As we all know for those who got the DLC of Sebastian Vael, at the end of DA2 you are faced with the option of either killing Anders or sparing him which results in a an angry disapproval and leave from Sebastian who declares he will avenge the destruction of the Chantry. So I'm wondering if that option was chosen, will Bioware have Sebastian return in Inquisition to claim his vengeance?
Return of Sebastian?

I hope so, so I can roflpwn him. Preachy religious guys irk me.
Though I don't know if it'd fit in the story, because we're not in Kirkwall or playing Hawke anymore.

Well, if we go to the Free Marshes he could be the Prince of Starkhaven and thus someone we'd have to interact with.

Hmm Rainbow Kitty you do have a point about the story not being in Kirkwall anymore but I mean the DA2 ending with Sebastian left such a cliff hanger that I would love for it to be seen in action or maybe I should just read or write a fanfic about it
XD but along with what Hanako said what if Starkhaven is a city you are able to travel to and interract in Inquisition ? I think they would need to explain what happened then!

Cameo at best I think. Will we even go to Starkhaven in DAI?

It's the biggest city in the Free Marches.
Nevarra was once a part of free marches and its biggest city, It outgrew its peers in every single aspect and became independent. Starkhaven is now the biggest city in a dump that no one cares about.

That its the biggest city of free marches? Yes it is. But how strong is Free marches exactly? Kirkwall is kinda lost, not to mention all cities in free marches are independent. Hence the term "dump" was used to describe all of free marches not just Starkhaven.

You can fool these people, but I know the real reason you have such a burning hatred for Starkhaven.

I'm under the impression we are going to the Free Marches in the game, and it would definitely be disappointing if it wasn't mentioned. He stands there screaming at you while you're trying to decide Anders fate, saying he will not just come after Hawke but flat out massacre all of Kirkwall if you don't kill Anders (which is really sad given the lack of character progression it represents imo). But, half of people prolly killed Anders so Sebastian can't be having his own sad little war on the already ravaged city of Kirkwall, since that doesn't fit with a lot of playthroughs. More likely Sebastian can't get support to actually get the crown back, and we see him angry/dejected in a tavern somewhere like exiled Alistair-or maybe trying to rally additional support somewhere, like Nevarra or Fereldan. Somehow he doesn't have the resources to follow through I'd bet.

Burning hatred? lmao. I hear it has nice scenery so I have no reason to hate there but:
"Marchers were once known for raiding the northern seaboard of Ferelden. Nevarra started out as a member of the Free Marches, but has expanded in size and power far beyond its former peers.
The Marches were once part of the Tevinter Imperium, evidence of which is found in the architecture of cities - high buildings built almost all in white stone.
The region seems poorer and less organized than Ferelden: the interiors of buildings are very rustic and gangs of brigands abound (some taking over entire neighborhoods, at least by night)."
"The Free Marches have no central government, no king and no capital, making the whole region difficult to protect and its economy disparate. Each city is self-governing and wary of intrusions by its neighbours, frequently leading to tensions between them as they jocky and vie for power. The government of each state also varies, the sea-port of Kirkwall, for example, is officially governed by a singular ruler in the form of the Viscount, but real political authority rests in the heads of the local chapter of The Templar Order.
During times of crisis, the most powerful merchants, generals and rulers of the Free Marches can convene to deal with the issue, similar to the Landsmeet of Ferelden."
AKA weak and pathetic.

I hope we see Sebastian again some day, but it's a shame that we won't be playing Hawke when we do. (My 'canon' Hawke was rivalry romancing him and then spared Anders. So, uh, that didn't work out too well. A pity I'll never get to see the end of that particular lover's quarrel.)

Don't forget that he relates to Starkhaven only if one of these requirements were met: you rival him and/or you spare Anders. So there's still at least 25% chance, that he might be a brother in some Maker's forsaken Chantry.

I can usually find something about companions to relate to, but I had a difficult time with Sebastian. I don't mind seeing him though. Especially if there is a joke about you know what.
Vivienne: What is that?
Sebastian: Pardon me?
Cassandra: Maker. It's Andraste.
Varric: Leader of armies. Liberator of slaves. Blocker of *ahem* crotches.
Sebastian: My father had this armor commissioned when..
Vivienne: He went blind?
Sebastian: No.

It could be funny to see him again. That said as my Inquisitor is going to be a qunari mage that will fry anyone for suggesting she be put in a circle, if she's able, I don't believe they'd get along. Which is why I say it'd be funny.

I dont think you could influence him that much, Id like to see him again. he was probably the most different companion out of Anyone you had in 2. I liked his banter with Fenris. I hope Varric runs into everyone still around.

Not necessarily, you wouldn't have to bend the narrative much to make room for a reason a friended Sebastian might return to Starkhaven.
Anyway, I hope he does. I have one world state where my Viscount Hawke marries Sebastian, so I'm really hoping this might actually have and effect, even if a litle one. Besides, I liked Sebastian.
