Wait what? What's that?
I thought we were talking about the crossbow Bianca...

Oh my, Bianca. ![]()
Honestly i rather prefer Varric stay single and fall in love with someone that's not the PC.
Varric hits too many bro notes for me to see him as an LI.
Bianca being alive and returning to Varric sounds better imo ![]()
Oh that would be sweet.
But if she's dead I'd rather he move on than constantly mooning over her. You're not insulting someone's memory but moving on (not directed towards Ares).

People were talking as if Varic had sexual tension with his crossbow.
Which is ridiculous if you actually know the story behind the crossbow, and why it's named bianca.
It's a running gag...it's even in DA2. ![]()
Even VARRIC plays on it.
Even though I romanced Isabela with ladyHawke (who's gay as hell) and I didn't had problems with their flirty dialogues, i totally feel you.
I.e. ladyShepard's interactions with Vega and Jacob. It's like she forgot she's gay and in a relationship.
Vega didn't bother me as much as Jacob though.
It's probably just me and the fact that Isabela is my favourite, but I see her flirting as more playful. She would probably flirt twice as much with someone who isn't interested. I can see why other people might not see it that way though. I can't remember with Jacob, but I know Vega was annoying as hell since one of the first things I did in ME3 was reaffirm Shepard and Liara's relationship and iirc he came on pretty strong. Been a while since I played it though.

LOL. Not me though. ![]()

The way Shepard talked to Jacod, was so ooc and flirty. She looked and sounded like she was interested in him. Ew. Be glad you don't remember.

Vega's flirtations were harmless. FShep has to practically rape him in Citadel just to get him to sleep with her.

I agree, talking to Jacob was a visual and auditive nightmare. At least my FemShip didn't lie down on a table and purred while talking to Vega.

It's terrible but this made me lmao hard.
But you can tell how desperate poor femshep was for new D
poor thing.
Sexuality ruins a character?
Oh, absolutely. I mean remember how cool Garrus and Tali were before they became potential love interests, and how they were utterly, completely different after that and not only not as cool, but nothing like their old selves?
No, wait ...
... that only happened on Planet Crack.
Tali's romance seriously ruined her for me until ME3. But it was less because of her wanting Shepard and more to do with the stupidity of "Oh sure let's bang despite the fact that I can DIE from it or at the least get sick before a mission where I'll need all my wits about me and be in top shape. Nah clearly the D is more important." Thank god she didn't put a Liara and hold an eternal torch for Shepard. That'd pissed me off.
Her being with Garrus was cute though.
(Honestly though yeah the hypocrisy is hilarious. It's okay for them to suddenly want the PC as long as it's not both genders! That's going too far).
Uh, why not? Along with my other suggestions, it's just one more way to bring up a character's trait without making it a big deal within the game world.
Why do you need to know? Why does it matter? Why is it so important for you to know?

I know, it was just too sad to watch. lol! All straight FShep had was post coup and Dextro d**k. I don't blame her for trying to get some Latin love. Sadly James looked like he wanted to run out the room the next morning.
Anders comes on a lot stronger than Isabela. Odd, given their personalities. While she is basically flirting with Hawke, Anders comes off as frankly a bit creepy. Especially since this can happen very soon after he kills Karl.
You also get rivalry points for turning him down which, while not a big deal in the long run, the amount you gain when measured against other opportunities to rival him makes it seem rather odd that he takes rejection so seriously.
Doesn't she molest Hawke though? That's a lot stronger then Anders complimenting you imo.

Saw it on you tube and it was so cringe worthy.... Poor Vegalovers. They wanted a chance with him and got... this.
So what you're saying is gameplay and story segregation doesn't exist. LOL
That is exactly what I am saying. It cannot exist without breaking roleplaying.

She doesn't molest. Just gets REALLY into personal space. But it's only for like a second so whateves. She's not an Asari all touchy feely and crap and for some reason there's no GTFO choice anywhere to be found.

She couldn't even get the Dextro D if she didn't get it in ME2 either
and that jerkoff Jacob ditches her for that baby trapping ho. Then you got Kaidan who femshep may or may not want to throw off a cliff. And that BS tease with Joker and him going after tin ******. Poor FemShep got so not screwed in ME3.

It just looked she touched Hawke's...y'know.
XD
Nah I doubt she actually did. At least I don't think BW wouldn't allow my PC to react to that...I'd hope so...
Correct me if I'm wrong but it sounds as though you are saying the player is deciding/changing the sexuality of the character. I can't see how that is remotely possible. The only way to decide/change something is for it to have already existed as one set thing.
That's essentially what playersexuality is: you pick a gender for your PC, and the LIs become whatever fits to accommodate your romance with them for that particular playthrough, and, to varying degress, that's the impression that DA2's romance mechanic gave me and others. Feel free to disagree, though.
Why do you need to know? Why does it matter? Why is it so important for you to know?
You can read all my previous posts if you want elaboration, but for me, it comes down to this: it matters cuz BW brings up the characters' sexuality through the romances, but then waffles on it and turns that part of the characters into an artificial gameplay mechanic that appears to change from playthrough to playthrough for the sake of player inclusiveness. It damages my ability to believe those characters and my immersion in their parts of the story. If BW wants their characters to be bi, gay or whatever, they really ought to commit to it consistently, or they shouldn't bring it up all, in which case I don't need to know.

So much for that roleplaying then, because it exists. See Jedi Academy (just an example off the top of my head).

How do you make decisions on behalf of your character if the set of rules that governs those decisions changes from moment to moment?
