I was trying to think of something to say... and then I noticed that the rogue inquisitor on the right side of my screen is wearing gauntlets almost exactly like ones in the Altus Mage art... so perhaps we actually can see DHMG in that amazing armor.

... it's just more entertaining to make the Enchanter think that a full set of restraints and a stretching rack are de rigueur in every magisterial bedchamber.

 

The internet went out at my house, so I made a Starbucks run just so I could post this:

 

Vivienne: Dorian, I have need of those books you removed from the library the other day. Would you be a dear and get them to me as soon as possible?

Dorian: Truly? I was just on my way back to my quarters, First Enchanter, if you would like to join me and retrieve them yourself.

Vivi: *smiles icily* I will wait here, if you don't mind.

Dorian: *raises an eyebrow* ... Have I offended in some way, Madame?

Vivi: Oh, no, not at all. I just try to steer clear of your chambers in particular, darling. I'd rather not witness whatever horrid antics you get up to within, even for a moment.

Dorian: Ah, still believe that I am powering my magic by covertly sacrificing all those starving elven orphans I keep in my pockets, do you?

Vivi: *rolls eyes* Well, you must be working some sort of awful magic on us all. I don't imagine the Inquisitor keeps you around for your sparkling personality, or your taste in wine.

Dorian: *dramatic shrug* A true mystery, that. My place within our merry band aside, my dearest Vivienne, you needn't worry about witnessing any sort of depravity from my chambers. Alas, upon leaving Tevinter I was also forced to part from the common comforts of home.

Vivi: *wryly* Should I be shocked that depravity was one of your homey comforts?

Dorian: Oh, dear sweet Maker, no, not the depravity itself. I can bring that anywhere. It's the implements thereof that I miss! Any magister worth his salt had a bedchamber fully equipped with the finest of leather restraints, sometimes a set of shackles, and at least one rack. I was fortunate enough to also possess a wonderful array of flogging instruments. *dramatic, wistful sigh*

Vivi: *rubs temples* I can't believe I'm saying this, but please tell me you used those for arcane blood rituals of some sort.

Dorian: *smirks* For what other nefarious purpose would they exist? Unless you mean to imply something inappropriate, in which case I am utterly shocked by how naughty your imagination is, my dearest Madame de Fer. Didn't know you had it in you.

Vivi: I... ugh. Keep those tomes where they are, I am leaving before you further upset my sensibilities. *storms off*

Varric: *sidles up to Dorian* You're... joking about all of that, right?

Dorian: Why, yes. Yes I am.

Varric: And you realize once she figures out that you're bullshitting her in half of your conversations, she is going to redouble her efforts to find a way to make you disappear without alarming the Inquisitor.

Dorian: Oh, yes.

Varric: *sighs* Pavus, I pity your lack of self-preservation. You know she genuinely hates you?

Dorian: *positively beaming, the arrogant ass* And I adore the fact that she's always willing to believe the worst of me. It makes life so much more entertaining.

Sometimes I worry that I have unrealistic expectations of DHMG's attractiveness because of fanart.  Then I remember...

He certainly does seem handsome! Hopefully he does not disappoint when we get a full screenshot. Though with how interesting speculation about his character is, if he really is Dorian, I'll like him regardless of what he looks like.

I figured they were blue or gray based on the war room image.  Leilana has pale eyes in there too, and her's are blue in the games, but Solas' eyes are pale in that image as well, while they seem dark violet in game. But things have changed since that image, so who knows. In other words, just speculation.

tbh I don't really understand the collective gravitation towards blue eyes, it just seems like the go-to """"exotic"""" thing, like.. idk not that it's bad, obviously blue eyes occur in ever kind of person in real life, it's just weird to see people jump on a rarer, less likely trait first before considering the mundane?

 

I've seen a lot of OCs in my time *thousand yard stare*

I've always considered hazel and serpent green eyes as the most beautiful. Blue eyes are a dime a dozen to me. But to see a brilliant green emerald is something amazing to me.

I think the gold comes from the general lighting, personally I preferred grey. I just changed them to blue because of the colour scheme of my first painting was mostly red. Odd thing to fuss over when making fanart...   

And oy, you've been lackluster with sass art in this thread as of late, can I pester? I'll pester, am pestering.
