If Sera is an option for female characters than we'd assume there has to be at least one male equivalent. 

 

Plus I don't really see them spending money on separate examples of same-sex romance and representation in different characters, when one companion's story arc can do both.

It's possible, even quite likely. I'm sure there'll be quite a few LGBT NPCs, the devs have suggested as much.

 

All I'm saying is that it's cheaper to have LGBT representation among the companions by also having those characters be romances. I can't really see them investing in significant same-sex-related content and story arcs if those party members aren't also romanceable by the player. 

 

(Unless it's a throwaway line in their backstory, I guess, but then the only people who see it will be the ones who talk to the party member every chance they can get.)

You see this is exactly what I want Viv and Dorian's relationship to look like.

I hope so because I absolutely fell in love with her character

 

My only consolation is that it would be unlikely to have two Tervinter Magister companions so if we did have Maevaris we probably wouldn't have had Dorian. I am very happy with Dorian but I still hope Maevaris will one day be a companion or at least in the game (or a future game) as an NPC.

I've been holding onto hope that they'll do small bios of the rest because we really don't see or hear much on Dorian, Solas, Scribbles, or even a confirmation of Cole.

I'm thinking Dorian could be a possibility as a future bio since they finally announced his name at IGN. I don't know but it really seems like Vivi, Iron Bull, and Cassandra hold the spotlight for now.

Agreed. I'm glad to know they'll see eye to eye. I like it when companions get along and joke together instead of always bickering.
