it's been scarily easy to put together. Or maybe the computer gods were satisfied with the blood, sweat and cursing I spent getting the ****** heatsink into place.

Whew, new machine is built and running!

 

Unfortunately, I didn't realize how different the hardware was from the old machine, so when I tried to stick my previous C drive in, Windows curled up into a fetal position with its back to the world. After much poking and prodding, I ended up getting another HD, putting on a fresh Windows install. Thankfully I found out that 1. My data drive was just fine and 2. I was able to use a drive port on the old drive and get everything off of there.

 

Now it's just a matter of reinstalling everything...

Agreed!  I do miss all of you and all the fun shenanigans.  But it's nice to know that, even when things have quieted down, we still have this space to gather.  And who's to say that it's going to stay quiet

Not too much new with me. AJ is going to be 2 in a few months, the time really flies by. And we got a new puppy in January, now I have two toddlers.

Hiya Yankee!  Yeah, this new format is kinda wonky.

 

Been working on cover art for my book, gonna take some time but I have the idea in mind for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.  after a week off for March Madness returned to the computer to write more. I'm starting the new book with a character quote or tagline. Started the newest chapter with this:

 

For the longest time I tried to deny it…that I was sith…but really those denials never held any conviction. Outwardly I look like a quel’dorei, but even to this day when I look in a mirror all I see is a red face staring back at me.
