If they had a relationship then it's kinda weird that Dorian is so calm about Lelianna slaying his ex-lover

Undead ex-lover, but still...

This is also really true. I was just thinking, it's weird that Dorian wouldn't have some sort of comment or reaction there.

So maybe he does mean Alexius with that comment.

I just rewatched and realized how old Alexius was. He looks ancient. Maker, I was thinking he was in his 40's or 50's for some reason. Yeah, if he was with either of them I hope it was Felix.

Or...or... He's already made peace with Felix's death and knows that the current Felix is a mockery of what he used to be. He's been dead a long time, after all. Makes me wonder how he was preserved. Cryogenic magic?

Not that I'm certain it was Felix but you can interpret it this way.

(Then again, "I know you cared for him" could be a totally innocent comment about Dorian being sad for his former master's death.

it is about Felix. He was his lover I am sure.

It would be necromancy.

Probably I guess.

That seems... disproportionately certain, given how little we know of Dorian, Alexius, Felix, their relationships to each other and their relevancy to the events of the demo. All we know is that Alexius is Dorian's former mentor and that Felix was his son.

Edit: Not that I'm disagreeing, it just struck me as a little odd.

There's a "script" of the full demo posted earlier. Things were said and shown that implied it.

For all we know we could be wrong, but its not completely unfounded as you suggest.

Yep. If Dorian studied under Alexius, he might have easily been childhood friends with Felix - if they were friends, he'd still be bummed about Felix being dead.

In another thread:

Dorian's accent is definitely English, but his voice actor is (I believe) also East Indian, so you will hear a bit of that in it, as well.

Okay... but Dorian was named after the writers had a discussion where the old Hercules cartoon came up.

In other words, it's reaching a bit to suggest that sharing a name with an LGBT character is evidence of anything. ;)

This and the fact that are race restrictions as well make me believe that most of our companions will be LI and that Dorian it's at least Bi.

Exactly, they could have been BFF's come on people :P

India is in Asia. Middle East is well... the Middle East!

Now I'm most definitely interested in hearing Dorian's voice. There's nothing like having an English accent with a mix of something different. :D

Do you mean the one that EP and I were discussing earlier, or an actual "script" script of the demo I haven't seen yet? Because if you mean the same one I've been using as a basis, it was incredibly vague to the point that I don't think it implies anything, especially regarding a romantic relationship, and not one between Dorian and Felix specifically.

I've looked over it a couple of times, and to me it still reads as if it's about Alexius, as the writer mentions fighting and killing Alexius, after which the Inquisitor expresses condolences to Dorian having been close to him (could be either, and Alexius was the last person referenced). And also that it was just a feeling he got, and not anything outright shown or mentioned.

But anyway, it doesn't matter. Like I said, the conviction just seemed a little out of place.

Edit: Accent clarification. Interesting. Can't wait to properly hear it in-game!

But India and Pakistan share a much disputed border, and Pakistan is very much in the Middle East? Am I missing something?

Conviction is a little strong. It's all simply speculation which is essentially making grand theories out of tidbits of information.

Your own deductions may be true just as well. For now, were just having fun grasping at straws til some REAL info comes out :P

No it isn't. It's a Muslim-majority South Asian country. Middle East is a different historical region.
