I noticed over in the Twitter thread that they released screenshots of Adamant Fortress and it's flying Tevinter banners.

 

Looks like maybe the Venatori took over Adamant, which we know was decimated in Asunder. Seems like this could tie Dorian into the plot.

If his name is Dorian then it'll truly fit with the sea motif mentioned in previous pages. Hemhas a trident for a staff. And his tarot card may have a tenticle behind his back.

I love how terribly the meanings of these names match the characters they belong to. Varric's couldn't give a **** about honor in most cases, and he'd prefer to take care of the problem before someone he cares about needs defending. Sera, based on her character description, is neither an angle nor in possession of any particularly high rank. As for Cassandra, she'll need to get over her school-girl crushes before she finds herself entangling any men. At this rate we'll come to find out that Dorian was born in a dessert. 

 

EDIT: myahele does bring up a good point though, he does alright have a sea motif going for him, maybe Dorian's name will actually end up suiting him. And perhaps some of these other characters will find themselves growing into their names as they develop.
