That sounds like it would take more effort. Since sloth demons want to make their victims complacent, maybe they choose not to show their own form to try to throw people off... or maybe it's because Bioware hasn't made the sloth demon yet.Everyone knows Sloth Demons are too lazy to make a true form. They just copy the forms of others.

I was thinking about what might be revealed at E3 and realized I'm more excited for DHMG info/video/voice than anything else (except maybe a complete list of LIs and their orientations
). So soon, I can hardly stand it.

i think its hard to think of a true form for it, when there's an animal called a sloth in real life....

I thought that BioWare was going save the orientation info for when you play the game. So, you would have to grind fort your love.

Do you think we'll get ME2 style character trailers? Then we could hear his voice...
I can't remember- what accent does Tevinter have again? For some reason he keeps having Antivan and Orlesian accents in my head and I don't think that'll stop until I hear him actually talk.

Probably some variation of upper-class English. That's usually the norm with Roman-inspired characters in fiction, and I believe Danarius had one.
They could do something out of left field like Greek, which would be historically appropriate for a Byzantine-y kinda culture, but it doesn't really suit the name and I don't think it'd be that appropriate.
(If part of the influence for the character is literary dandies like Dorian Grey, then you'd think a posh London accent would be the most obvious.)

I'd love if the Tevinter characters in general, including DHMG, got Italian, anything Balkans, Greek, or Turkish accents. Might be too much to ask, and yeah I'm one of those people who 'suffers' through most of the RP used for Romans and Greeks. I'm a bit confused with the Tevinter designs as is...the in-game clothing looks so different from much of the designs I've seen in the comics and concept art. So much black and gawth going in those books...then in the game I can definitely see the Roman/Persian/Greek influence.
I guess if Dorian gets the hood, that ties his design in with that Tevinter Mage I saw in World of Thedas, but his gear still has more Roman influence in it to me.
Still waiting with baited breath for E3, and hoping this guy gets a name, LI status, etc.

The design actually reminded me of senatorial robes, which would make sense - the magisters are the Imperial Senate, by definition.
I agree that the design veers pretty sharply away from the stuff in World of Thedas, but one of the artists said ages ago (and I have no idea where to find the link) that DA:I was really the first time that they sat down and properly established a common fashion style, architectural flourishes and defining symbolism for a whole bunch of factions and cultures. It makes sense that in doing so they might've contradicted the stuff that came before, if those sketches in WoT were just one concept artist or whatever.

I have a question. Whatever made him the fan favorite for the m/m romance? Granted, I'm not complaining (cause he's drop dead gorgeous) but what about his character design made us think so? Honestly, I am at a loss. If you say that it's just because of the hands, Imma smack you.

He isn't the fan favorite. There are hundreds of posts about a m/m for Cullen. Dozens for Solas. Quite a few for Iron Bull. Everyone just like everyone, I don't think there is any consensus on who is the preferred m/m, unless you are in that char's thread lol.

Not sure, got the impression that it was Moustache+Name=Dandy=Gay.

From such topics where people guess orientation, and who will romance what, DHMG is more often thrown into the m/m category.

The name "Dorian" is quite suggestive. Even when we had no idea what the character looked like, it has a lot of literary symbolism behind it.
(At least, that was my reason.)

Exactly. Most often I see this guy as being solely m/m, Solas bi, and Cullen being straight. My question was just asking what made some people think he was more likely to be m/m only. Not sure, got the impression that it was Moustache+Name=Dandy=Gay.

Dorian is a lot less common than Alice, though
It's incredibly rarely used as an actual given name (at least, from my understanding) and the first thing that comes to mind is Dorian Grey, and all of the pop culture that comes with that character archetype (the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, or that Penny Dreadful TV show.)
That, and "Pavus" being Latin for peacock had me thinking he might be an m/m option two years ago or so when the survey leaked - and that was ages before anyone associated the picture of DHMG in the survey with the character concept.

I don't know if he's stereotypical of a 'gay' man, I just know he's hot.
