We don't know that yet. As we don't know if the party class ratio will be equal.

I'm kinda hoping we will have more LI's this time around. The game is much larger and if Cullen is an LI and there are only 4, then DHMG or Solas (maker forbid both) wont be. #first world self appointed privileged gamer problems
But seriously, Cullen is cool and all with a complicated broody past but I rather have some fresh blood. However, I'm glad for the fan girls/boys. Either way, I'm pretty positive my inquisitors will find someone to love. I have high faith in the devs and writers. You never know.

Has there been any news on DHMG? I've accidentally fallen in love with his concept art and now that Cullen is mostly confirmed I don't know what to do. I want DHMG but I want another lady in the group too but I'm pretty sure the last companion is supposed to be someone from Asunder??? Halp ;_;

No news on DHMG   I'm not 100% sure, but I believe someone said a character from Asunder would be in the game but not necessarily a companion.  I may be way off on that though.

I think Cullen, Dorian/DHMG and Cole are still all about as likely as they've always been. I wouldn't take what Greg Ellis said to "mostly confirm" Cullen, since he said himself that he basically had no idea what he was confirming.

I agree about Cullen.  I think that it's likely that he will play a major role.  If that's as a companion or a major NPC, that's to be determined.  I do think that it's hard to mistake "romance" though.  I'd not go as far as to say that he is confirmed as an LI, but I think it's looking likely given everything that we know.

However!

I like him too, but I'm more attracted to this guy, the Grey Warden is very attractive too, and I'd enjoy him as a romantic interest but if I had to choose one it'd be this guy

To be honest if no one out of DHMG, Beardy Warden, and Iron Bull end up as LIs I may remain loveless in Inquisition. Or with a lady but up not interested in any of them so far either

Well, from the "confirmations" and speculation from the two other games, i would say we get atleast an elven and human LI for both genders, and let's stay somewhat realistic and say we get 2 LI from each gender, and that the Cullen thingy is true, then the male spots may aswell be taken already lol...but then again what do i know...NOTHING . Also this should perhaps not be in this thread, but i think it's a bigger change if we hope for the warden LI...Since all the pictures/vids and all that.

We don't really know there will only be two male LIs. There were three last time, with Sebastian. If Cullen is an NPC, he probably doesn't take up a companion romance slot, if he has a romance at all. So, I wouldn't be too quick to count them as full.

Varric won't be a LI. I'll eat every hat I own if he is.

 

Solas is the biggest worry, and obstacle atm. Cullen would be fine, as would Grey Warden, Iron Bull, and Flaily Mustache guy.
