I bet he has a gem-embellished jar of mustache wax that he whips out whenever he gets bored. Like you'll be talking to him about the first time you killed a man, and how his eyes stayed open, accusatory, and Dorian's just humming that one song they used to play at Braeva's parties while working the ends of his 'stache into perfectly balanced curves.
We must also take into account the carefully crafted sideburns, those also need a few minutes extra shaving attention. Another vital question comes to mind: is there an official Inquisition barber?! WHO COULD IT BE? Are they merely a barber or do they run a full-service salon?! Where else would Vivienne get her nails done!?

His facial hair sorta looks Orlesian, but everything else about him looks Tevinter (also, we don't have much Tevinter facial hair for comparison).
A few pages back, ElitePinecone showed the Tevinter battlemaster and battlemage, which are armed and armored in a similar fashion to DHMG. The battlemaster and DHMG survey art have similar coloring, swords, and decorative dangly straps, and the other possible DHMG art has a similar shoulder/hood. The battlemage and DHMG both use a staff and sword and are very lightly armored.
