1. What the hell is a "Plantiff?"

2. What the hell is a "Yoai" game?

3. No Twerking.

1: Plantiff was a old BSN member who was always aggressive and would flame you and call you a bigot if you disagreeded with him. Mockings behavior matches Plantiff to the tea, along with the SRIV story.

2:yaoi is M/M

3:I agree with this.

So would now be a bad time to bring up Cullen and why I want him to be a LI?

You know how I keep talking about immersion? I want the characters to be a bit more defined a bit less like silly putty for me to sculpt to my whims.

Okay, I agree.  But why can't they all be bisexual again?  That's the part that I'm not getting.

I get your two arguments, but I'm not seeing how they are connected.

For me, playersexuality (although I'm still not convinced that we've actually seen true playersexuality yet), isn't the right way to go to make sure that gay and lesbian players get multiple romance options.  I'd rather them expand some resources and add an LI for each gender.

That's what I'm hoping for as well, though I personally want the romances to be coherent and matter to the story on a quality level and if they can do that while adding romances for everyone, I will applaud them, though again - realistically, I don't expect much outside of it being there because it can be (which is not a bad thing), I just personally prefer stories that have romances intertwining with the plot.

1. Plantiff is when lower your back and protrude your butt upward then shake it violently.

2. When a man loves another man very much, they start to violently $%^#@ and @3$%@@ and then they @#$%@ until they @#$%#@. Basic plot for yaoi

3. I'll punch the next person posting a Miley's gif.

I'm not saying the game design team doesn't have a lot of different kinds of people working on it.

However, what the writing team does for the game is as essential as everyone else you've mentioned.

Have you also noticed they are the only ones who BTW do come onto the forums to discuss things with fans/players?

This is a really great post and you bring up some really nice points.  For me, playersexuality (although I'm still not convinced that we've actually seen true playersexuality yet), isn't the right way to go to make sure that gay and lesbian players get multiple romance options.  I'd rather them expand some resources and add an LI for each gender.

You're definitely not alone in feeling that way – I've heard some people say that they prefer an approach with a variety of set sexualities for the romanceable characters because they want to see their own sexual orientation explicitly represented among the romanceable characters, and I definitely have no problem with people preferring that.

A plaintiff is the prosecuting party in a legal case. The one who lays charges against the defendant.

Yaoi is a genre of japanese animation that features same-sex romance between typically effeminate male characters. Think twinks. "Bara" is the equivalent for characters who fit a more "masculine" archetype. Think bears.

Lacks diversity. I want straight and gay characters included as well.

After being happy and hopeful when it looked like Anders was going to be in DA2, I no longer hold any preconceived notions about past characters, especially when it comes to romance.  I feel for Cullen's fans, but I feel like telling them to act cool when the devs could be looking, because we all know they want them to cry...

40 pages? Nice to know you've still got it, BF.

As for the topic, I dislike anything in the game being tied to some unrelated, emphasis on unrelated, aspect of the character.

Fenris being gay because Hawke is male, while being straight when Hawke is female, is a bad idea, in my opinion.

Yeah, I do actually hate that some of the romances don't have much to do with the plot.  Zevran and Fenris were the worst offenders for this.  They are completely unrelated to the main story, especially Fenris.  Leliana in DA: O was too, but given her expanded role post game, perhaps she's different.

I think that the others are all pretty close to the plot.  Morrigan and Alistair are obvious.  So are Merrill, Anders, and Isabela.  I much prefer them to be plot related.

Makes sense. The majority of this forum discusses narrative more than the other game elements. That is not me being condescending.

I agree, and while the romance content is a degree of fanservice Bioware shouldn't treat it as such

Yeah, I am NOT looking forward to seeing the reaction on BSN if Cullen is revealed to be bisexual in DA: I.  The "playersexual haters" will lose their minds.
