I liked his other photos so I'm not calling him ugly or anything. On the contrary I think this photo is a disservice to how good he looked in other photos.

Someone took this photo during a moment where he's making a really agonized expression. It's quite...derpy, as anyone else would look if someone took a random photo of your face in a conversation.
That's the thing with Dorian. We don't have proper "Character Intro" portraiture, so we rely on grainy, in-game screen caps, usually taken when the character is speaking or otherwise doing unflattering things with his mouth. As someone who has taken a *lot* of screen caps, I can tell you that it almost always turns out screwed up. Either they blink or they're making a W sound, or some other weirdness. Best bet is to use FRAPS and go through frame by frame until they don't look derpy.
With that in mind, I'm holding off on making any assumptions about Dorian's appearance until after the official character posts are up.
Although I do mourn the loss of those glorious cheekbones Ymmir gave him....

Oh, yes, I definitely found him attractive in motion and in most shots I've seen of him. It was just he was like. Extra derpy in that one, but a bunch of people were squeeing and who am I to judge those who love derpfaces?
Healing magic harms the undead, or at least it does in D&D. Actually, instant-healing magic could be really bad if the person using it has no idea how to practice medicine. Yeah, you healed that guy's busted arm but you didn't set the bone before casting now its worse.
Actually healing spells belonged to Necromancy school in D&D 1e/2e, and were a reverse versions of Inflict wounds/Harm type of spells. Which kind of made sense, and idk why they were moved to Conjuration school.
I know that, but people were talking about Dorian being called a healer in the storyline and such. Making him a healer in the story but giving you the option to make him a dps would be odd.Not necessarily. When they say that, I think that's just in the way we invest our spell/talent points, not what actual specialization our companions possess.
Well, even if he isn't a Dreamer, I'd love to enlist a Dreamer (Feynriel) to help out the Inquisition. Maybe to help give some more irritating nobles a push.

If they are in a rift, who knows what actually happens. But yeah, I just figured they were knocked out. If they kept Leilana alive, why not others for whatever purpose it is they have.
I hope we have a way to avoid having any companions die, if that's the case.

I have to agree that, yes, he did look like a derp in that shot but what a beautiful looking derp.
Ugh, I can't wait until we get some official screenies for him. I hope BW will continue to do what they did with Sera, IB, Blackwall and Vivienne.

Same. Just like I didn't want to be That Person for that scrunched face, crosseyed-ish shot of Dorian from the demo some pages back. Dorian's a good-looking fellow, just a lot of these close-up shots have not been, ah, too flattering. Animation woes.

One of the other people who watched it(can't remember who but I know it was one of the 5 who got the special picture) said Sera was unconscious.
