Hm, but Dorian's dialogue established that he was shocked at Alexius' actions - "what have you done?!", etc.
Doesn't sound at all like someone who was used to raising the dead at the drop of a hat, and he is meant to be a non-typical magister.
He was a bit... scattered. I felt like he could have steered the direction of the conversation a bit better, asked about things we don't already know about, etc. But I wasn't expecting much from a ten minute interview anyway.

I don't expect him to be a goody two-shoes, but he sounds very far removed from the worst parts of Tevinter that people imagine when they hear the name.
Not just in the sense that he probably abhors blood magic and dragon worship, but maybe even institutions like the Imperial Chantry and the subjuation of elven slaves.
Though I do wonder if he's going to be one of the characters who clashes with The Iron Bull - remember that Tevinter and the qunari are constantly fighting over Seheron, and I think it was hinted that this is where IB comes from.
(Unless IB is from Par Vollen, I suppose. Now I'm confused.)
With the announcement of Sera being a lesbian, does anyone else have a sneaking suspicion that Dorian is the gay option? Having Solas be the gay romance would mean that both elves in the party are homosexual, and I don't know if they'd do that... (And we know Cullen is bisexual at most since he's established liking women in DAO.)

And knowing the writers' sadistic side, it might be just-so Gaider to have him snicker mischeviously in front of his monitor. "And now that we told them that Cullen is in the game and is even a love interest, watch all the ladies squeal with glee. And then watch them when I tell them that he's turned gay..."

I think a primal human sense of self-preservation would prevent them doing that.
Edmonton might be cold in winter, and hell it might even stop zombies that far north, but nothing would get in the way of an enraged Cullen army marching on Bioware HQ.

I would've assumed that Blackwall was actually just not interested in Sex, that no matter what preference he has sworn off love and sexual relationships. Like a Obi-Wan or a Henri Ducard.

Mainly because he seems awesome, and i hope a lot of people get the option to romance awesome characters.
I couldnt do it myself though... Don't get me wrong, i want to hang out with Moustache, and even be friends with Moustache...
But i dont think i want to sleep with Moustache...There'd be, like, Moustache grease everywhere...
So I just made a deal with a gay friend of mine, if Dorian is gay he'll bang him for me and if Cullen is straight I'll bang him for him, that's what friends are for...
