Are you sure about that? I didn't think a Rod of Fire required magic.

We'll have to agree to disagree until I can read that scene again.
Sorry. But I read it many time when I saw the scene.

Bioware could add Celene into the party if they want to easily enough. Wasn't one of the rumors at the end of Asunder that Celene was killed? They could just make it so that everyone thinks she died and she has to work to get her throne back and the Inquisitor can help her do so.

....What?
The first chapter points out that around the same time around Asunder being that the first chapter covers why the divide spoke out in the ball in asunder the way she did. And the fact that the book is covering the elven uprising show how much it's and asuder's story will cross paths. It may not be detailed down down to the day but it clear, from chapter 1, it's starting a bit earlier than Asunder and happening at the same time.
The first chapter? You say that like the whole thing was posted. Where is it?

Amozon and tor's web site. In the very conversation the empress has with Liliana.

Weekes confirmed that it takes place at about the same time as Asunder.Unless I've missed it, I haven't seen any lengthy previews that could reveal exactly where the entire book takes place.

The only magic not know is which hedgemages. Regular mages don't have that ability unless it's blood magic. This is lore.
The lore changes all the time. It's even contradictory in places. This is fact.

Wrong.
Contradiction #1:
In Origins, Adralla (re: the Litany of Adralla) is identified in two completely different ways. The codex identifies her as a reformed Tevinter mage. But an NPC (Wynne) tells you Adralla was a bard in service to the White Divine who created the Litany in collaboration with the templars.

While it would be nice to have Briala as a companion, she just doesn't seem to be a "follower-type". From the preview, I saw Briala as someone that prefers to stay in the shadows than fight. Calm, shrewd and above all, quiet. While Empress Celene was trained as a Bard (which seems to imply that she could fight), Briala doesn't seem to give off the same vibe. But all of this speculation is from one chapter. Who knows. Empress Celene prefers diplomacy over direct confrontation and since Briala grew up with her, her belief could have been passed down to her handmaiden.

Get the dialogue editor and see for yourself. I don't think the entire DA:O transcript is online, so it's impossible to link to.
You could ask someone to quote the relevant text, if you trust them, but don't expect me to because the game isn't installed on my new computer.

Finding it with dialogue editor do not validate it. There many lines in the game that are unused and cut from the story(Like telling the templars Morrigan is an apostate). It's only valid if it's said in game. So please say when it was said or link to where it was said.

It's said ingame during Broken Circle after you acquire Wynne in the Tower and you ask her about Adralla. So you can confirm it by replaying that part of the game.

I don't see on mention of this from Wynne.
When the warden meets Owain the tranquil mage who runs the stock room, he will say that Niall and some other mages came and got the Litany of Adralla. Wynne replies something like "blood magic, I was afraid this would happen" there is further dialogue, but if you speak to Wynne again, there is an option to ask about the Litany where she says about Adralla being a bard in the service of Divine Clemence.

1. Point to one mage in da that uses a glamor spell.
2. The only mages that were should to hold back age was the baroness and she was a blood mage.
3. Point to one school of circle mage that can do that effect.
Magic in da is done through cause and effect it does not "just happen".
I never said it was impossible to change looks with magic. I just said you have to use blood magic or use an unknown form of hedgemagic to do so.
Bolded part. I have no clue what school of magic this is. But small spells used only for looks do exist in the lore of the game.
"Codex Entry: Extracurricular Studies: If space is your excuse, I will surrender my quarters. If it is about money, I will hire the appropriate people. I will not graduate another student ignorant of weapons that any ditch-digger can shove into his ribs. We teach them to append ridiculous glamours on parade arms, but they don't know simple steel. That is criminal."
The game isn't going to add in random glamor spells just to show you that they're part of the world. Mages have no spells that aren't used in combat because it'd be a waste of programming energy.

I was not referring to in game spells. Just spell working with story, which also included the book. And that so called glamour does not explain what it is.
I never said they were no glamour spells, just none that change looks drastically like changing hair color. Hair length can be change with creation magic. And Alchemy can make produce that can effect the skin. But nothing so drastic.

Don't forget the Warden's ritual is supposed to be a secret too, but somehow Queen Anora knows about it.
