I'm really hoping that we get a "Meet him at E3" image for him. Based on the one of Sera, I think that they are going to release several of them and they'll have a moniker, since Sera is "The Wild Card". I wonder what DHMG's will be?

Someone said they are using the Tarot cards for the monikers, so I assume Dorian will get the Hierophant.

I'm not assuming anything, I'm saying that if people are expecting a full companion-like romance from an NPC just because BIoware said he was romanceable, maybe they are expecting too much. You don't think popular demand had anything to do with Bioware making Cullen romanceable?

How so? Cullen, Leliana and Scribbles aren't simple NPC. They're major characters in the Inquisition (up to being present along companions in the trailer), and his VA already confirmed his role is larger than in previous games.
On popular demands, Gaider already addressed this topic many times.
Anyway, I'll stop now, because I don't want to derail the thread further. Feel free to PM me if you want to continue .

He could be.  I suspect that we are only going to get 1 bisexual guy.  Just not sure who it will be.

I believe there is a Wild Card in the tarot deck, not really a card but still in it. Kinda like a Joker in a normal deck of cards.

Yeah, he's the one that I'm least interested in (with DHMG clearly being the one that I'm most interested in), but given that I'll probably get some one of DHMG, Cullen, Varric, Iron Bull, or the Bearded Warden, I'm not going to sweat it yet.

So let's say the three are Cullen, Solas, and DHMG being straight, bi, and gay respectively. So if I run a straight female, I'm stuck with Solas as my only option for companion romances. That just sucks.

Yeah, but options beyond Solas and one would be nice. It means my Male Inquisitors will have multiple romance options. Solas (from his descriptions and image), just hasn't been doing it for me. That's a personal opinion though.

 

As for NPC romances, I heavily disliked it in ME, as having your character's LI join you on missions added a lot to the romance. I especially didn't like how any gay male who didn't have Kaidan only had one romance, and it was the NPC one. If anyone would like to know what specific moments in ME where follower LI added something (in my opinion), I'd have to PM it as I still haven't figured out spoiler tags.

Exxxxactly. I take my li everywhere so it'll just be a HUGE let down if my only choice is Solas who is the least physically attractive in most people's book (from what I've read here on the forums). I just can't believe bioware would do that to the sistas

Oh, I have no problem with NPC romances. I love how they have them actually. But having only one companion available makes me feel sad.

We don't know that this is even how it will turn out. Hell, Bioware can easily, and I almost expect them to, throw us a curveball when it comes to romances.

My stance on NPC romances in ME3 is negative, as for DA:I, I'm neutral on the matter, I can't be fully positive as there is something to having your LI follow you during missions. By just quantity of content, NPC romances are "less than". As for quality, like I said, I'm neutral for the moment.

 

If we are talking romance, the one thing I'm afraid of is the DA:O days, where the romances that were game-altering (getting to be a mistress or queen with your LI, the dark ritual's subtext, and some subtext to Witch Hunt) were blocked from gays. I'm wary, that's all. (I was no fan of Zevran).

 

EDIT: This doesn't mean I believe everyone should be bi, I just hope the real world effect romance (anyone kill Anders after romancing him), are split equally. And again, this is all personal opinion.
