Leliana is probably the most popular romance because a) the average player is a straight male who b ) doesn't want to romance abrasive Morrigan - leaving Leliana as the most tolerable choice. She wins the popularity race for being the least controversial of 2 options.

I found not romancing Leliana to be almost impossible, whether I liked it or not.

Same here. Nearly every playthrough come the battle for Denerim she's miffed I'm marrying Alistair or Anora.
L: Do you love the queen?
Lord Cousland: I might learn to. Why?
L: But what about us?
LC:..."us"?

I can't really hate anyone in DAO except Wynne.
Morrigan might be more popular if she simply LET YOU PLAY THE GAME. lol. There's abrasive, and then there's ridiculing just about every sidequest you do. It becomes immediately apparent if you keep her with you on Lothering and Redcliffe. If she had her way, you'd travel in a straight line to Loghain and the Archdemon.

It is actually. I expect a good 40 or 50 hours out of an RPG. Morrigan's version wouldn't be half that. ![]()

Hi everyone. Let's try to get this thread back on to the original topic so it can stay open. Thank you.

As Clockwork_Wings mentioned, I hope that if Sebastian is railroaded into returning to Starkhaven regardless of your choices, that how you treated him has an impact. In his banters with Aveline it's implied that if rivaled he becomes a more competent ruler.

Sebastian is another character, similar to Tallis and Corpheus that I dislike despite having only seen them in videos on YouTube

Good point.
Better hope a pride demon doesn't get hold of 'im.

I was pretty neutral about Sebastian until the end, at which point he became a comic relief. Serious question, did anyone else laugh their lungs out at his reaction when Elthina died? I was like "Haha, why were you following me when you could've just taken her some place safe in the city, you idiot?"
In any case, I'd love to see Sebastian again, if it means I get see him making a fool of himself even more.

I wonder, if it turns out we can go to Starkhaven, and the veil tears are everywhere, will the desire demon (can't remember it's name) we defeated in DA2 be able to return and harass Sebastian further? He seemed to have a tough time resisting her the first time, and given what has happened with the Kirkwall Chantry and Ethinia, I would think he is in a very vulnerable state of mind.
I've totally NEVER considered writing fanfic where Sebastian and Hawke's mage son is haunted by Allure...

If I were a demon Sebastian would be a very easy target and a feast for both Pride and Desire.
If Sebastian was ever to return to DA, that's how I'd want to see him. I don't want to kill him, but I'd like to see him get possessed. Take him down a few pegs and show that's he's just as mortal as anyone.

Maker yes! Little wishy-washy jerk, wanting to turn in my friends? It's time to see how he likes being treated like a walking nuke that everyone thinks should die. See how he likes becoming one of the things he hates the most. ![]()

Uh, How about him being the only sane person you meet in you're entire time in Kirkwall? Aka being of the mind that socializing with Blood Mages and Abominations is bad.
And he never moved to alert the Templars on either party, He didn't even turn against Anders until his little explosion.
Maybe it's because i like the character i don't like the notion of him being ruined merely out of spite.

You'd think you didn't have the option of not recruiting him the way people go on about ways to murder him, have him be tormented, possessed, etc...
I hope he shows up in DA:I as a major NPC and makes trollface at players who spared Anders. Then I hope he publicly executes Anders and Merril in the town square.

But it's too late after you recruit him, that would be metagaming. I don't like to metagame in RPG's.

You only play through a game once? Man, I play through several times to see what's different. I wish I had the option to not recruit or to kill Anders and Merrill. I guess I can see Anders being "important" to the plot because of what he does in the end, but there was no reason for Merrill to be forced on you. People who hate Sebastian have the luxury of skipping him, I never had the option to skip the ones I hate.

I would be very happy to see Sebastian again, and I would be pleased if our decisions in DA2 factored into how his story plays out.

I don't play through the game once, but when I make choices I always roleplay as if I don't know what is going to happen ( if I do. ). It's like I said, I don't metagame.
